Absolutely brilliant attentive Service aa always with quality, tasty, beautifully presented food. We were a table of eight and all the food came out together and was delicious
Overall very good , waited quite a while for drinks and food .
Enjoyable lunch good food and service in a lovely environment
With great food, service and ambience and being located in such a beautiful spot; what is there not to like.
Good menu, the food service was friendly and quick. The wine list had a number of good reasonably priced choices yoo
Birthday lunch, and we were not disappointed . The food was served without a long wait even though it was very busy. It's nice that there is always a monthly special to give plenty of choice. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Looking forward to another visit.
I had the sea bass with fennel and it was delicious. My hubby had the steak frites which was perfectly cooked, tender and tasty. Highly recommend a visit! We live it there
This time I had the fixed price menu which is excellent value for money. The food was delicious and the staff give such good, friendly service. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere with wonderfully helpful staff - Not forgetting the excellent food
We where there for our anniversary and was so special. Again the food was amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant
4th time in as many weeks. Never have a bad meal or experience and food unbelievable
Overall quite disappointed with Côte. The service was slow and the waiters/waitresses seemed a bit all over the place. But the real downside was that the food was lukewarm/cold and pretty average tasting. However the atmosphere was good. Wouldn’t rush back.
We popped in for a light late lunch - we had the fixed price menu which is excellent value. We had cured pork & celeriac remoulade to start which was perfectly French tasting. We then had the steak frites which was delicious & tender. Another lovely experience with top service.
Lovely view, lovely menu, lovely food and lovely service! Enjoyed it
Good food as usual, but prices are creeping up which makes it less attractive.
Very poor service Food was excellent however the service was poor, felt like we were forgotten about
Always good value but maybe a change of menu sometimes as we always order the same things
The staff are so welcoming and the lighting over the cathedral is beautiful
Such an Amazing setting and food was delicious! Highly recomend a visit.
Arriving early we found our table already waiting for us and we soon had menus and a glass of wine whilst choosing our food. Our choices arrived promptly and we're well cooked and presented. The staff were patient as we dawdled over coffee.
We had a very good meal and we considered the set meal good value. The service was polite friendly and attentive. Sometimes when the place is full it can be a little noisy.
Good food, friendly helpful staff, great atmosphere- what’s not to like! Very good value for money with a good selection of dishes. We regularly meet friends here for lunch and hopefully will continue to do so.
Excellent service and delicious food. I took my partner to Cote Exeter for a Valentine's Day treat and had a great evening meal here. My partners steak was very good (a great comment since she cooks in a steakhouse) and my meal was excellent. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I'd emailed the restaurant 3 days prior and requested to sit near a window on the first floor so that the Exeter Cathedral made for a great backdrop. This was obliged and when coupled with the ambient atmosphere, all came together perfectly. This was my first experience at Cote and needless to say it is now my favourite restaurant in Exeter and I plan to re-visit soon.
Very enjoyable evening with family. A nicely situated restaurant opposite Exeter Cathedral, staff friendly & helpful, the ambience was great The food was well presented and was very good.
Another lovely visit to Cote in Exeter. Delicious, good value French dishes. I had the seabass with fennel and it was gorgeous. The house wines are high quality and easy on the pocket. Attentive, friendly staff. Thank you.
Always good for a lunchtime treat good service and food
We enjoyed a lovely meal here with friends. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was well cooked and presented. The restaurant was busy but the staff coped well. We will be back again!
Service was good but felt the actual steak I had was tough and grizzly. Would question the overall value for money. It was an ok experience one that we will return to one day but not as a priority
Consistently good food. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. This is a chain which doesn’t feel like a chain.
The staff were so friendly and helpful . From the moment we arrived we were greeted with smiling , happy positive staff who couldn’t do enough to help . Our service was polite and courteous without being overbearing . The food was so tasty and fresh . We had breakfast and it was delicious . After we had finished our food we sat and talked and never once did we feel rushed . The whole experience was very positive and we look forward to returning . Thank you to all the staff .
Quality food, service and atmosphere, never fails to please and always friendly, accommodating and focused on customer service. Never had a bad meal and the menu is full variety
Superb every time. Never had a bad meal and the staff always friendly and accommodating.
Even at 22:00 Côte was full of animated diners enjoying the ambience. The food was good, the complimentary cocktail well received and the Merlot was very acceptable. The staff played their part in making this another good experience at Côte Brasserie.
Prompt service, lovely table overlooking the cathedral. Steak nicely cooked. Offered 3 types of mustard. Only disappointment was that Cote’s legendary Creme Caramel was unavailable! Would recommend a visit.
Another great evening at Cote! We had a gorgeous blood orange cocktail which is a current February special - yum! The food was again delicious and the service, ambience and overall dining experience was faultless. Can't think of a better way to enjoy being able to get out after having been snowed in for 2 days. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been yet!
Lovely restaurant with great food on three floors. Just don't think you're going to have a quiet meal, as the layout and due to the fact its rather popular, means it can get quite noisy.
Yet again delicious food - I had the duck confit and it was served with a yummy sauce and herb potatoes. It was my birthday and I had a special treat from the Cote team... very thoughtful of them. Well worth a visit. We'll be going back soon!
I always love going to Cotes for breakfast, today was the first time that I went to Exeter branch. Unfortunately the staff were very loud in chatter amongst themselves at the work station and so noisy putting dishes and cutlery away, so much so that we could hardly hear eachother speak. The food was super as always, however no check back on done on the table, although staff were pleasant on this occasion they were a let down as for consideration for the customers go.
Excellent standard of food and service as has been the case with every visit. The 3 course early lunch and dinner menu is fantastic value.
We love Côte Exeter 👍 The Lunch/Early evening set menu is great. The staff are always friendly and very attentive. This time I was with a friend with a small baby and they did their very best giving us a nice table with a bit of privacy. They also helped carrying the buggy upstairs. Thank you 😊
We went for a celebratory meal and I was able to leave a request when booking. On arrival my partner was greeted with congratulation rom the maître d' and a glass of bubbly. We sat over looking Exeter Cathedral and enjoyed fantastic food cooked to perfection. The waiter knew the menu inside out, and was able to make recommendations of dishes and wine. Perfect evening and great value for money, will definitely return.
Much better service and meal compared to my last visit. Back to their impeccable selves. Especially good service from Natalia. Will go back again soon!
Love love love everything about this restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff friendly and efficient and it has a wonderful ambience. I come once a month with 4 friends and it’s a delight.
We always have a fun & entertaining evening at cote. the food & drink is very good & the service is even better & we love it
As always the food & wine was excellent. The service is 2nd to none & we always have a really nice time & feel very welcome
Great overall experience again. So easy to book online, great upstairs window table overlooking Cathedral Green, great service and food. Thank you once again. We’ll be back.
Lovely food in a lovely environment overlooking the stunning exeter cathedral (although try to avoid sight of the building site next door). We are regular visitors here because of the food and service
A firm favourite in Exeter . Always busy creating a good atmosphere although some members of our party found the noise a little too loud. Good food
Great venue for meeting friends and enjoying good food at reasonable prices. Sometimes though it seems ages before anyone takes our order. Today it took 3 attempts for the waitress to come over.
We had very Good service, the surroundings near the Cathedral were pleasant, and will be fantastic when building work finished. Varied menu and good value.
