Great menu, delicious food, friendly and professional staff, good value, terrific restaurant. This place never fails to deliver for us and we like it very much.

An excellent lunch today. My wife’s lamb was cooked (medium) to perfection and the Creme Caramel was exceptional. We will be back....soon. John

The staff are always welcoming and try to give us the table we want. The food is good quality and well cooked and presented. However, sometimes the vegetables are too al dente! We visit most weeks as we live in Edinburgh. We recommend Cote to friends too.

Food was lovely, but the environment was awful. So dimly lit we couldn't see, such loud music we couldn’t hear, we did mention it to our waiter, couldn't hear each other, so not a great night for a family meal out ☹️ Dissapointed

Yet again our meals were excellent! The restaurant was very quiet on Sunday early evening. Enjoyed the free gin and tonics - March offer. Will be planning another visit soon!

Very good experience in Côte Brasserie. Service was excellent. Turned up early for our booking because of the weather and it was no problem at all. Wasn’t rushed although place was very busy.

Excellent service from the moment I arrived until l left. The staff were amazing and the food great. I was given a gluten free menu without asking( I had said I was coeliac when I booked). A lovely night out.

Food was excellent, first waiter was lovely but waiter who served the wine, dessert and coffees made a sarcastic remark about the wine choice. I asked him to remove the service charge then he tried to put the full amount including service on the bill. Now I am home I notice I have been charged for the complimentary Negronis - very poor!

Delicious food, delightful environment at the upstairs tables with our window table having a good street view. Best of all was the standard of service. I found the staff very attentive and happy to leave us talk for several hours.

I had a lovely time in Cote tables in front a bit close to gether but minor quibble. The staff were lovely . very friendly and meal was promptly served . Food was so nice . I had tomatoes as a starter which was just perfect. I can recommend the haddock . In fact best to just go and try .

We were booked for an early meal so took advantage of the set price menu which runs until 7pm. The choices were perfectly acceptable. I booked online and added that my friend was a veggie person who also had a cheese allergy. The service was attentive and the manager had noted the dietary requirements so that when we ordered he stood by the waiter to make sure that what was being ordered would not include any cheese products. This was very reassuring. All in all I could not fault our experience.

Very nice food and ambience. Later on became somewhat noisy with larger groups. Would have been better to go on a week night rather than weekend.

Good service from very pleasant staff and very good food

Lovely dining experience here last night. We were out for a celebratory meal and the staff could not have been more helpful. I arrived earlier in the day with a present and a balloon and asked if this could be put out on the table for our arrival - not only was this done beautifully but they table we were sat on was lovely, a very spacious booth for just the two of us. Now to the food! We opted for the sharing variation of garlic bread and it was beautiful - freshly made bread infused with garlic with crumbs of sea salt. For mains I opted for the steak frites and my friend opted for risotto - both delicious and two clean plates at the end. Chocolate fondant for dessert, warm and gooey, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Our experience could not have been better, staff were lovely and just the right level of attentive. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

Overall our evening was fairly average for an Edinburgh dining experience. Better than some, but below others. Service was quick and efficient and seating appropriate. Staff were helpful. Our first courses (mussels and warm Roquefort salad) were insufficiently warm. The mussels in particular were barely lukewarm. Mains were better. Hot and tasty. I don't agree with automatically adding a service charge to the bill. At any level, but 12.5% was clearly too high in the circumstances, so I reduced it to 10%. It's not the money, it's the principle. Total cost was good. We will include this restaurant as an occasional and convenient place to eat, but not a favourite.

My friends & I come to Cote often & it never disappoints. The food & staff are always lovely. I took a friend today that has never been to Cote and she was delighted with everything & will be back as well

A rather mediocre experience - Sardines dry and overcooked, Thyme sauce with chicken breast -excessive thyme made it not very pleasant so that it could not be used to counteract the dry chicken. Coffee weak. Service very good. Very disappointing after last time's delicious chicken dish

Very tasty meal early evening at Côte. We have never been disappointed when eating here. Cocktail, two courses, glass of wine and coffee - served by attentive, friendly staff - what more could you want?!

Lovely dinner - early evening and we're offered the set menu straightaway as well as a la carte. Could have chosen several options - both went for excellent French onion soup, fish dish and mousse/ice cream desserts. Attentive friendly staff, spacious calm setting. Have had similar experience at a London cote. Highly recommended for a great dinner!!

I had lunch at Cote with my publisher, who loves French food; she really rated Cote's cuisine. Having worked in France for seven years, I would agree that the cuisine and the atmosphere were pretty authentic. We particularly liked the French onion soup and the Sea Bass. We did not try the wine list, but only because it was a hot day. Instead we drank delicious cranberry juice. The coffee was good, too. There was a bit of a wait between starters and main course,, but we were so enjoying our conversation that we did not mind. In general the staff are charming and friendly.

We really enjoyed our meal at Cote Brasserie Edinburgh this evening. Delicious, classic food matched perfectly with attentive service and a wonderful atmosphere. Thanks so much!

Thank you for a lovely evening. It was my birthday and could not have had a better experience. The staff were so helpful and the food amazing. My son, who was in our party, is himself a wonderful chef and very criticall, was delighted with the complete experience.and said he will be returning soon.
