We visited today for my boyfriends birthday and as always they never failed to deliver! I ate from the early bird set menu and no one was disappointed, quick service, fantastic food and great atmosphere. We will back back again for sure.

We had a superb lunch on 9th January at Cotè Exeter. We highly recommend the restaurant 👏🤗 The staff are very friendly and does a fantastic job 👍 and the food is absolutely delicious. We had langustine tails 🍤 as a starter (we could eat that every day 🤗) and a lovely steak and fries 🥩 🍟 as our main course YUM YUM 😋 We will be back soon 🤗

Usual excellent service but cuterie board some what worn (query hygienic? ) and potatoes with belly pork were a bit dried up, this however, did not deter from lovely meals

One of our favourite restaurants in Exeter. Great menu changes and the service is carried out by experienced friendy staff. Also a good wine selection which is a pleasent change.

No actually I didn’t. This is the first time in all the years we have been going that the service was awful , 45 mins before being asked what we wanted!! No water brought to the table , and food run out

Usually love Le Cote as a coeliac it is a safe place to eat with lots of GF choices. We were eating at 4pm New Year’s Eve so maybe not a good time but the moules were stringy and many closed up, my chicken was dry. We requested a table upstairs but they’d closed it for preparation for the evening and downstairs was cold and draughty every time the door opened.

All together a lovely time and good food, great location in Exeter. Negatives were the air con was blowing right at my seat - like sitting in a draft - and my crème caramel was still a little frozen in the centre - still yummy though!

Another great meal at Cote Exeter. Staff always very friendly. Amazed at how busy it was! Looking forward to finding another excuse for returning there again soon!

Food was great as was the service although the waiters seemed a bit stressed (not enough staff?) As is usual, all of the menu was not available but there was enough choice. For New Years Day lunch it was fine.

Don't be put off by the fairly dark small downstairs room upstairs is much larger and lighter with great views to the front of Exeter Cathedral. 3 of us lunched there mid week. It was very busy (and rather noisy) and it looked like they could have done with more staff. Service was understandably a little slow. The food however was the usual totally reliable consistent cote standard. great chicken, tasty minute steak, good frites etc. We have eaten in Cotes all over the country and they provide consistently good quality food for reasonable prices. Their 2 courses for £11.95 is hard to beat. Whenever we eat out we usually find ourselves judging the meal and value against Cote. It is rare that we conclude that a meal is both better tasting and better value than Cote

Excellent food and atmosphere. Very good service at a reasonable price. It always seems busy and yet the food arrives quickly and is well presented and tasty, The menu changes regularly to reflect the seasons.

Always nice, greens on the chicken wasn’t as fresh as usual, but everything else was good 👍 Kids loved their food too, which is always a bonus.

We love the atmosphere at Cote - it's like a little bit of Paris in Exeter! I had the seabass with roasted fennel and it was delicious and excellent value. There is a good choice of wines to accompany your food. Great service as always. Well worth a visit.

It was my husbands surprise birthday party.Food was amazing the service as usual was amazing we always have family gatherings at this venue as we know it’s consistent every time we go there .Thanks for a great evening .

I’ve been to many Cote’s but this was the best I’ve experienced. The server whose name was Brett M and his colleague who appeared to be the floor Manager were both exceptional. Our main courses were running a little late but nothing that bad we were kept proactively informed and they even unexpectedly covered the cost of some drinks while they clearly pushed the kitchen to get our food out. This is the kind of service that is missing in so many places these days and I would like to say a big thanks to these team members at Cote Exeter as an example for all restaurants to aspire to.

We visited Cote Exeter for lunch on Boxing Day. We were pleased that the great value set menu was being offered and all chose 3 courses from that. The meal was served at a leisurely pace and as always was very well presented and tasty.

Beautifully located overlooking the cathedral, over three floors in a warm and welcoming restaurant. Food And Service consistently good. We really enjoyed the meal and champagne.

EXCELLENT FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE STAFF. GOOD ATMOSPHERE IN RESTAURANT. BOTH OUR MEALS WERE SUPERB AND SERVED QUICKLY. STAFF WERE SMILING AND RELAXED AND LOOKED HAPPY IN THEIR WORK, THEY WEREN SMARTLY DRESSED. THE PLACE WAS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A VERY GOOD EVENING.

Cote never lets us down. The food is lovely, very reasonably priced and the staff always friendly and helpful. On top of that, you get a lovely view of the cathedral - what's not to like!

Easy to book. A bistro restaurant with a lovely view of Exeter cathedral. There is a wide choice of Frenchbdishes on the menu at reasonable prices. Really good service. Lovely friendly professional staff. A good choice of wines too. I had the sea bass, it was gorgeous!! Highly recommend a visit soon.

What a truly wonderful christmassey late lunch we had! Great food, drink, service, ambience, view and staff!! The menu is authentically French and the food us delicious - I had the duck breast and thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful - a 'must visit' restaurant in the heart of Exeter overlooking the cathedral and the green.... 10 out of 10 again. Thank you everyone at Cote!!

Thoroughly enjoyable meal with friends. Very busy lunchtime, staff were polite and helpful.. Unfortunately one starters didnt arrive until after the most of the others had been eaten. Told was kitchens fault, sometimes these things cant be helped!

I am partly disabled, but was shown to my table with great courtesy and help with my bags, where I enjoyed a really tasty, well prepared, lunch with my friends. Centrally situated, and with views of Exeter Cathedral, plus the ambiance and great atmosphere in the room, it is, in my opinion the very best in the City. Service professional and friendly, and excellent choices on the menu.

Had the the set menu available up to 7pm....we really enjoyed the food which was hot, tasty and very well presented. This was our fifth visit to Cote and we will certainly be eating there again.

A beautiful location with the most stunning views over the Cathdral Yard. There is always a very lively and vibrant atmosphere as this is a restaurant that never disappoints. The food is good and the menus are varied and always extremely good value for money. This is a happy place!

Delicious as always, friendly staff and great menu. Tentative staff who are always willing to help. Very pleasurable sitting upstairs overlooking the cathedral in the sunshine.

We have visited Cotes in Exeter on numerous occasions and always found the service and food excellent . Staff always pleasant and attentive, would recommended to anyone.

Our visit was just like normal. We had the two course deal ( mon-Fri until 7pm ) Excellent service, food and overall a lovely time. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food, comfy environment though a little noisy at the start. We were introducing friends here so the pitch was a bit too high to start with though the food more than made up for it.

Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. We had a window seat up stairs over looking the Xmas market and cathedral. Food is excellent. My second time at the cote and will be going back.

Food was lovely shame about the service waiter was unfriendly , not helpful and virtually threw the receipt at us when we asked for service charge to be refused ! We were going to leave a seperate tip but because of this we didn't . Real shame as we were so looking forward to our visit and this was the first time my sister and niece have visited Cote .
