Usual reliable fare and good service on a busy Friday lunchtime. Great view of the cathedral and its precincts. Only drawbacks - upstairs can get very noisy and has access issues for those who find stairs a problem - especially as the loos are up on the second floor.
A wonderful experience with delicious food. Never disappointed. Took my friend for her first visit and it won't be her last! Thank you very much. Looking forward to my next visit.
MY FRIEND AND I ENJOYED OUR VISIT VERY MUCH. THE MAIN COURSE AND SWEET WERE VERY TASTY. CRUMBLE COULD BE ADDED TO THE SWEET MENU. NOT INCLUDING THE LOYALY DRINK IN THE LUNCH MENU WAS A BIT CHURLISH HENCE ONE STAR MISSING
Very friendly staff who were also attentive. Food was very very tasty and fresh, cooked to perfection. Good ambience and the seating plan was cosy !
Nice food but very slow service. Disappointed by lack of attentiveness.
Wonderful food , served by attentive staff and all in a timely manner .. you couldn’t ask for more !
Fabulous evening! Mid week dinner with the negroni offer. Everything was delicious. Staff were friendly and wonderfully professional. We tried the steak tartare & pissaladière to start and the poulet roti & moules frites as mains all washed down with the ever faithful lagarde rosè. Highly recommend!
Very good service. Attentative but not intrusive. Friendly and not pretentious. The food was very tasty and I'd certainly recommend eating here. Will be returning.
My wife and I are celebrating our wedding aniversary. We throughly enjoyed our excellent luchtime meal. The so called free bottle of wine was very enjoyable. The waiter couldn't have been more attentive and made the experience more pleasurable. Thank you Côte for being so professional as always.
Easy booking procedure - delicious food and very efficient and friendly staff who acknowledged one of our party whose birthday was on that day. A wonderful, relaxed and enjoyable visit.
The food can be a little inconsistent and the cocktails , usually Kir Royale are sometimes not served that cold when they should be . Still a good place to honing exeter.
Good food and helpful staff. We had a very enjoyable Mother's Day dinner and the whole family of two adults and two children left happy. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful lunch, as always. I have never had a bad experience here. Good value for money and good quality food. Quick and efficient service. Thank you very much.
Lovely Mother’s Day brunch and lunch. Great service and always a lovely view over the cathedral .. always a family favourite . We will be back again very soon .
Good food for a good price. Staff as always friendly and nothing to much trouble for them
Welcoming staff and lovely food, ate from the prestige menu which was reasonably priced for ore theatre times. Would recommend this for an early evening bite
Lovely food, helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Very convenient for the cathedral too. Recommend the mirabelle plum tart and of corse the steak frites. Thank you.
My favourite place for lunch or dinner. I love everything about Côte, the main thing is that it seems like being in France but I believe the menus are more imaginative and varied than anything I have ever had in France. It’s always good tasty food and I enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. I am a very loyal fan.
We all enjoyed the food and the service was excellent.
Family brunch and couldn’t fault the food or service we received, really great value and staff were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return
Lovely meal. Service was quick. Quite loud when your trying to have a conversation
we LOVE Cote Brasserie Exeter! it is like being in France. The food is superb, the staff charming, the atmosphere heavenly. We love it. Thank you.
Had a brilliant Birthday celebration food and staff first class as usual. Thank you all at Cote
Cote, Exeter. Enjoyed the meal but restaurant was very busy and very noisy. This was on the middle floor with about 50 to 60 people in there, the top and ground floors were much quieter though fairly full. We couldn't have a reasonable conversation. We are frequent diners at Cote and usually enjoy our experience. Hope there is some way of improving the acoustics on that floor. Otherwise, food delicious as usual. Martin Hayward
The Food was amazing and the service was great, I would definitely recommend to a friend and I'm definitely coming here again, thank you everyone tonight
Excellent service and food choices. Very good value for money. A little manic and noisey but good atmosphere. Had many meals in Cote across the country and you can always guarantee that the quality will always be the same where ever you go.
The service, food, presentation and ambiance excellent, as always. The complimentary April cocktail "French 75" was delicious (and very pretty). We particularly enjoyed the Char-grilled Poulet Breton and the Roast Seabass fillet. The seabass was served with tender braised fennel in a champagne beurre blanc with chives and tomato. Very good indeed. Thank you again.
Me and my partner always enjoy coming back here and especially like the fougasse and the my partner is a big fan of the duck breast
Thank you so much for making my celebration meal so special, it really made my day. We will definately be very back soon. The food was great.
We really enjoyed the wonderful lunch we had today. Our friend who joined us thoroughly enjoyed hers too. No doubt we will visit again very soon. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciated good good and excellent service! The upstairs is rather noisy though. Nevertheless it did not bother us.too much.
Matt was exceptional this evening as was all other waiters. Great service
Excellent customer service from start to finish . Waiting staff not intrusive and very professional . Meals were hot and very tasty . Could not fault anything .
We have been to Côte Exeter a few times before and we’re looking forward to another evening there. However, we had a bit of a mixed experience. The positives are, good food and service, and great a view of the Cathedral. But unfortunately there were a couple of negatives, it was so cramped, one of our group had to constantly move his chair to allow the waiting staff and other diners to get through and it was extremely noisy, so much so that we had to talk loudly to be heard above everybody else. I appreciate you need to maximise the space you’ve got, but sacrificing a couple of tables would make a huge difference.
Great atmosphere and great food and great service. Perfect place for a mum’s reunion lunch and Cote Exeter never lets us down. Thank you Cote 😊
Service very slow, had to ask for first course dishes to be removed . Restaurant was not busy, sat down stairs and the waiters did not have any interest in servicing the few customers that were present.
Beautiful cooked and presented food. We had a free bottle of wine which was lovely, not only because it was free; it was a very smooth wine. Enjoyed the experience very much. Have been many times to Cote and would visit again.
Excellent menu and delicious food. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
Booked online for first time. Got a table where I wanted. The Waitress (Blonde haired) was excellent and I shall continue to come back. Thanks. Michael.
We come up fairly often from Plymouth and always eat at your restaurant, we normally stay downstairs but we tried up but found it very noisy, so I think down in future, it we be nice when the cabins have gone.
The service was very good and very fast. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing, especially recommend the chocolate fondue for dessert! Thank you.
Lovely meal with attentive staff. Shame there was no beetroot and mackeral salad. And then no CREME CARAMEL!, which is probably one of my top reasons for visiting Cote haha. A nice evening even so.
Always good value. Would hope for a bit more change in the menu, but always enjoy what’s on offer. Never come away unhappy, you must be doing something right.
UUNice venue, food not so good. Why do they insist on opening the doors when they want you out despite just serving coffee
Good food, attentive service and great value. Good cocktail offer. Always wort a visit.
A very relaxed special evening, just two of us eating from the a la carte menu, the service and food was impeccable as usual for Cote.
Very high standard both for food and service. Very enjoyable experience. What I love most about Cote is that it is always reliable. Staffs are so good at being attentive, professional and personable but never too much. Thank you.
Lovely lunch with friend made special by the excellent food quality, friendly staff and pricing.
Another delicious meal with refreshing rhubarb martinis to get us in the mood for seasonal specialities. The salmon, Cornish new potatoes and asparagus followed by a very creamy creme caramel were excellent. The generous glass of well-chilled champagne was a perfect complement to the food. We will return!
As usual, great food, excellent service and very good value for money. Looking forward to our next visit to Cote, we use them all over the country and have never been other than pleased.
Delicious food, good service. Very nice settting. Good atmosphere. Was quite busy when we went so loud at times but that’s the only negative I have.
