Booked a table for breakfast at the last minute. Chose the Formule Breakfast (good value!) and enjoyed hot, well cooked food. The service was good despite it being busy. Lots of atmosphere. Great.

Lovely table on the first floor by the window overlooking the Christmas market and cathedral. Service, food and drinks were very good. Lovely relaxed ambiance, unrushed service. Will defiantly come back if ever in Exeter again.

Attention was not there as very busy. Told it was a 25 min wait for mains. Left waiting to place dessert order. It took so long we just asked for the bill

Food was lovely, service was good overall a great lunch

3 time we go there in about 5-6 weeks and out of those 6 main courses, 2 were "not great". I had the fish parmentier 5 weeks ago and it was great. I had it yesterday and it was a pretty sad story. The sauce was split (white bits among the butter) and hardly any mash on the top. It was edible but far from the Cote standard that we are used to over the years.

Excellent staff nothing was too much trouble and Service was first class

Workmen arrived and were allowed to put up signs/drill and be generally loud while we ate. Very unprofessional and non at all customer focused....

Lovely food and excellent service. The location is great overlooking the cathedral. One of my favourite places to eat and would recommend.

Successful lunch with friends. My whitebait was short of being deep fried and my chicken was somewhat dry - under the heaters too long? But overall not much to complain about with cheerful and attentive staff making the inclusive service charge easier to swallow. We were overcharged - which I didn't pick up at the time - but this was quickly remedied after a 'phone call.

My Wife and I had an extremely enjoyable lunch having first attended the morning service at the Cathedral. We were given a window table that I had asked for on the ground floor and were very well looked after.

Friendly staff, delicious food but 12% service charge is a bit steep.. 10% is normal, hence 4 stars not 5. Good, reliable place for a treat.

We arrived 20 minutes early on a very busy Saturday afternoon with an extremely busy Christmas Market opposite on the Cathedral Green... This was not an issue at all. Although the restaurant was busy, a very recently used table was cleared and cleaned for us to sit at and it was no trouble at all. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food incredible. 5* and can't wait to return.

The food was fab, and our waitress was great not all over us but there when we needed.
