Booking for 6. 4 people had Mushroom brioche to start sauce was cold plates were hot. Explained and sent it back 2nd attempt plates were cold sauce warm but far less amount. Main course 4 people had butternut squash risotto which was stodgy and unappetising. Most of the food was left. Having eaten here a number of times we were very disappointed. Waiter went out of his way to apologise and offered to knock 3 meals and coffees off which was kind but we won’t be returning unless we can be assured the quality of the food has improved. Have eaten at Cote Cobham twice in last 2 weeks and had great meals and service.
Good food as ever. The waiter gave us the bottle of tap water as we sat down saying it was 'complimentary' suggesting that it was a free gift from Cote despite the fact that any restaurant has to provide tap water gratis
We asked at least 10 times for bread during our first course, which didn't arrive until we finished. One main course 'filet steak' was served cold and a further Sirloin steak was overcooked. To make matters worse the lighting in the restaurant was faulty during our meal.......lovely ambience !
Friendly, helpful staff as always. Standard set menu less appealing choices than usual - perhaps because there is now a 'prestige' set menu . Pissaladiete delicious
We have been to many Cotes but this is our favourite. As usual the service was efficient and friendly. I had the conflict of duck - excellent and my wife the wallet salad - her favourite here. We appreciated and enjoyed the complimentary cocktail! Regards John Edwards
Great evening, food and service. Will most definitely be back!
Great as always - we always enjoy dining at Cote. Quality of food, wine and service always good and the value is excellent for what you get
As always, friendly staff and all ours meals were great. Cote remains one of the best value neighbourhood restaurants around, despite lots of competition locally.
The food was good, the service was good. We have been to a few Cote resturants and have always been happy with them. It's good that the whole chain seems to provide the same good servioce and value.
Have visited this restaurant on several occasions and have always had efficient friendly service and excellent food, and this occasion was equally as good. Would be good to see some new dishes on main menu but seasonal lamb dish was superb!
The service was faultless from start to finish... We were greeted with complementary gin cocktails, which were absolutely beautiful! The food was hearty and delicious... You just can’t go wrong with Cote from my experiences. Our waiter made sure everyone was looked after well. He did everything he could to ensure we had a lovely experience :)
Great breakfast as usual at Cote in Esher High Street. Formule is very good value for money including a full English breakfast with coffee, juice and toast as well very good value

The online booking was easy and able to get a table at the time required. Excellent service, food good well cooked and nicely presented even though restaurant very busy. I would certainly recommend coming here especially for families.

Great breakfast as usual at Cote in Esher High Street. Formule is very good value for money including a full English breakfast with coffee, juice and toast as well very good indeed
table ready when we arrived. Pleasant, attentive and helpful staff. Made fully aware of at the special menus and drinks, great food served promptly. No pushing to buy extras.
As ever Cote Esher came up to my expectations. Service was excellent and the food fresh and well presented. The staff at Cote Esher are so friendly and welcoming it’s a joy to go to.
Food looked good, but generally lacked seasoning and was expensive for what it was. I dislike the practice of adding 12.5% "voluntary service charge". It makes it awkward for the diner as it implies the service was below average.
Myself and 3 friends had a very enjoyable evening. we all got our complimentary gin & tonics as per the offer Staff were very attentive and the food was good We will be back
As always, good food, good service, and nice ambience. This is my favourite restaurant in the area and go back frequently. Would recommend to anyone.
Menu was attractive and food well presented. One minor issue was promptly dealt with by staff, who were friendly and attentive.Overall an enjoyable visit, and will return again.
Always enjoy the food at cotes, highly recommend the lamb it was very tasty and service was great. Good atmosphere, very welcoming to my family especially my 4yr old child.
Found staff very friendly at same time delivering a good service. Also varied menu and good value for money. Would be happy to recommend to friends
Love this restaurant! The food was amazing as per usual but steak could of done with being cooked a little better and was a bit chewy
Excellent food and ambience. Staff polite even though they were understaffed and coped well and were apologetic when things were a little slower than anticipated
Big shout out for Cote Esher !! Arrived for my birthday dinner..no gas in the restaurant ... mgr paid for a taxi for us to,cobham cote.. where a glass of Kir royale awaited us...we had a great evening. Turned a disaster into a real win in terms of customer service. Thank you !
