The food was amazing. We went on Christmas Eve and it was extremely busy… The service was good, the atmosphere was good and I would highly recommend it. We will be going back…

We had to send one steak back for further cooking as it was too raw and tough. This was very disappointing as one had recently enjoyed an excellent meal from the Christmas menu.

Quite enjoyed our visit, service slow and food not piping hot which was disappointing

As usual a wonderful meal, pleasant and helpful staff, and as always with Exeter a never to be forgotten view overlooking the cathedral and the green.

We have just been in for a xmas eve lunch as always a lovely meal and service and wine can't fault it well done 6 out of 6 from us thank you merry xmas to you all

Excellent as ever - the food, the staff, the setting & atmosphere. One of our favourite places to eat in Exeter.

We like Cote but we are used to visiting in the week and choosing from the fixed price menu. So our Saturday lunch was an expensive experience and with service added to the bill and not left to our discretion (we always tip) we won't be visiting again at weekends.

Mum and I enjoyed our festive lunch pre Christmas madness and no cooking Our waitress lulu Lula ... blonde lovely lady we see her often forever professional attentive and so friendly Claudio the manager amazingly thoughtful and professional the staff make a huge difference. Always put first choice of eatery in exeter. The food great. Mum had fish pie and langoustines tails. All yummy I had the same starter and the Toulouse sausage which was v tasty. We arrived for the lunchtime service. We were shown to our table, which was beautifully positioned by the window overlooking the cathedral. The service was first class, as was the food. Good value for money. Would definitely go again. Thank you.

The meal and staff were great but unfortunatley one of the party had the mussels and was ill during the night, and can only think of it being the food served at Cote that made her unwell. the rest of the party were fine, but no one else has the mussels

My crevette salad followed by scallops & black pudding was exceptional. My husband had his favourite Roquefort salad with steak frites which was fantastic as usual.The staff are efficient & so welcoming it is like dining among friends. A joy to visit Exeter Cote.

Very busy that night but staff were attentive and food was not delayed

We were a party of 6 that took our booked table at a time (1645hrs) when the restaurant was absolutely packed mainly with choristers taking part in a concert in the Cathedral. We were astonished that in spite of this, we were served very quickly with very good humour by staff who could not have been nicer, with an excellent choice of meals at great value. We would have no hesitation in recommending Cote Exeter to anyone and everyone.

The best vegetarian cooked breakfast, especially the sausage and perfect poached eggs: delicious!

Amazing food and front of house staff were incredible - shame the chef didn't listen to his staff as he forgot one main course which blighted our whole experience. This meal didn't come out until everyone else had finished.

Cotes is my favourite restaurant for in all the time I have been going there I have never had a bad meal .Service is always outstanding

We arrived early and had to await our table to be prepared but once we were all seated we were able to enjoy excellent food. The creme caramel was 10 out of 10!!! Service was not too bad given the busy restaurant all full of other choir members! Overall good thank you

Very busy session - food was excellent We were located next to a very noisy group on arrival which made the experience slightly less enjoyable Considering how extremely busy the session was the staff coped really well but I would have had a pudding if we had had more time. The toilet queue and the wait to pay was rather long especially as the card machine broke down. That said Cote is still one of my favourite restaurants - will come back soon

Staff were fantastic on last Friday before Christmas. Couldn’t have been more efficient and obliging. Happy and accommodating demeanour from every member of staff. Food was excellent and service very prompt. Prices very good. That’s a great review.

We often eat here and expect to wait a relatively long time to order as well as for our meal. However, today was exceptionally good regarding these aspects. A fab time. Very good service. Thank you. Best in Exeter.

Always good. Very busy. It was the week before Christmas but didn't impact on standards. It's our restaurant of choice in Exeter and on the subject of choice the menu and wine list provide lots of options including seasonal specialities. Great French formula.

Good lunch. Bit noisy but buzzy atmosphere. Will certainly visit again.

Lovely food. Great service. Welcoming and hospitable. Really attentive to the children and so accommodating if the dairy allergy. Only negative is that Côte need to get rid of the paper towels in the bathrooms and replace with hand dryers. Not in keeping with being environmentally friendly.

Excellent experience would recommend to friends and family. Plan to return soon

A spontaneous lunch with my dad - I was recognised and welcomed by Karl the restaurant manager who gave us a great personal service. Rounded off with some delicious food as per usual.
