Côte Restaurant Exeter

Well situated. As partly disabled, I was given very friendly and helpful service on arrival. Staff attentive and efficient throughout meal. Food served hot and fresh - and very tasty, and whole atmosphere very pleasant.

Lovely food and friendly staff, we were told how long we would have to wait for our food. Didn’t feel we were rushed to finish or vacate the table. Would definitely recommend.

As always good food and service. Always satisfied with my visit. Slightly unsure about the two special menus, noticed the early bird one has been down graded, not the same choice as before. More expensive menu taken over.

Service not good. Waited 15 minutes for drinks/food order to be taken. Main course took 1 hour & 15 minutes to arrive. They didn't charge for our drinks (£22) as they knew the service was bad.

Good weather, good food, good waiter, good wine. overall a very pleasant experience. HAPPY TO REPEAT THE EXPERIENCE. GGod choice frm a la carte menu

We had a very nice table , attentive service and an excellent early supper . The staff were helpful, smart and polite. Goujons and chips delicious and crepes faultless

We had great food, and great service as always, even though we almost doubled our reservation just a day before - thank you very much!

Had to wait ten minutes for our order to be taken and then a further twenty minutes for our food to arrive. Only one waiter downstairs. We therefore didn't pay the service charge which the waiter challenged saying he had done his best!

First class. Excellent service and very good food. On a hot day of shopping, a real treat! We will be back, and make a reservation. Too good to be turned away!

The staff were excellent and very friendly with a good sense of humour. We were able to eat outside on a glorious evening and when we realised we were running late they managed to get 8 desserts to us v quickly, which were gorgeous.

The staff were very attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful My mum and I enjoyed our food very much, we felt the quality was very good to and very tasty 😋

food was excellant. service was perfect & made our 1st wedding anniversary extra special. I hope the white choc mousse was so nice & i hope it appears on the menu now

Absolutely faultless. The staff was attentive without being 'in one's face'. We had a late evening meal and the following morning a most delicious breakfast. Good value and excellent quality.

I love Cote in Exeter. Service and food always excellent and such a lovely ambience every time we go. Just love it and such a perfect location.

Wonderful setting.. excellent food, and service and wide choice on the menu. Always tecommend this restaurant. Staff most friendly and welcoming and visit regularly for lunch.

We had visitors from far away staying with us and so I requested (if possible), a table on the first floor by the window with a view of the cathedral. We were given the perfect table and our waiter (from Sicily) was brilliant. The food was delicious too.

Ambience good as ever, very busy on a Friday night but moved to a quieter table without any fuss. Food was good but not great. Service very good as always but suffered a bit from the extra busyness - had opened another floor up and didn't seem to have quite enough staff to cope as efficiently as usual. Still a good experience.

Nice place, pleasant space right in front of the Cathedral, good food and good service for a fair price. Not too noisy like some other restaurants. We will definitely come back.

It was our first time at Cotes and the service was exceptional and the food very tasty! We will go again and recommend it for a good meal out at a reasonable price.

Superb food, friendly and polite staff, lovely atmosphere. The hake was simply to die for, we will definitely be making a return visit very soon

The food in general and the service were spot on. The praline crepes were stunning - best I’ve ever had! However my partner had the moules which weren’t the best and felt a little shriveled - if they had been a little more plump we would have undoubtably given 6 stars!

Absolutely Spot On! Wonderful wine; excellent service and superb food. I was in heaven. The Sea Bass fillet is a misnomer, as one actually receives both fillets, perfectly cooked with a slight crispy skin and wonderfully white meat, served in a beautiful sauce. Quite perfect!

Both food and service was fabulous. The calamari was so tender, and the duck melted in your mouth. The staff were very on the ball and friendly. We will be returning very soon!

We use Exeter restaurants Cote in particular quite often however yesterday’s experience was not as good Far too much salt had been added to my main course This will not detur me from using our favourite again hopefully soon

As ever a great meal and attentive staff - with a great view of the cathedral I think it’s the Best place to eat in the city centre

We had a very good meal which was delicious and good value. Our only issue was the temperature; we kept our jackets on as the air con seemed to be near us.

I have eaten in Cote several times and have never been disappointed, ate in the Exeter branch and again had Excellent well cooked and presented food, with good service.

We had a fabulous evening with a perfect window table looking over Cathedral Green as requested as it was my birthday treat! Lovely food coupled with the complimentary bottle of rose whats not to like!

Nice main course . Desserts -could be better with more choices . Very helpful staff . Limited vegetarian options that haven’t been changed for a long time .

The special June starter was hard to eat as the toasted bread was over toasted to the point of being a bad experience. A comment to the Head [?] waitress did not really receive a satisfactory reply.

Excellent as always. Good food and lovely helpful staff. Special trip to Exeter just to eat at Cote. Says everything. Looking forward to next visit.

As always the staff were friendly and efficient. We ate the 2 course Early Evening menu - the starters were a bit mean, but the mains (Spicy Chicken with extra fries were very good) , otherwise would have given it a 6.

Great atmosphere, nice views over cathedral green. Food was delicious. Nice range of drinks on offer. Would definitely recommend for a formal meal in Exeter.

Excellent food and very, very good service after a slightly elongated wait at the start- but they were very busy and it was understandable. Our waiter was extremely polite, efficient and friendly without being intrusive. The dessert was superb - the wonderful Cote creme caramel!

Great prompt attentative service from all staff ,great easily accessible central location with wonderful views of the cathedral,delicious food & refreshing drinks !!!! Very impressed

Very nice food with great views of the cathedral. Choice was varied and busy efficient service. Probably cheaper options in Exeter but would rebook due to quality of food.

Great food as always. The restaurant was busy so service a little slower than usual. Really appreciate that gluten free options are clearly marked as such.

As always it was lovely we had the new Prestige Menu it was a very nice selection. Service was good and we had the window seat as requested. Thank you once again

Always enjoy cote, but this evening was the best yet. The new prestige set menu had excellent choices and the place was lively with the staff on really good form.

Terrific choice on the menu. Unfortunately it was rather noisy in the upstairs restaurant. Would suggest some insulation might help. The staff were very helpful.
