Côte Restaurant Exeter

Enjoyed our first visit on Wednesday evening. Nice atmosphere, nice surroundings, great food. Staff friendly and very attentive to all our needs . Steve and Sheila.

The friendly staff looked after us very well, although it would have been at the end of a very long day for them. The food was excellent, as always.

Food was lovely, but it was so busy and garlic bread was very dry. Had the set menu, good value for money although the website offered £11.95 for two courses and we were given menu for £16.95 for two courses.

Amazing as usually. We love Jose branch of Côte brasserie!!!!

As ever delicious food, fantastic service and a great view of the cathedral and the rolling hills beyond. Just beware of the seagulls outside !

Everyone enjoyed their food and service. We have come to know what to expect and are seldom disappointed. Our guests were very pleased when they learnt that we had chosen Cote to dine.

We asked for a downstairs table (as one of the party has difficulty with stairs) and this was provided. The food and service were well up to the standard we have come to expect from Cote.

Good service and food even though the restaurant was full during Graduation Week in Exeter. Lovely setting on the Cathedral Green looking out over the cathedral, would highly recommend

The service was professional and friendly. The food was excellent. It was a most enjoyable lunch which I intend to repeat before too long. I will definitely recommend Cote to my friends.

The restaurant was very busy, and service a little slow because if this,. But the standard of service and food was still very high, with friendly attentive staff.

I was on my own but was given a nice table; the food was delicious and the staff were both efficient and friendly. The restaurant was comfortable on a very hot evening.

The food was lush and the staff were lovely! I just thought that the change of lighting throughout the course of our meal made it hard to see what I was actually eating at some points!

Amazing service and food as always. My friend secured a new job, and not only was it mentioned by all staff, we got the table we wanted and received a complimentary drink. Very impressed and praise to all the staff, thank you.

As always we had wonderful service, a fabulous atmosphere and the most delicious meal. Perfect! I have never ever had a bad meal here. Look forward to coming again soon.

Always great food and great service at all Cote restaurants . Special cost menus great and worthwhile. Serving staff are very attentive- best chain there is.

Cote has a great breakfast menu with lots of choice. Lovely view of the cathedral. Excellent staff and delicious food. Will certainly be visiting again.

Regretfully my daughter was unable to have her favourite crepes. We went to Cote because she loves them so but this time they were not available

The food and service were very good, despite it being a busy lunch time. The desserts were well worth adding to the end of the meal - very tasty.

My wife is Gluten Free So to be given a Gluten Free menu which was almost the same as Cotes normal menu was wonderful. Great food as always, lovely staff

Lovely atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, food was good. It's a shame the set price menu wasn't available on the tables with the a la carte menu without having to ask (only 1 of our 7 party ordered from it) but many people wouldn't like to ask. Please don't advertise this outside and then not freely offer it once inside !

great ambience and really enjoyable light lunch( really tasty sauces).....a place to go again and again. Staff very welcoming .And light and airy views over Exeter Cathedral green! What`s not to like !

We had a lovely evening, great, food, excellent service. The dining room was very comfortable and the perfec5 temperatureon such a hot day. The creme caramel is to die for!

We had a wonderful evening. The service was impeccable and our server was lovely. Food was served in good time, even though it was busy, and was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great and the air con made the whole thing perfect! Couldn't have had a better experience.

As usual Cote Exeter was a joyful way to start the day with breakfast served by attentive staff in pleasant surroundings overlooking the magnificent, excellent.

Yet again another excellent meal with very friendly and helpful staff. This is our 'to go place' when we eat in Exeter. The free glasses of 🍷 were very welcome especially as we were celebrating 3 birthdays.

A little disappointed as we were asked to move tables because a table complained we were noisy / 4 of us all in our 50 s ! Tables to the right and left of us didn’t think we were loud. Manageress was polite but could have diffused the situation by moving the complaining table. We left in the end so can’t comment on the food.

This was a return visit, and as always, the staff were friendly and courteous, the food was delicious, and there was a good atmosphere. We had a window seat overlooking Exeter Cathedral on a beautiful sunlit evening which made the experience complete.

On this occassion we booked a table for breakfast. A full english for me and a vegetarian for my partner. We always forget that her spinach has garlic in it , so we share her spinach. One of the things we love about Cote is that we travel about the uk a little and can rely on the quality of food and service at Cote. The atmosphere is always convivial too. We have had lovely meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) Newbury, Clifton, Salisbury, Cheltenham, Bath, Winchester, Cirencester, Birmingham as well as our local Exeter.

Booked via Google, waitress could not find resignation, slight panic, but resolved. sat outside as weather great, but service took a knock, almost overlooked. Always a pleasure to eat there., Food always good, but why £2.25 for a sauce when tomato sauce/mayo is free?

Favourite place in Exeter - offering a great choice of good food and drinks, a terrific view over the Cathedral Green and quick, efficient and very friendly service. Obviously busy at times and therefore it can be a little noisy, however, their customer service cannot be faulted.

I have eaten at several La Cote restaurants in London and across southern England. It offers excellent atmosphere and food. It's my favourite place to eat.

As always a fabulous meal,My Husband and I both had Plaice,That chef [Wally?]sure knows how to cook fish perfectly!!I would thoroughly recommend the fishmeal's,although Everything is Yummy there!!

The food was very good and exactly as described. We have never had a bad meal at Cote. The service was especially excellent this evening.

Fantastic experience from start to finish, staff absolutely charming. Table great and atmosphere reflected that everyone there was very happy and having a fabulous meal. 5 Stars all the way. Very highly recommended to anyone visiting Exeter.

Cote Brasserie in Exeter has the most magnificent location. We have been diners fairly soon after it opened and it never fails to deliver the quality that we are looking for. The staff are friendly but so professional and the menus choices are just right, not too complex but providing a varied range of foods.

Excellent evening superb food. Staff were all kind considerate and lovely. We will definitely come again to try more from the very good and irresistible menu. Thank you for making a birthday special.

Always a pleasure dining at Côte! Particularly enjoyed our complimentary drinks and didn’t even have to prompt anyone. Staff were very attentive, friendly and professional.

We love cote but was really busy last night & seemed understaffed, the staff were all amazing but really rushed off there feet & we waited quite a long time, don’t worry we will be back 😃

Cote in Exeter has to be the best restaurant in Exeter, always top marks for service, food/drinks and a good experience all around. Reliable and trusted place.

We enjoyed bringing friends from New Zealand to this restaurant who were delighted to have a table by the window overlooking the wonderful Exeter Cathedral. The food and service was second to none . We thoroughly enjoyed our evening !

As always I enjoyed at Cote Exeter attentive and brisk service ,a modestly priced bistrot menu , well prepared and presented simple dishes and a panoramic view of the Cathedral . Living in rural France I find it difficult to same the find combination regularly . ..(obviously I am not expecting a view of Exeter Cathedral there ! ) ...It is our family go -torrestaurant for Devon reunions.

The service was a bit slow throughout the meal, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was good but the service charge of 12.5% was excessive.

We found that the food on this occasion was not as good as on previous visits although the staff and service was very good. The set menu did not have so much choice.

Wide menu choice of both food and wine. Good friendly service. The upstairs restaurant was nice and cool despite the hot weather and has wonderful view of the cathedral across the green.
