Côte Restaurant Exeter

Very good experience, despite the restaurant being very busy. The lovely food was served quickly and tentative staff. Would recommend the Mother’s Day brunch to anyone.

Dissapointed that the set menu was not available on Saturday eveming. The a la carte menu is a little pricy. Service was not very quick, but the food tasted good.

extensive menu which is unique - well executed and friendly efficient delivery. Not a bad combination in the present market. In the present market one of the survivors!

A lovely evening, food and service great, as usual, and a wonderful ‘buzzy’ atmosphere! Make sure you finish with the chocolate mousse, heavenly and, I’m reliably informed, absolutely no calories......

Classic French menu, served promptly in sensible portion sizes. Attractively priced 'specials' available. Everything was nicely cooked and well presented. We were not that happy to be literally surrounded by families with babies (it was Sat lunchtime) but luckily not too much noisy crying ensued! The big upstairs room is lovely and light, with large windows looking at Exeter Cathedral. Good food in a great location.

I have visited Cote several times and it has always been great. My experience on this occasion had a few problems, I was lunching with friends to celebrate my birthday, two of them had soup which was barely warm and had to sent back, my main course was also warm but I had to decline a replacement as my friends were halfway through their meal by the time we got the waiter's attention. We had to go to the till for a dessert menu as the promised menu never arrived! All in all not a good experience , however our drinks were refunded and I hope my next visit will be better as I do enjoy the food at Cote.

Great location, great breakfast and very friendly staff. The food was served well and the choice was excellent. I think that we may well become regular customers of Cotes.

Dined on a Friday with some friends. Quiet time at 6 pm. Friendly and Good Service and Good Food. Always like their style and menu.

Excellent food, excellent staff and a real "buzzy" atmosphere. What more could you ask for! visited Cote elsewhere but this was a great exxperience, one of the best.

Lovely meal and the staff can’t do enough for you really friendly .would recommend highly. A top place to eat and drink . Well done for having such a great team .

Lovely meal and great service too. French onion soup was delicious! Was nice to virtually have the third floor to ourselves too, especially as there was a few larger parties downstairs so it felt relaxing.

Every time I go to cote it is always such lovely food and lovely service. Also the weekday meal menu is too good to miss!

Another great lunch at Exeter Cote on a lovely sunny day. The service was very good and food was excellent all rounded off with a wonderful bottle of wine.

One of my favourite restaurants, the menu is extensive to the point of never knowing what to order as it all sounds so great. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is really good. Would def go back.

Good food and friendly service. The swordfish March special was divine! Would recommend Cote for consistent quality with the many branches I have eaten at over the years.

A very pleasant location with tables overlooking the Cathedral. The restaurant scores very highly and compares well the other good Cote restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our visit at lunch time today as usual the food was most enjoyable as wad the service. It was rather busy and a little noisy but we don’t mind that. We look forward to a return visit soon.

The Food was excellent and the service was very good even though the restaurant was extremely busy, but this did not spoil a very enjoyable evening.

Bit of a cock up with mains coming before our starters but resolved and no charge for the starter. Also served large glass of wine instead of the medium ordered. Again only charged for medium so all good!

Excellent choices and quality. Never disappoints. Great value! Staff friendly and helpful. We have been visiting Cote Exeter for several years and have always been delighted with the food & the service.

An absolutely beautiful meal, but just a little too long between courses. The company I was with meant that waiting was never a problem, but there was just a little bit too long between each section. Well attended staff and delicious food.

Fabulous food and excellent service at lovely table by window in corner. We all chose the roast sea bass with roasted fennel and lovely French onion soup. We very much enjoyed our complimentary kir royales, I even paid for a second, it was so tasty.

The food was excellent. However, we ordered olives and breads to start with and the main courses were brought straight away. When I asked about our starter, I was told they were on their way and was brushed off very rudely by the manageress. The waitress apologised and said it was her fault, but the management's response was terrible.

Food was presented nice and tasty. There seemed to be a lot of assistant manager /management just floating around and not really gripping the service. Placing plates down heavy handed shows not very experience in a TDH /al la cart menu service

Probably the saltiest meal I’ve ever been served! So-so service. I usually find you can rely on cote for a reasonable meal but this time was a definite miss....

I love Cote Brasserie, always excellent food and service. Can't fault it. Was there for a meal for my bday and once again had a lovely time.

Beautiful restaurant, location overlooking Exeter cathedral is breathtaking. The food is perfect and delicious definitely recommend to anyone. If your in Exeter go visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner !

As always the staff were very friendly, pleasant and efficient. The food is always good value and tasty, but today I had the haddock with peas and it was rather over cooked, which was a shame. The mackerel starter was very nice though.

Another lovely meal (we enjoyed the specials) and plenty of GF options. Relatively busy on the ground and first floors but service remained of a high standard. Warm and cosy despite the weather outside!

Food was OK but the upstairs is SO NOISY that as the evening wore on we wanted OUT! The end-point is you lost sales and we shan't be back unless you find ways of reducing the sound levels. This was not just noisy parties but the effect of no sound-absorbing surfaces. Even the waitress apologised for the noise! Given the range of choice in Exeter you need to fix this issue.

Another great meal at Exeter Cote with their early evening menu deal. Its such good value we had the 3 courses when we perhaps should have settled for the 2! Lovely vibrant atmosphere in a beautiful room. If we lived nearer we''d be here all the time. Lovely polite friendly professional staff.

Visited for a relaxing Sunday breakfast come brunch, it was busy but not hectic and the perfect setting with the Cathedral in full view. Perfect for coffee and a pastry or a little more.

Food was good but service terrible. Took 40 minutes to take order, another 35 for the starter. Drinks orders slow in coming. The bill itself took 15 minutes to come. V poor.

Pleasant staff and pleasant atmosphere. Good value on the special menu with lots of choice. White house wine was delicious. What more could you want.

Didn't like gratuity added to the bill but nice pleasant environment. Food was well priced and good sized coffee. Service was efficient without being pushy
