Côte Edinburgh

We come regularly for lunch and each time we are delighted with food, staff and drinks. We are never rushed -the staff are happy to let us chat away for hours. First class. Thank you.

Having had superb service at 5 other Cote restaurants, the Edinburgh branch was no different. We had booked just one day in advance and the table was there and waiting. A special mention for Karen who, as a recently joined waitress, was most helpful as was the rest of the staff. Well done! Geoff and Jenny

Very nice food which we all enjoyed. Our visitors were from Belgium so appreciated good food and service. Our waiter couldn't have been more attentive and pleasant. I recommend Cotes to many people

As always an excellent meal served by friendly and efficient staff. Cote has a very relaxed atmosphere and it is a lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends.

Everything we had there was excellent starting with the tartar and calamari the veal is highly recommend it was excellent and so was the creme brûlée and the August special dessert

Food was very good, service only 4 out of 5. I had moules, but there was no bowl with lemon water to clean fingers. When I asked for one, I was brought a bowl of water with ice ????

Great food, lovely service and nice atmosphere. My 7 yo daughter and I were made to feel very welcome early evening. Steak Frites every time!

Food good and service go up untill your main course served then down hill no one checks if everything ok or you need some more drinks water and getting your sweet order a literally had to say hullo in a loud voice to get attention from staff who were all a few feet away no eye contact from staff so you could make your needs known the staff get into groups with there back to cus all the time i would turn the computer and till round to face into restaurant might help andthen to pay £7.50 service charge is really pushing it still i like it here and will probably be back

Rating spoiled by the chain adding a discretionary 12.5 % service charge, which probably would not all get to staff. This may be the regime of chains , especially in London but not here thank you !! Adding it on to inflated wine prices is even worse. That said, the food and service was good. Good value .

Great service, lovely food and very friendly! We were shown three tables to choose from and they even gave us a free coffee as an apology because our first course took a little longer than expected. Will be back soon.

The food was delicious and attractively presented. The staff were friendly and attentive so the evening was very enjoyable. There is a good selection of main courses to choose from.

Service was excellent as always with pleasant staff. I did not like the reduced number of choices on the set menu and even the prestige menu was not as good as usual. This , of course may be down to ndividual taste.

Staff were pleasant and food was good. We did ask to move table as we sat next to work station where plates and cutlery were placed after tables cleared. Very noisy but not the staff's fault. Not happy about 'optional' service charge of 12.5% being added for a table of 2.

Very friendly staff and a wonderful reasonably priced menu.i use this chain when in London and am delighted we have a branch in Edinburgh We ended up having three courses and they were all delicious. We will be back!

Delicious food, good value, lovely staff just a shame the bill was wrong and we were overcharged for courses we didnt have but it was quickly remedied. Would highly recommend.

As usual plenty of choice on the extensive menu. Service was efficient and friendly with no long waits between courses, although coffee could have been quicker. Food was first class, as regular visitors we have yet to be disappointed by the quality. Only grumble was the high level of noise.

cote was very nice. staff are very good, menu good choice good selection of fish and steak dishes. service very good have no complaints at all, will come again, i recommend.

Food was excellent. Manager gave my wife flowers as it was her birthday, what a great touch. All the staff were really great. Had a great night and no pressure to give table back. Well done Cote Edinburgh

Must admit we are regulars at Cote, good food, well cooked a change of menu each month, friendly staff, nothing to complain about. Would recommend.

Nice cool setting for lunch today. This was my second visit. I opted for 2 courses from the July menu and my friend chose from the Prestige menu. Food was tasty and well presented

Good food and atmosphere. The set menu is very reasonable with wide range of dishes. Service last time was a bit cold at first but improved and reverted to usual high standard.

Always great standard, friendly staff and lovely food. It has been a great addition to Edinburgh and my handy standby. I also use one in London when there with a friend. Good value.

Food and service were excellent. However we had to request a change of seat as the area we were sitting was so cold from the air conditioning.

Lovely food, attentive staff who were extremely apologetic about an error with our order, and without prompting deducted cost of my friend’s meal. Nice surroundings. Looking forward to a return visit.

Nothing special. Quality of food good. Service could be sharper and attention to detail could be improved. One member of staff was friendly and very helpful but the rest of the team require customer service training and need to understand the importance of making customers feel valued and welcomed in the restaurant.

First time I have dined at Cote with three friends for my birthday celebrations. Lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Good choices on the set menus. Wine was very good too. No complaints and very good value with the set menus. I think we will be going back again.

Very easy to book reservation and then a truly wonderful evening - lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and fabulous food. Highly recommend anyone to try Cote Edinburgh.

Arrived 45 minutes early for our Thursday night booking but accommodated straight away. The service was excellent and the food served quickly. Quality very good for a chain.

Great food staff atmosphere all amazing love it location is perfect for all local transport desert is fab especilly creme caramel. I would defo recommend.

We all enjoyed our meal - chose from the smaller, cheaper menu. Having a round table for 5 friends made it easy to chat with everyone.

It was my cousin's first visit to a Cote restaurant. All the staff were very friendly, service was efficient and we both enjoyed our meal. It was the first time I'd chosen from the Prestige Menu and it was well worth the extra cash! The calamari was very tender, and my only criticism of it was it was an enormous portion for a starter! The pork belly was also very tender but I would have preferred the crackling to be crispier. My cousin said she would definitely go back.

Enjoyed our meal although the artichoke salad had very few artichokes. Restaurant was quieter than usual so not noisy which was good. I had been offered a reward of kir royals which was produced although they said you were not now doing rewards? It was charged on our bill but subsequently removed. Having used the restaurant frequently since it opened in Edinburgh I now find the web site confusing and as an elderly customer difficult to use

We had a very nice evening - such good service from the three gentlemen waiters. Great food - the vegetarian with us was deeply impressed to be offered his own menu. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Food excellent as usual it had to remind waiter that he had not brought the promised water. Missed Martin perhaps it was his day off. Extremely enjoyable.

As ever a fantastic meal! Because of holidays, sports events, etc it was pleasantly quiet until two noisy men arrived. Had we nor been about to leave we should have asked to be moved. People are so thoughtless!

Unfortunately this was the first time that the meal at Côte was a disappointment. We have been regular customers since it opened and it has been one of our favourite restaurants. Yesterday I had to send a steak back because it was tough, and then the second was even worse. Chocolate Fondant is usually delightful but it was cold. The second one was fine. Not the best eating experience unfortunately.

We were given the table I had requested, the service was first-class, fast, welcoming and friendly, our food arrived quickly and was delicious and nobody rushed our departure - all in all a very nice meal out.

The meal and service very good what let the excellent experience down was the warm water in the stone jars. No one wants to drink warm water even on a cold day and especially on a hot one. We had to ask for some ice to put into the glass.

We visited for my partners birthday and breakfast was fantastic! Service was quick and friendly and we have booked in again for tomorrow. Would defined recommend.
