Sunny day, outdoor table, 50 yards from the Cathedral excellent friendly staff and a wonderful meal. Can’t find a bad thing to say about it!

Had a really nice lunch, with delightful staff, and we were able to put all the awfulness of the last eight months behind us.

We had a lovely meal celebrating an Anniversary. Everyone made us welcome in these rather strange times. Well done ... we’ll be back again soon.

We always enjoy coming to Exeter Cote. The staff are very welcoming and professional and the food is always good.

We all thought the food was excellent as was the service throughout our meal.

The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and really comfortable to dine in. The waitress we had was really friendly and she tended to my partner and I every need. The food was to die for it tasted incredible. We slept so well with full tummy’s when we got home. Will definitely recommend 🥰

Well done Exeter. We had a very enjoyable lunch today. Staff, food and attention to everybody's wellbeing was outstanding - it was good to be back.

An excellent visit. Although expensive, we enjoyed a French style meal with vegetables. Service was friendly but relaxed and the food was beautifully cooked. We sat downstairs which was a little chilly with the door open but it did not detract from our enjoyment. Social-distancing was seriously observed and, although it was Monday, the restaurant was clearly doing well.

Excellent meal and very attentive but discreet service. The social distancing measures were excellent and we felt safe and relaxed. The views out over the cathedral and beyond were lovely too.

Côte is a sure value when it comes to food. Great choices in their menus and welcoming staff. The Exeter branch didn't fail to impress.

The food is lovely but you don’t get much for your money as all sides are an additional extra so if you want any green veg be prepared to pay and what happened to the side of carrots!?!? But staff were lovely and service was quick and the view from the tables of the cathedral is always a bonus. Great to have a big gluten free option and the food was delicious. Bring back the carrots!

Had a lovely late afternoon dinner for my birthday with my mum and sister..booked online. Service and food were very good. Staff are pleasant and professional. A warm atmosphere in a lovely setting by the cathedral. Will be visiting again for sure!

Food and service were excellent. The waiters were very friendly and polite, we really enjoyed the meal. Delicious lamb, followed by chocolate fondant. However, I was really concerned about the number of diners. Too many people crammed in and tables didn’t appear to have been reduced to allow for social distancing

Really tasty meal in a lovely setting. Staff couldn’t do enough to help . Our main course had already been started in the kitchen when we asked for it to be held off for another 20 mins and the manger went sprinting off to stop it so that we could enjoy our evening a bit longer . Waitress equally helpful Manger also helped us with our wine and poured us a small sample to taste . Would thoroughly recommend.

Staff were so lovely and welcoming! Food was amazing although my boyfriend asked his steak to be medium rare and it came out blue, however they recooked it and it came out lovely! Great service:)

This was our first visit to the Exeter branch and it was delightful! Staff were very professional, attentive without being in your face and the food was as consistently good as I remember from a visit to Cote in London. Crab mayonnaise, parfait, goats cheese starters and steak frites, fillet, grilled poulet mains were faultlessly prepared and totally delicious. Plenty of hand sanitisers and a bright, clean restaurant. Applause from the Tierney family!

Absolutely outstanding experience. The food was beautiful and so reasonably priced for the quality. The staff could not have been kinder to us and we were not the easiest party as we had a two year old and a baby with us. Fabulous food, fabulous service, fabulous setting. Needless to say we will return soon. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable evening.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal this evening, lovely atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff, our waitress went out of her way to make my daughter a cocktail which was very much appreciated, food was delicious, we’ll be back soon.

Cote in Exeter can always be relied upon. Food quality is consistently good. The staff are always very efficient & the atmosphere is great. A very busy restaurant at 2.30 on a Saturday afternoon is always a good sign! One of our favourites!

Tables not wiped down thoroughly when we sat down. Sticky stuff all along the edge. Your distancing policy doesn’t seem to exist. Many Tables and diners were less than 2m. The restaurant seemed to be operating pre covid! Staff were ok, as was the meal. But not a re-assuring experience! We won’t be back for a while.....

This was our first restaurant meal since lockdown was imposed, which meant we were a little nervous. However, as soon as we arrived, we realised everything was taken care of for our safety. It’s almost an afterthought to say the food was delicious - we will go again very soon!

The food and service was good as always! I felt social distancing was not good as seated by the door. A shame as when I visited last week it felt more spacious
