Excellent service as usual. Both meals Duck & veal were exceptional.

We visit your restaurant each time we come to Exeter. A delicious meal on Friday evening as usual.

The food was nice but the service was poor with a 12.5% service charge the wait staff don't have to try too hard.... 20 minutes wait to place order, and then I had to ask for our order to be taken, had to ask twice for water for the table.... When the main course was served. Sarcasm from waiter when we said we didn't want a dessert, or coffee, or cognac. We won't be returning

Very disappointed. No lobster when specifically offered and requested. When I then ordered Veal sirloin, it was initially served as sirloin steak, and when the veal arrived it was not medium rare but well done. The presentation was poor, and did not live up to the expectation. The Chateaubriand was excellent. The wines (Chablis and Gevrey Chambertin) were excellent but no Sancerre as initially ordered. Staff attitude was not good. Annalise was excellent and sorted the problems.

Despite a stay of 2 hours - until after midnight - the staff remained cheerful and attentive.

I have been here several times and always enjoy the food however unfortunately tonight the service was very disappointing. It was very busy in the restaurant but there did not seem to be enough staff. We had to wait ages inbetween courses, no-one came to ask us if our food was ok and every time we wanted something we had to flag someone down. When I was returning from the toilet a member of staff also ran into me carrying a bucket of ice as she was rushing and wasn’t looking where she was going. Is a shame as the food was lovely but was spoilt by the slow service despite the staff being very polite when we did actually speak to them.

Absolutely superb! Service Ambience and of course the wonderful food. Lovely Half lobster starter dish and once again the perfectly cooked Sea Bass fillets, served with a wonderful sauce. Perfection!

We had the three course lunch meal. The choice was great, I had difficulty deciding! I had the salad to start, so fresh and tasty, followed by chicken and the chocolate pot. All were delicious and I would highly recommend. My favourite restaurant in Exeter and today's visit did not disappoint. Thank you so much 😊

Unfortunately the steak frites had been standing and the entire plate was luke warm. Creme caramel, which is usually delicious, had very burnt caramel on top - we ate around it, but it wasn't the usual very high standard today.

I love the cote menus. And the fixed price ones are still of a high quality and such good value. The service is always so professional. It's like being in France. So pleasant compared to the indifferent and erratic waiting staff in many eateries in the uk. You can't beat a table upstairs overlooking Exeter Cathedral. It's always without fail a great place to eat whether a la carte, or fixed menu, in the evening or for lunch

We met up with a friend for an early supper. We ate outside overlooking Exeter Cathedral which is a lovely view. Faultless service, food and drink. I had the lamb rump which was delicious and perfectly pink. 10 out of 10. One of our favourite places to eat out.

Enjoyed the meal, service, drinks, everything. Will be coming again. Had the complimentary St-Germain Gin & Tonic Don't normally like gin and tonic, but that was really good. Thanks. On a previous occasion we took French friends to dine with us at Cote and it turned out that their local wine was on your wine list. They were impressed!
