We thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Cote Exeter today. The food was well prepared and the atmosphere very relaxing although at times quite a bit of background noise which didn’t deter our overall experience. . Definitely will be returning.

I was disappointed in my dishes, they were a lot smaller than usual and had less sauce. Having been a regular for the last 8 years I am not sure I will return. The service was excellent but the standard of food not so good

Great to be back in our local Cote Brasserie! Food was as always good quality. We actually found the service too fast as our mains came while we were still eating our appetisers. We had 3 courses but were in and out in an hour. Would prefer a more leisurely paced meal!

This was not a great experience. My husband’s chicken was raw inside when he cut into it - there was blood trickling out onto the plate. He immediately complained and received no apology, just asked what he would like instead. He ordered the same chicken dish and by the time it came out, the rest of us had finished eating. Again no apology.

As usual food of a very good standard and all social distancing and Covid rules followed, felt very safe.

Nice return, post-Covid. Still good food, but menu limited. What happened to the specials board?

First time out for dinner since lockdown. Greeted so well at the door and kindly given a bag for my wet umbrella which was nice. No waiting around and tables very well spaced out. Service was very fast but slightly more functional than usual. Food was ok but calamari was a little dry and overcooked. Lamb chops were not very pink with burnt edges and fat. Tuna niciose was fab. Didn’t sent back as it was the £10 offer but didn’t leave the full 12% tip as I would normally.

Very enjoyable meal. High quality food and drink with tables nicely spaced. Excellent attentive staff. COTE have exceeded most other restaurants in the Covid world. We will be back.

It was soooo lovely to eat at Côte today my mum and I had a wonderful lunch. And a couple of glasses of bubbles ! Wonderful to see all the staff we know and love. A wonderful lunch. The waiter was exceptionally attentive. Will definitely come again. Ps - please put new potatoes on the sides menu! It was the only thing missing from my meal 😊

We had a lovely meal, as always at Cote in Exeter, and felt safe while doing so. Wouldn't hesitate to have a meal there again. We had felt a little apprehensive as we hadn't eaten out since lockdown began but the measures taken gave us the reassurance needed. Thank you!

The staff were helpful and friendly. Our food and drink arrived very quickly and the food was incredible. Will definitely eat here again.

Staff were really friendly and the food was lovely as always!

We had a pork belly dish and a lamb chop dish - both amazing with the side potato bake! Great taste and generous portion (pork belly might look not that much at first but it was totally filling enough for me). Except for one tiny recommendation to the pork dish that it could use a bit of sweetness in the sauce to balance out the fat. Otherwise I was more than satisfied!

The staff were very attentive. This was the first time we have eaten out since lockdown, and the experience was virtually no different than usual, which was nice (apart from the obvious face coverings). The food as always was lovely. It was my wife’s birthday, and every member of staff that spoke to us, wished her happy birthday which was a nice touch.

As always, exceptional service. Friendly atmosphere and delicious food. By far my favourite place to eat in Exeter!

A really good French formula from start to finish. Why go to Paris when you can come here? Plus travel to France in these strange times (August 2020) is rather off limits unless you want a fortnight of quarantine!

We enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant. The menu is varied with a good selection of dishes. Our meals were delicious. The staff wore face visors which made us feel safer

Great food really tasty full of flavour - partner had tuna Niçoise salad said the tuna was cooked perfectly , great waitress didn’t take her name but from Romania looked after us well - would visistvif back in area again as was on holiday

Great location, we were seated on the top floor with fabulous views over the cathedral and a lovely, much needed breeze. We were served this night and the next by Sam, who was not just charming but also incredibly efficient. He made our two evenings at Cote a real pleasure. The food was reliably good, the steaks being particularly lovely, and so was the wine.

We came for a birthday celebration and we weren’t disappointed. Excellent service and good food. It was lovely to be back here.

Great service and setup during covid. Multiple hand sanitiser points throughout the restaurant and staff all wore face shields. Felt comfortable eating my meal

Great food and great service! Had dinner here for my birthday since they are doing the ‘eat out to help out’ scheme. I have never been to a French restaurant before but this restaurant has exceed my expectations. Would come back again.
