This is not the first time that I have visited Cote in Edinburgh and it won’t be the last. I had a lovely leisurely birthday lunch with a friend. Great food and excellent service. Thank you.
We like French food and it was enjoyable today. My charcuterie was a good plateful. The main courses went down well. Service was somewhat slow but not a problem as we were chatting.
The restaurant has a warm ambience even when quiet (a cold, windy evening at the end of January) and offers a choice of seating areas from cafe style at the front to more intimate booths and a grand, bright dining area at the back. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The menu choice is extensive, including a gluten-free menu and is reasonably priced. A few items were unavailable but the sea bass option was delicious and perfectly prepared, as was the breton chicken with a choice of sauces. Recommend signing up for the rewards programme - we received a free bottle of wine on this occasion.
Good service & the food was as good as ever. They could have done with placing a sign on the front door though, to alert customers to the fact it was locked against the strong wind & so they had no need to push it & would be admitted by a member of staff.
Lovely cosy table, friendly and efficient staff and delicious, tasty food - excellent quality and very generous portions. Topped off by a good quality, free bottle of wine. And not over-priced. A very enjoyable evening all round. Have recommended Cote Brasserie Edinburgh to several friends.
Good food and great value as ever. Complimentary bottle of wine went down well too! Cosy atmosphere and attentive staff made for enjoyable early evening.
The restaurant has a lovely ambience, our food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!
Staff very welcoming and attentive. Food was very tasty, especially tbe lamb which my husband let me taste. The free bottle of wine was a bonus. We'll be back and next time I'll have the lamb.
Superb meal in cosy surroundings on a blustery evening in Edinburgh . Definitely going back as one of my favourites . Great location and easy to find.
I booked Cote for an early evening dinner with a couple of friends and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with a welcoming smile as we walked through the door and promptly shown to our table which was in a good position in the centre of the restaurant. Our order was taken quickly and courteously (but not rushed) and our meals were delivered soon after by a very pleasant and attentive waitress. Each of us had made different selections and all agreed that our food was excellent, with one of my friends commenting that his steak was perhaps the best he'd ever had. All round an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable experience - Thank you Cote Edinburgh - we will be back!
Lovely surroundings - good food - pleasant staff. Menu is varied with plenty choice. All round - very nice dining experience. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
Good food and service! The special January offer of a free bottle of wine went down very well and makes Cote a must on my list of places to lunch in Edinburgh.
Very enjoyable lunch experience, tasty food, drinkable wine, attentive service, appealing aesthetics, great price for 2 course lunch menu. Only negative for me is the 12.5 % added gratuity which of course is optional, however I prefer to make the choice not have it enforced.
Good food and ambience. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed a mid week supper at Cote Edinburgh in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Thanks
Had a very good visit to Cote on a cold wet Wednesday. Given it’s very competitive pricing the quality of the food and service was very high. Try the charcuterie boa4d starter, it is really good and suitable to share if you are looking for something lighter. The pork belly was excellent also. Good service and a very good experience all round.
As always we had an excellent meal. The staff are always friendly and efficient. They are very attentive without being overbearing. I have recommended Côte Brasserie to several people and hope they enjoy it as much as we and our friends do. Thank You
It was wonderful to receive such a warm and friendly welcome on arrival at Cote. We had a most enjoyable evening in a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and was excellent as was the service from all the staff.
Service, food and wine are excellent value for money. The decor and surrondings are a touch on the bland side but overall very attentive service with very good ingredients used, served fresh and hot. The wine is well priced for the quality wine that they have on offer and, the table water is provided free of charge.
Food piping hot, freshly prepared and delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Free bottle of wine which was very nice. No pressure to leave after eating which is one of the reasons why the restaurant being popular with "ladies who lunch"! Overall a very pleasant experience.
This is by far one of the best French restaurants in Edinburgh. Exquisite food, delightful surroundings and attentive staff. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.
Quick service by super friendly staff. Food is absolutely delicious...what more can one say...oh and reasonably priced too. We have been here before and will certainly be back again.
Received excellent and attentive service and had lovely table at window to street. Warm air heater at door kept us warm and comfortable on a cold January evening. Food was excellent especially the French Onion Soup which I have had before but doesn't disappoint. The lamb on the specials menu was rich and tasty - perfect for January.
Excellent service, excellent meal. Will be recommending to friends and family. Staff very observant but not obtrusive in any way. Good location when visiting Edinburgh.
