As always,lovely friendly service and very good quality food .We ate brunch here and found the formule menu very good value .Everything was very freshly cooked and nicely presented.The coffee was very good too . I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this restaurant.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal at cote and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend the steaks which were cooked exactly as we asked.

Had a really nice meal. Surroundings were really pleasant and staff helpful and attentive without being invasive. From my experience Cote represents good and consistent quality at reasonable prices.

Menu has a good selection available, service good, reasonable priced. good atmosphere. We were sitting very near a speaker, music quite loud staff kindly lowered volume.

Awesome I use Core all the time because great food and service- if you check out early dinner there are some great deals - never been disappointed

Had a lovely weekday lunch from the set menu. Greeted by very nice maitre'd and were seated at a booth in the middle section of the restaurant, whole place is deceptively roomy. We both ended up having the sea bass followed by the apple crumble and the food was delicious, service great, would definitely go back.

My friend and I had an excellent lunch. The food was tasty and the staff who attended us were friendly and helpful. It is a pleasure to have a meal at Cote.

For the first time in all of the years that we have been using Cote, (we lived in Guildford Surrey where we first encountered Cote) my husband had to complain about the cod goujons as they were extremely dry. The staff took our complaint to the chef who agreed and the dish was taken off of the bill. The situation was very well handled by all staff concerned.

We went to Cote last Sunday. We chose to go there mainly because we noticed that it had a gluten-free menu, given that my friend is celiac. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner. There was a good choice of meals on the menu, the food was great, the stuff was polite and the environment of the restaurant was warm and cosy. We will revisit it.

Excellent Service. Good Food. The service was well paced and the cost was very reasonable. We really enjoyed the experience and would definitely return when back in Edinburgh.

Excellent lunch today - could only manage 2 courses so sadly had no room for dessert!! Next time hopefully!! Service was superb too. A great eating experience - highly recommended.

The food was of a very high standard and the service was indulgent. The weather was not very good but it was a delight to enter the restaurant to get some warmth.

As usual, the food was excellent, the service was courteous and attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience was just right. Côte Edinburgh is the perfect place for a mid-week treat.

Friendly and efficient staff. Tasty food, well cooked and presented. Fresh tasting I ingredients, piping hot. Probably the best branch of Cote we have visited so far.

Very easy to book, excellent staff and lovely food. Only comment would be that the carrots on the Children’s menu were full carrots and this was somewhat off putting to one of the smaller members of our party!

Good service. Food tasty. Disappointed that 12 1/2 per cent automatically added to bill for tip without informing us of this. Almost tipped twice. It would be helpful if we are informed of this separately.

A warm welcome, good food, nice ambience, great service and well priced. Always a varied menu selection making each visit unique, but consistently good. Highly recommend.

Beouf bourgignon was sensational . Steak juicy. Wine fine. Staff very attentive. Loved the night, twenty five words way too much suggest you reduce if you want comments 👍

Superb as usual. Not been for a while and totally lived up to previous standards. Salad nicoise was as good as ever and rump of lamb was delicious.

Excellent in every way. Good food, good service and comfortable surroundings all for a very reasonable price. The breakfast here is highly recommended. We'll be back.

First time upstairs where the good service, and excellent innovative cooking can be enjoyed away from the front door draughts. Still super value and Franco Scottish presentation.

First visit to Cote Edinburgh , lovely Restaurant, the day we went was a very cold one, but was a lovely welcome to walk into a warm place, food and service superb. Will definitely return.

The food was good, and for the price it was very good. The service acceptable. The only down side was the temperature - it was very hot through out the restaurant.

Booked a table for two for 8.45 pm. It took 1 hour 25 minutes to get our main course! Since we had to leave by 10.20 to get to the Edinburgh Street Party on Hogmanay, we had to bolt our food and didn’t have time for our dessert! Ladies toilet needed re-stocking (No toilet paper in one cubicle and no hand towels so returned to my table with wet hands) and the lock on the door didn’t work! So, all in all, we won’t be back!

We had the New Year menu - which was really enjoyable and very good value. The service was quick and efficient and the whole experience worked well.

Had Hogmanay dinner here with 3 friends, two of whom were visiting from England. We had a really lovely meal. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. The Christmas crackers were a very nice touch. I would thoroughly recommend Côte for a special celebration.

The duck was rather underdone but the seabass was delicious. As always the deserts were the highlight.

Great meal, the crab mayonaisse is a favourite and delicous again. Pork belly and duck mains were really good. Can't wait for the next visit.

Excellent dining experience. Steak frites perfectly cooked, as was the salmon, and there was something for everyone on the menu. The lighting and seating arrangements were also spot on. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous food Superb service Cote in Frederick Street, Edinburgh has become our Christmas Eve family catch up lunch, we will be back again next year, highly recommend this restaurant

Another fantastic meal only slightly marred by a less than attentive waiter who forgot to bring our wine and when it did come it was the wrong one. Other than that lovely food and a warm festive atmosphere had us there for a four hour lunch! Definitely be back and definitely recommend to friends and colleagues.

Although the meal was lovely the restaurant did not have the rib eye sharing dish available even though it was on the menu. Nice atmosphere though and would go again.

Lovely food, wine very good too. The waitress serving us was brilliant. Sadly can’t remember her name but her Dad is from Gibraltar - Côte should be delighted they have her as part of their team. Excellent interpersonal skills!

Excellent food (Breton Fish Stew highly recommended). Attentive staff and cosy atmosphere. Have eaten in Cote Brasseries in Manchester, London and Edinburgh. All have the same high standard.

As usual an excellent meal and service - I thought the wine a little over priced ( least expensive of the last catagory on the menu but still £32.00

I like Cote as I often eat alone, and the staff are very good to a single person. The food is always excellent with that little something different, the friends I have introduced to Cote agree with me.

Good food and friendly service. The menus are reasonably priced and changed regularly. We would recommend as we have never been disappointed when visiting Cote Brasserie.

Brilliant meal, excellent staff, couldn’t do enough. We’ve eaten at a few Cote restaurants and this certainly was the best. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Great meal today lovely starters of Onion Soup and Calamari, main courses of Rib eye steaks with a lovely bottle of Merlot. Nice ambiance with subdued lighting , nice attentive service .

Lovely meal and great service. Nice to have the choice of several menus and some specials. Good children’s menu with a nice variety of meals.

The food was very good, although could have been a few more varieties of fish in the fish parmentier. I would like to see side plate and butter knife when bread is served.
