Great food(spinach & mushroom crepe delicious) Staff friendly left us to chat until we were ready to order didn't feel rushed at all even after we had finished eating. Great atmosphere lovely table in the window. Been a few times now and can't recommend enough.

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere but do feel the 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge which is automatically added to the bill needs to be removed. I am always happy to pay for good service but I want to decide how much to pay.

The food was good value and cooked and presented well. The staff on the other hand couldn’t really be bothered. Not a smile between the 3 of them for customers, but happy chatting amongst themselves. After our main, was offered the menu for dessert, no one came to take our order, so we gave up and spent the next 15 mins trying to get someone’s attention, regardless of saying “excuse me” and waving to get the bill.

We had two meals at the restaurant in Edinburgh recently. Different bookings. One was dinner for four on Friday 12th April which was excellent and enjoyed by all. The second meal was Sunday breakfast, different party, for six. Again really well enjoyed by everyone. Service in both cases was excellent. The service charge of 12.5% is added automatically which was earned in both cases, however I genuinely feel that service charges should be left to the dining party to determine. However , overall I was certainly pleased with my two visits.

Our first visit, very impressed, excellent service and excellent food and wine. So many restaurants to chose from and we would definitely chose this one again.

My friend and I both really enjoyed our lunch and the service was friendly would recommend and will return !

A 'go to' favourite, Cote Edinburgh is in a brilliant location, has a lovely Parisian cafe feel, great and attentive service and superb food every time!

Relaxed Friday lunch. Flavoursome food from a set menu with a variety of choice and very reasonably priced, in cosy yet spacious restaurant with friendly service. Would recommend a visit.

Lovely meal quick service and friendly staff in a charming building and central location. I’m sure we will be back next time we visit Edinburgh!

Gluten free menu was so yummy - spoilt for choice! Food was very tasty and service was great. Nice atmosphere in restaurant too. Will be back!

Seven of us had lunch which we all enjoyed. Sitting next to the service station there was a lot of clanging from empty wine bottles being dropped into a bin with no regard to diners. Some customers were very loud making hearing very difficult at times.

Your staff were particularly welcoming and took time to chat. Our food was served just as we requested.

My calamari could have been a little softer, my wife's mashed potato part of her sea bass and fennel was an unattractive colour. But otherwise all good and we really enjoyed our visit. We will return.

Lovely staff. Great atmosphere. Felt the portion size could be slightly bigger. Great choice of gluten free meals.

We are regular diners at the Cote restaurant in West Bridgford and while visiting family in Edinburgh decided to take some friends for dinner last Friday. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was completely consistent with the very high standards we are used to. Our friends were very impressed, and will no doubt visit again. Well done to everyone.

Lovely family evening spent in Cote. Initially thought we were out of the a5mosphere of the restaurant as in a room at the back but we soon created our own. A couple of slips with the food but the Manager rectified them immediately without question. Would definitely return next ime in Edinburgh.

Food very good at a reasonable price, service could have been a bit quicker but it was by no means slow. We prefer to eat reasonably fast so I wouldn't call it a fault.

Service very slow for drinks. A/c very cold down my back. Did ask for it to be turned down but think it was made colder.

We enjoyed a birthday lunch at Cote Brasserie. The food, service and atmosphere were very good.

We have been to few Cote Brasseries but this restaurant is one of our favourite. Really friendly and welcoming staff and the food was cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend and will visit again the next time we are in Edinburgh.

On arrival we were shown to a table next to the coffee/drinks servery . We asked to have a different table as sitting in that area is not a relaxing experience. We decided to leave as there was no other table available. One of the staff offered another table right beside the door,on the coldest night in Edinburgh or the choice to wait around in the chance that a table of 6 might not turn up and we could therefore have a table in another area . What a disappointment and not what we expect or indeed have ever expected in any of the Cote restaurants we have visited .

This was the fourth time in two years, and I enjoyed this the least. Service wasn't good, they add 12.5 percent service charge by default even though service was not the best. Food is a bit limited by good. Supposed ly it's a French restaurant, but no bread. It took 15 mins to cook some, they has run out this was 8pm in the evening.

Excellent ladies lunch today. Very well looked after by the staff. We all ate off the lunch special menu & everyone was delighted with the food. my goats cheese starter was delicious. the sea bream to follow was perfectly cooked with interesting accompaniments which married well with the fish. We all had the creme caramel to finish which was absolutely stunning. Very busy, best to book.

Welcoming and attentive staff. Rhubarb cocktail was delicious.Food was superb with generous portions. Special mention for the crab starter and lamb loin chops...could not have been bettered.We were never hurried...All in all a fabulous experience and we will certainly be back. Well done Cote.

Great experience friendly staff and the food and drink were well presented and prepared as requested - delight to request a medium rare steak and have it cooked that way a little gem.

This retaraunt Provided an excellent atmosphere for valentines , the meal was delicious and the staff very helpful and friendly , I would highly recommend cote

Service was excellent, only complaint was the cherries with the duck. It was felt by my wife that they were out of flavour with the rest of the dish.

Second visit this month and everything as good as usual. Restaurant fully booked but service and food excellent. I use the restaurant regularly and will continue to do so.

Four of us dined at Cote Brasserie after being blown away by the Les Miserables performance in the afternoon. The welcome, service and food was of the highest standard and we could not fault anything. Not our first visit and this was just as good as previous visits. It is really appreciated when a restaurant delivers high quality consistently as Cote Brasserie does. Will certainly be back and are happy to recommend to others.

Our servers and hostess went above and beyond to make this a special night for us. We were treated impeccably well and the food was delicious. We will absolutely be back!

Myself and my wife had a lovely lunch. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly: this was our first visit but won’t be the last.

TBH I thought being a chain restaurant it would be fairly average but I'm delighted to say I was wrong. The staff are courteous without being overbearing and even although on two visits there was a mistake with the order, there was an immediate (and sincere) apology and the dish was provided free. More importantly the food has been consistently excellent so well done. It's definitely one of my go to options when I really need to rely on a good dining experience. Well done to the restaurant manager in Edinburgh.

Lovely place! All fine till the dessert menus arrived then staff disappeared and no one came for our order. We therefore decided not to have anything more.

We booked for the ‘pre theatre’ menu which is excellent value. We were made very welcome. Fast and friendly service. Tasty well cooked food. Busy, was Saturday evening so booking essential.

An excellent meal with free cocktails thrown in - great service and restaurant busy hopefully Cote have got the right model and don't start inflating prices and cutting quality like Jamies's

As usual staff very helpful and attentive. In addition our complimentary Kir Royale via Saga was an added touch much appreciated. Food was well presented and beautifully cooked and my whitebait took me back to Mediterranean and was a ray of sunshine on a cold day

Just had another wonderful meal at Cote Edinburgh for a birthday. It was our third time and we weren’t disappointed. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient.

Great food and lovely atmosphere... service a little slow at times but overall a great experience will definitely be back. Wine also very good and reasonably priced
