Staff nice and friendly, good food from the lunch menu. Good value for money

As ever, Cote Exeter gave us a night to remember. Sheer excellence on every level. Thank you!

Excellent service and exceptionally good food as always. Some thoughts regarding menu changes: if an item is unavailable from a special menu that should be mentioned at the time of arrival/seating OR a substitution should be made available from another menu. Also if a particular vegetable is not available but on menu this should also be made known to the customer. Fortunatley in both instances the staff sorted our issue immediately, but a little early communication would have saved any bother for both parties

As always with Cote the standard was very high with high quality food and excellent service. A good range of wines on offer and the complimentary birthday Kir Royale was much appreciated. Just one small thought- in true French style, how about serving some bread with the meal?

Lunch for family birthday. Excellent food & service as usual. We know we can always rely on having a great time when we visit.

As always a lovely meal - great atmosphere, a little noisy last night, but super to hear people enjoying themselves. As someone with coeliac disease, Cote is my 'go to' restaurant, thoroughly reliable gluten free food, and although the staff were busy they were attentive and provided a good service

Excellent meal and service, will definitely return for another meal.

As usual, we loved our lunch. We normally go for the set menu. It’s such good value for money and so delicious 😋 Can’t wait for next time 😊

Fantastic quality of found. Easy to forget that this is a chain. Great service My only criticism would be the noise level. You have to talk very loudly to be heard. Some sound absorbing boards on the ceiling would help hugely.

Felt slightly rushed through courses. Food okay - fillet steak undercooked and cold!!!

Great food and service. The restaurant was particularly busy the night I visited and the noise level was high. Otherwise all good. The calamari was particularly delicious.

First time eating at Cote, Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food and service. We didn’t have to wait for food and was perfect time between starters and main, will definitely be going back again soon

We had the Plat du jour menu of Sardines followed by Chicken Dijonnaise which were really excellent value for money. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience

Meals were fantastic as usual but VERY disappointed that, for the second time, I was unable to book on line as a message came back saying there was an error which would be looked into but that doesn't help when you want to take advantage of any offers..,today we could not have the alchohol free cocktail ! As I say this has happened to me twice now

My friend and I meet for lunch in Exeter monthly and always eat at Cote. Except for one occasion (which was addressed brilliantly by the manager), we always enjoy the food, especially the delicious Creme Caramel!

Lovely January special Lamb dish. A great way to spend a couple of hours on New Year's Day catching up with friends over delicious food and good wine. Faultless service as always 10/10

An excellent venue for a celebratory a 70th birthday. On arrival our table was ready for our party of ten. We were served by pleasant and attentive staff. The pace of the food service was just right, allowing us to chat and take photos and enjoy the occasion.

Lovely food, efficient and friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere . The food was bought promptly.

All good and satisfied, very friendly staff, but one tip is always make a reservation for your table since they are always so full and even if you walk-in seeing empty table, they won't allow walk-ins!

Excellent service and imaginative menu additions. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Only negative point I can think of was that we were in a corner table which was quite small and we felt a little cramped. Otherwise the meal was very good as was the service. We will certainly visit the restaurant again.

We enjoyed our lunch as we always do with good atmosphere and staff attentive however the table we were allocated was right against the computer so staff often standing right up against our table. We will visit again but will not accept table 41 Had we have realised the inconvenience we would have asked to move but we were eating main course by the time the problem was realised.

Great but had to send chicken back as it was overcooked and dry

Attention to serving promptly suffers between staffing shift patterns. and noise levels can be very intrsive

Tuesday lunchtime in January and it was really busy and very noisy. Thankfully service was not badly affected and my food was hot. I did find everything a little salty though.

Very friendly reception by Paul Jones who went on take our order and serve us ....... excellent!!! Our meal was lovely and although we found the 12percent tip a bit high , 10 percent would have done , we were very pleased overall

The setting is delightful and table presentation excellent. The food was very disappointing . My walnut and mushroom dish was very hot and tasteless . My husband also did not enjoy his food.

We enjoyed a great late breakfast, perfectly cooked and accompanied by excellent coffees and fruit juice. The service was faultless as well.

Very good though disappointed the lamb cutlets had sold out.

The restaurant was very busy but it didn't affect the service. All staff are very polite and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our food choices. Overall an excellent dining experience.

Excellent lunch as ever. It's always a bit noisy when the place is busy - can't be helped, but we had to wait ages for a drink on arrival.

Wasn’t told that the steak was covered in pepper, 3 people from the party didn’t eat it and when complained, was offered anything, just said sorry !!!! Nice otherwise but terrible steak and service

Thank you so much for a wonderful meal. You even offered our son’s lactose-intolerant friend a fruit salad, off the menu, as part of your early evening menu. My husband thought the puy lentils with roasted vegetables were spectacular. I loved my chicken dish, and your French Meteor alcohol-free beer was really good. What a good deal your early evening menu is! You gave us our favourite table upstairs by the window with amazing cathedral view. Our son and his friend were bowled over by it. We’ll be back!
