Excellent and delicious food 👍 and very nice service. We had mussels as a starter and seafood linguini as a main course. Can definitely recommend it 🤗

Good good, friendly staff and good location. I recently passed out in the restaurant thanks to a quick thinking Customer and staff an ambulance was called and arrived within minutes to take me to hospital for check over and ecg. All ok I had flu symptoms then and it must have been that. But many thanks for looking after me so well. Only down side was the starter had only just arrived.

Excellent service. Enjoyable food but rather noisey. Rather difficult to have a conversation with our 86 yr old guest who is slightly deaf. Staff ordered us a taxi and were generally very helpful.

Would recommend Cote Exeter as a place to go to for a meal. We had a set 3 course meal, food was good and service was excellent. We had an enjoyable experience.

Had an excellent meal as usual with pleasant staff and good service. It was very busy so we were lucky to get a table at such short notice.

Food was absolutely delicious, the staff were also very lovely. Price was not extortionate as well. I would change nothing about our trip to Côte.

Great food. 3 courses of heaven. Starter was tomato Breton, simple but delicious. Pork belly for main - was melt in the mouth. Slow service but loved the food.

We could not book for our preferred time so went half an hour earlier. It was a busy Saturday night but service was good and we didn't feel rushed. Food was excellent. Lovely outlook over Cathedral Green. Would definitely use again.

Really friendly and welcoming team. It was super busy but service was still quick and friendly. We had a small problem with a starter but the waiter resolved it so well and without a fuss that it wasn’t even a problem. Will definitely come back again, and recommend to friends.

Not sure I like the added service charge without an opt out option before paying by card without an embarrassing situation occurring.. Next time I’ll pay cash and argue tip.

This is a busy restaurant, staff very efficient and friendly. Quality of food excellent and prices not to bad. Service charge is too high and should not be add to the bill before payment. The customer should be given the choice.

I found the food excellent, we had the set three courses. I have dined here before upstairs and loved it, unfortunately on this occasion we were seated downstairs in the middle and I found it chaotic and noisy, the staff seemed highly strung and the noise of staff knocking out the coffee grinds from the machine was ridiculous, who designed the servery to be in the main entrance along the wall? Lesson learned upstairs next time

I have always enjoyed visiting Cote, Exeter but on the last couple of occasions the wait between our order being taken and the arrival has been too long. Since the addition of the extra covers I do wonder if the kitchen cannot cope with the numbers any longer. The noise level is very noisy so much so that we could not hear what anyone was saying on our table. Apart from that the food was good.

Crowded and noisy - not pleasant. Also overpriced and food lacks vegetables. We thought that our bill was high enough so left before dessert. Would not return.

Always a most enjoyable experience to dine at Cote. The food is excellent and the atmosphere almost "parisienne". It almost makes us want to sell up in Lincolnshire and settle down in Exeter!

A pre-theatre early dinner off the less expensive menu. Good food. Good service. Good value. I wonder why we keep coming back? The Exeter Cote is consistently better than when we eat at the Cotes elsewhere.

We are frequent visitors to Cote. Food is always good but service can sometimes be slow if, as usually, the restaurant is very busy. This, however was a quiet night so quick service and they gave us the table we had asked for when we booked. The staff are always very pleasant.

Having eaten regularly in other Cote restaurants (Dorchester being our nearest), I felt that the staff were perhaps not quite as welcoming in Exeter, but perhaps working in extremely hot conditions could in part explain this. Although they did not appear to be overly busy, food was slower to arrive than usual. Again, this could be due to what must be almost unbearable conditions in the kitchen. We shall try again on a cooler day!

Food was very good and quite good value for money but restaurant was so noisy we had to shout to each other and we were glad to get out. Something should be done to absorb the sound.

Had same dish 2 weeks ago and it was fab. This time the salad nicoise had no green beans, only two small bits of over cooked potato, shed loads of yellow and red peppers (strange) and just 2 olives. On complaining they took it away and just added the beans. All very disappointing. My husband’s minute steak was fine

Very poor and inconsiderate customer seating,The restaurant area on first floor was completley empty at 1700 when I arrived, allowing me to eat and enjoy my visit,lo and behold, halfway through my meal two guest were sat next to me on the bench seating, who immediately started chatting away about there daily woes,at this point the room was still void of other customers,no doubt these guests thought it strange as well. This spoilt my evening and without taking dessert & coffee paid up and left. This has happened to me in,reverse,at an earlier evening. Will not be returning.

The food id say was atleast a 5 but unfortunatley the service wasnt great. The waitress was lovely but was so quiet we could hardly hear what she said, after we finished our desserts we waited 20 minutes to get our bill. Not only me and my partner but i spotted a few tables trying to get the attention of waitresses who all walked with their eyes to the ground. The restaurant was clearly having some issues with their card readers but we wanted to pay cash and their was an issue with our bill having 2 drinks on that shouldnt of been there so that took longer to sort. Overall the food is lovely but i think the staff could be a lot more attentive than what they are.

Good friendly Service and excellent food. The restaurant was busy with a lively feel - very popular in the heart of Exeter. We had fish washed down with an excellent Cote D'or Whit Wine