Excellent food and attentive service. Good atmoshere. with a buzz of conversation. convenient situation near to bus atops and centre of town - will go again
Lovely food and great atmosphere. We love Cote and always have a great time, especially fond of the house champagne. Will be visiting again soon
Another great lunch, took advantage of the bottle of wine with the a la Carte menu, very good. I had sea bass and my husband had sea bream, excellent! Joshua took really good care of us, terrific staff, definitely recommend.
The meal was lovely and the staff and quality of service wasexcellent. We will definitely go again. We can recommend it to visitors to Edinburgh.
Another pleasant visit with good food and helpful staff. Cannot think of anything else to say so will keep on rambling until I have reached 25 !
Starters of crab and prawns were both tasty and nicely prepared. Mains of seafood parmentier and grilled chicken were also enjoyed, especially the seafood. Service was just a little haphazard, but not enough to be a problem, and we came away feeling very satisfied.
Lovely and attentive service. Thank you for the good and courteous attention. Enjoyed the daily special and complimentary bottle of wine in January was most welcome.
Great food, served suitably hot. Staff were attentive and helpful. Lots of space in this restaurant, and a good atmosphere. Would certainly return again when in Edinburgh.
As always, the service and food at our restaurant in Edinburgh was exceptional! In addition, I was given a bottle of wine with out lunch as a gesture for customer loyalty!
A lovely relaxed environment with great food and service. I have visited other Cote Brasseries before and this one didn’t disappoint. I will come back when I visit Edinburgh next.
My friend and I enjoyed our starter f onion soup we then had steaks his sirloin was o.k mine was ribble but I had to return it as it was so tough I asked for it to be med to well I eat rib eye steaks all the time but I don't think this was a ribeye, the waiter asked if I would like something else I chose the salmon but I couldn't eat it as it was too dry I then gave up we paid our bill and left I have been to cotes many times but this was a rubbish visit.regards.
An excellent choice for lunch in the centre of town. Charming, attentive staff; food really is a taste of France - delicious! The decor of the restaurant is both relaxing and elegant. Altogether lovely place!
Lovely meal and relaxed service, which is especially welcome on a weekend lunch. Great choice of dishes and food was delicious. Will be back for sure.
Great breakfast and service on a cold morning just what you need good value and relaxing atmosphere too handy city centre position best breakfast in town
The meal was lovely, the staff were attentive without constantly hanging round. The only downside was the draft from the door. All in all a good experience.
Great food, great service and great value for money. Enjoyed it tremendously and will definitely be back. Our 2nd visit there, both visits equally good.
Once again we had a very enjoyable lunch from the set menu. The staff were very attentive and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
A good value fixed price menu and friendly staff. The menus change regularly and we have visited many of the Cote restaurants throughout the country and we experience consistent food and service at each venue.
Had a lovely lunch yesterday at Côte Edinburgh. Good choices for each course and the ones I chose, the Cod Croquettes and the Sea Bass, were both excellent. Despite being very busy, the service was first class.
Quite a few thing were off the menu limiting choice. That was our main complaint. Apart from that the meal we eventually chose was fine.
Great food and service but no wifi or phone service due to the low ceiling. Not ideal I came out to 35 missed calls! Even their in house wifi did not connect
Booked online with no hassle. Friendly, helpful staff, great food. Try to get a table in the "front shop" as the back dining area can get very noisy! .
Cote in Edinburgh has quickly become a family favourite for us. Excellent food, great glutenfree menu choices, reasonably priced wine list and very attentive service every time.
Everything was lovely. Our food was excellent - 3 different choices in our table of 4 and all dishes were enjoyed by all. It was quite noisy but you were busy so after the music was turned down it was all 'chatter' which is nice. The only reason for not scoring a 6 was that we did have to wait quite a long time for our mains to come. Staff were fantastic.
I visited Cote Edinburgh with friends. All pleased with our dishes - good food, very well-cooked and presented. Service was very good and unobtrusive. There was no feeling of being rushed and was quite relaxed. A successful day out in attractive surroundings.
Lovely food comfortable surroundings and very pleasant and helpful staff I have visited Côte on many occasions in Edinburgh and Richmond and have always enjoyed my meal lovely varied menu and excellent value lunch and pre-theatre menu
Very good service and food of good quality. The setting is ideal , however our table was next to the front door and abit chilly with draught coming from the door, could do with blankets for the knees!!
