As usual, very high standard and excellent service. Have now visited 10 restaurants and cannot find fault.

I have been a regular customer at Cote Exeter for several years now and have always had good service and great food, the atmosphere is full of buzz and vibrance, just love it. On a small negative point, sadly I have to say, when we selected the set menu of two dishes, we had to pay an extra £2.50 for Rib Eye Steak today - Tuesday 3rd December 2019. As part of a set menu, I just think that there shouldn't be any "extra charge" Apart form that, everything was just lovely. Thank you. Gary May ..

Not the best we have had. The downstairs room is not our favourite place to sit. The dark chocolate pot was outstanding as usual.

Lovely meal. Good service. Not too busy which was nice. Got table upstairs which we had asked for.

My Partner and I booked a week in advance as we wanted to be sure of having a lovely experience as we know it is busy at the weekend and your venue is one of our favourites, I expressly asked to be seated upstairs, however we were sat down immediately at the door, I queried this and was told it was busy!!! We had to endure constant cold and people encroaching on or space waiting to be seated, even knocking our cutlery on the floor. My partners meal was not up to your usual excellence and she had to leave most on her plate. The service was rushed which I understand to a certain extent but we felt we we're being hovered over and rushed. This was supposed to be a special night for us and as regular customers we felt let down. Sorry to have to write this as we've never had a problem but our evening wasn't up to standard. Alan Tozer.

I really enjoy visiting Cote because there is such a warm atmosphere and the staff is so friendly! On this occasion I eat upstairs, however, I much prefer the ambiance downstairs but everyone to their taste!

Excellent food, good value, friendly but efficient service. We had dinner and breakfast next morning and is one of our favourite places to go when in Exeter. I know I marked down review regarding noise levels but it was a Saturday night in what is probably the start of Christmas parties, fully booked and lots people having a great time so wouldn't let it put you off going.

The gluten free set menu was more expensive then the normal one. I can see why but the waiter had a gluten free flag in my friends cod dish and I had ordered sea bass but he said it was fine!!

Very nice staff, without being over attentive. Would have liked a bit more toast with the veggie breakfast without having to pay extra.

Impossible to fault. Fantastic starters (Crab & French Onion soup) and perfectly cooked Sea Bass fillets. Service perfect! Fantastic place.

We had a fantastic meal in Exeter tonight And will definitely be coming back in the future.

The waiter tried too hard the food was good but the noise level was off the scale. Our ears were literally ringing when we left the restaurant. There were many tables available on the top floor and the staff should have split everyone as they weren’t busy for the comfort of the eaters. I would not go back again purely because of the noise level

We have been to Cotes several times at Exeter and Farnham and have never been disappointed

4 of us enjoyed a meal from the Christmas menu with a free bottle of Crement. Nice food and excellent service from very professional staff. The meal was well paced. But this is a large, busy restaurant, with tables very close together. There were no large parties in but it was, nevertheless, very noisy. That and having a table adjacent to the main walkway with busy waiters rushing back and forth meant this wasn’t a very relaxing experience. Finally, it would be nice to have had a lager choice of cheaper wines on the menu. The discretionary 12.5% service charge effectively ratchets up the cost of already quite expensive wines.

Food was amazing, service was great. Can’t fault anything definitely coming again!

Use Cote Exeter a lot . I had our first ever incredibly disappointing meal .Service not good and potato Anna served stone cold and uncooked went back still not browned just put in a microwave to heat up . All portions of chips cold and under cooked

We enjoyed it as always. The food was great and it is always fun, if a bit noisy and crowded. Our initial service was slow but improved immediately we put in our order. The service was friendly and helpful.

Staff not attentive enough. Too much time talking to each other. Duck breast was overcooked and grey.

I had a lovely lunch with my daughter and 3 year old granddaughter. The staff were lovely, service excellent and the food was really good.

Our thanks to Sam for looking after us so well.A lovely personality and very helpful. We were disappointed in how long we had to wait to be seated, when we had already booked a table. We were stood in a long queue that was outside the door. People were pushing through because they had booked tables and there was a lot of agitation. A shame, as the staff work so hard but it needs someone extra to welcome and seat us and different queues for unbooked and booked tables. We understand that this a very busy time of year. Good reason to employ extra staff.

Excellent service from Samuel, the Christmas menu with the drinks was brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would recommend you restaurant to anyone. Not our first visit and not the last! Thank you. Seasons greetings!