As ever Cote a ronseal restaurant. Does what it says on the tin. Very busy pm service slow but food consistent and good value. Perfect venue for catching up with friends
Very pleasant surroundings , food excellent , service very good , decent value for money , a good experience , prior to going racing at Sandown Park .
Have been there many times and always enjoy the food staff are always pleasant Good deals if you go before 7pm and even better if you have a special offer
Great service and good food. Can’t complain. The steaks were ok, starters much better. Would go again, it’s basically a better version of Cafe Rouge
Everything excellent except for seating could be more comfortable. Service which accompanied food whiuch was of a high standard was its equal. An enjoyable evening.
Staff always first class. Polite, helpful and welcoming. Menu suitable for most tastes. Food is always well presented and tasty. Nothing too fancy.A good choice of wine.
The meal was delicious but the place was very noisy even though it was a 6.45 booking. The staff were excellent and helpful at all times.
Really delicious meal. Lovely atmosphere and a perfect temperature with the doors all open. Staff always polite and professional. I don't eat desserts but would love a square of dark chocolate with my coffee - any chance next time?
I return again and again and am looked after with friendliness and professionalism by lovely Lindsey and everyone in the restaurant. Well done all! Ann
I go here a lot & always enjoy, Esher is the best one I’ve been to. Nice ambience, good service & good food - good value for money. Marked slightly lower on this occasion only because it was quite noisy - it’s a busy road & of course you want the bi-folding doors open in the hot weather, however at 6-7pm that does make it noisy with the heavy traffic. Also I ordered the chicken, walnut & avocado salad.....no avocado 😐 otherwise - highly recommended.
Great food and service - this is one of our favourite spots for lunch and dinner. Mussels in white wine were perfect for supper on a warm summer’s evening.
Always good food and good service . Good variety of courses and drinks and nice gin and tonic new to menu for the summer - lovely !
My husband booked the Windsor Cote (followed by “The Dresser” at the Theatre Royal) for my birthday on 24 July. We had an ideal table outside the restaurant and, while we enjoyed 3 delicious courses, we watched the wildlife and various boats on the River Thames (which was less than a metre away from us). The meal was delicious and incredible value for money; the service was superb and the play was wonderful! Rob and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the whole evening!
Very busy on a Friday lunchtime the service was very good and the food menus excellent. The cocktails we ordered were first class a very enjoyable meal.
Very poor service.Regular customer at Cote,Esher but think the service has deteriorated recently. They were busy but the young staff seemed poorly supervised.Be a while before returning.
What is it with Cote? So much inconsistency between the different restaurants. Fortunately this one is consistently very good even if we do have to travel a few miles. The branch nearest to us (although more recently opened) has always been "not so good" and so we gave up on it and returned to Esher.
Very pleasant evening - service is attentive but not intrusive. We tried a mix of a la Carte and fixed price menu and ever one was happy with their choices which included melon and ham, mushrooms, salad & pork belly. The standard at Cote is Always reliable.
Restaurant was very busy when I arrived. Had reserved and was quickly shown to a table waiting for friends then ignored until I caught someone's attention. When my friends arrived we were served promptly and our food was good. There was an evening event on at Sandown Park and the restaurant was badly understaffed.
It was very busy due to the Racing in Esher and it took so long we missed the first half of the meet. Food was good when it finally arrived
The service as always was good. The food from the a la carte menu was also excellent and represents value for money. The latter is the reason for us being regular customers. Only negative was the free cocktail.. Too much ice.
We always have a wonderful welcome from the team at Cotè Esher where a change of table is never a problem. We did have a new waiter this time, clearly finding his feet somewhat yet he was pleasant and always gave us service with a smile. The food was great as always and their new “extra set menu” was a hit with our group of three.
We generally continue to dine at Côte when in Esher but one or two things often spoil the occasion. This time the Heritage Tomato Salad priced at £4.50, which was supposed to include both shallots and black olives, contained neither. We were given a full refund but would have been happier if the dish had been served as advertised in the first place. Many customers fail to complain but we feel that in normal circumstances you would rather hear up front rather than having other customers disappointed in future.
On a planned visit to Esher so prebooked a table. This Cote is in a good location with outdoor seating. My table had pavement views to watch the world go by. Excellent evening menu with equally good service.
