Breakfast with friends at Cote Exeter. Excellent way to start day

I had a tasty two- course lunch of charcouterie followed by sea beam.

|Lovely atmosphere. Genuine service and the best Chateaubriand I've had for several decades.

Always wonderful. Delicious food and friendly service. Our favourite eating place.

A most enjoyable meal,and service first class. Only complaint was it was noisy on the first floor,but we understand accoustics may be dealt with soon

I love to lunch at Cote - service can be a bit patchy but the food's great. Noise levels unavoidable due to the size of the room, but worth it for the BEST view in town.

A favourite restaurant that is very popular in Exeter. As ever on a Saturday, it was very busy and the queue at the door was slow to be processed, annoying those sat in the cold draft. However, once seated, service is fairy efficient and the food always good. Despite the high level of backgound noise, we always enjoy our visits here and highly recommend it to our friends - just do not sit near the main door!

Waiter had slightly odd manner. Quite abrupt. Food ok. Steak rather fatty and chewy.

I came to Côte with a table of ten to celebrate my graduation and it was just perfect! The staff were so lovely, our waiter made the evening fun, enjoyable and special and the food was as always amazing! Couldn’t recommend them enough :)

Thank you very much for a wonderful evening. It was for a birthday and we were treated to complimentary Prosecco which was lovely and very unexpected. The food was incredible. The staff were so friendly. Fantastic.

Speedy service considering how busy they were. We had first-class service from a lovely smiley waiter, who had started work there this week. Excellent set lunch.

We love the staff, so friendly and welcoming as well as attentive and great service. The food is delicious although this time we felt it was slightly over seasoned with salt? Especially the fries. Other than that delicious and highly recommended. Thanks again and we’ll be back soon.

Been to this restaurant Côte on many occasions because it is so good, but sadly this time which was a celebration meal for my wife’s birthday was no so good. Starters excellent but had to waite over 45 minutes for main because as the waiter said his mistake.When it finally arrived it looked as if my wife crepes had been over baked and left in oven and my pork belly had soft skin no crackling which is not the same as previous occasions. Shame

The 2 course lunch menu is great value and totally delicious! As are the complimentary cocktails when one books online.

Very nice food. Friendly waiters. “Optional service” was added to the bill....... not really optional!!! But all in all very nice evening.

All the staff were extremely friendly from the moment we walked in the door until we left. We stated on booking form that we were celebrating a birthday and the complimentary glass of prosecco for the whole table and candle in dessert was a nice touch to make the experience more special. We ordered from the early bird menu in which each course was delicious. We didn't have to wait long in between courses but didn't feel rushed either. Nice cosy atmosphere with a gorgeous view of the cathedral. Will definately be returning and recommending. Thanks for a great evening.

The Prestige and other set menus not available on a Saturday and you need to pre-book to get a table. The Main menu offers a good choice of well cooked and presented bistro style dishes with slick and friendly service.

Service - excellent Fish goujon - very good Spinach and mushroom crêpes - over-cooked Coffee - not very generous portion of cream. Lovely setting.

This was our second consecutive Sunday visit to Cote in Exeter, and it was as good as our first visit. Friendly, courteous staff, coupled with an excellent Gluten Free Breakfast. Very much looking forward to our next visit. Regards Bob Surman.

Amazing food and really amazing service in Exeter. Came for an anniversary and we got complimentary champagne and a sweet happy anniversary sign on our dessert upon request!

Good food, very good service. No window table but we were offered another floor less busy so that was fine.

Good service and atmosphere Steak unfortunately very tough but rest of meals were lovely.

After having an amazing meal in April decided to book again and stay in Exeter for the evening as live in Launceston Unfortunately was really disappointed this time Had to wait outside in the rain as our table wasn’t ready, when we were eventually seated had to wait another 10 mins for someone to take the order Calamari was delicious but crab bisque watery Steak was lukewarm not cooked as requested, tough and not hot enough to even melt the garlic butter The sauce with the sea bass also tepid/cold My husband is not one to ‘make a fuss’ so didn’t mention this at the time My opinion is that they just couldn’t cope with the volume of covers Very disappointed

A very good meal with excellent and friendly service on what was obviously a frantically busy night for the restaurant. Quality all round !

The french onion was so hot my husband burnt his mouth so bad it blistered and he couldn’t eat the rest of the meal. The staff were crap! They leaned over us to collect our plates because it was easy, they could have walked to the other side of the table and serves us properly. We had to wait for the bill for 15 minutes.. One the plus side the food we eat was tasty and very well presented. We will be back.

Lovely evening, Food excellent, staff outstanding, attentive with great attitude and lots of smiles. Location and ambiance amazing. Our table looking out over the magnificent Exeter Cathedral. The Côte formula works so well; authentic French brasserie cuisine of really good quality served by very well trained and highly motivated staff.

Unusual, normally marvellous; but tonight wasn’t their best onion soup shouldn’t have been delivered to table
