Excellent choice of food for each course on the lunchtime set menu

We were 2 adults and 3 children, and had the most lovely experience. The food was delicious, the service was super attentive and friendly, and it was altogether a fab experience!

The food here is always superb. Had the cod special this time and it was delicious. Best of all though, apart from the view of the Cathedral, are the staff who are always welcoming, warm and attentive. It's my favourite restaurant in Exeter. I absolutely love it!

I only have two issues: 1) I booked using a voucher for two courses £9.95 and paid £11.95 for three people and 2) the tables in the restaurant are far too close together. Having said that the service was good, the food consistently good, the menus reflect true French bistro cookery, the atmosphere is good (although a little cramped) and I shall continue to use your restaurants and recommend you to friends.

Made a very conscious effort to all say happy birthday to my mum, and gave her a free kir royale. Very attentive service and lovely food, particularly considering the value of the set menu.

A quick evening snack of Reblechon cheesy bread and some delicious prawns. Excellent french flavours and a good choice of wine by the glass. Unbeatable value. Perfect service. Our favourite reliable eatery 10/10

Food was fantastic as always. This time we felt that the service was not as good as it has been. Pudding came out at different times, ordered one port, yet got a different one. Dropped cutlery by the table and left it on floor, kept knocking back of chair. Wood serv without letter is know, felt it was pushed on.

This was our second Monday in a row that we had been to Cote Exeter so they must be doing something right with their January promotions. We enjoyed a very tasty meal with excellent service and the free bottle of wine was areal treat. The only problem was trying to get the bill but that won’t stop us going back for such good value experiences.

Booked our table a day in advance and was pleasantly greeted on arrival by a gent with glasses (seemed as though he was the manager) . As far as pleasant service goes it was downhill from there. Once seated and on taking our drinks order I enquired about the complimentary aperitifs as advertised online to which our waiter practically sighed in response before going to get them. Our waiter then proceeded to sternly prompt my shy and clearly nervous 5 year old into ordering for herself, it was uncomfortable all round. The rest of the meal was then served by a different waiter (neither of which introduced themselves) and he was rude, blunt and clearly uninterested in serving us or of our enjoyment of the meal. My Grandmother, mother, myself and even my 2 children (8 & 5) were throughly disappointed with the service and atmosphere it created. The food however was faultless, it was just such a shame that a rare evening together and nice meal was overshadowed by such poor service.

I booked a table through the link for a free bottle of wine with the meal but when I asked about it I was told |I had not! So, disappointed as I knew I'd booked this way!

Another good visit, this time with guests from some distance away. The management put us on a special table somewhat removed from the ambient noise, which was appreciated Good food and good atmosphere as ever.

Had a lovely breakfast at Cote in Exeter. Staff were friendly and attentive and food was excellent!

Always a good choice for pre or after. I often go to to Cote before or after a concert or film, as I know they are really well organised. Even if they're really busy (and they usually are) they manage to serve you in good time. The noise level can be a bit high, especially if there is a big group in, so maybe not ideal for a romantic date or if you want a quiet conversation, but always good value and a vibrant buzzy atmosphere. The service is always really efficient without being intrusive.

It's always such a treat to drop by Exeter Cote on the Cathedral Green, for an early supper before a visit to the cinema/ theatre. The early evening menu is great value for money and consistently good.

Lovely setting with the cathedral view and great food as always. Only gripe was the waiter trying to bully us to pay the OPTIONAL gratuity on our card payment; we wanted to leave a cash tip after so felt this rather rude.
