Much bigger & much nicer than we expected. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Very helpful staff & the fact it was very busy is testament to how popular Cote Edinburgh is!

Visited again after day at theatre great way to round of the day. Food and service as ever spot on especially gluten free menu for wife plenty of choices

I booked Cote Brasserie for a birthday lunch in early January. More often than not restaurants are very quiet so soon after Christmas, but this wasn’t the case with Cote, so I was glad I had booked a table. There was a very nice selection of dishes from either a set or prestige set menu, both of which were good value for money. Everything we had was very nice. Service was friendly though could have been more efficient (we had ordered wine which, after a reminder, arrived with the main course). A very enjoyable lunch so we will definitely return.

Lovely food and good choice of menu . Staff were very helpful. I would definitely go again . I was given this as a recommendation and it was a good experience.

Good food, excellent service and good value but I still find the 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge an annoying London fashion brought to Edinburgh by the big London chains.

Excellent meal and service. The ambience was exactly as we expected and the food was, as usual, very bistro French and reminded us of our village in Provence

Another return to the consistently good cote. Staff always super attentive and food and drink options varied and of good quality. Only downside this trip was mussels were over cooked and leathery and a bit disappointed this was lent addressed at the bill given familiarity as diners

Fantastic food! I loved the French onion soup and the steak cut like butter. Delicious! I squeezed the apple crumble and ice-cream in and wobbled homer. Great value too!

There are three menus to choose from at lunchtime: a la carte, and two lunch menus (one, called, prestige, consists of selected items from the a la carte menu), so there's a good variety to choose from, and you can make sure you get the value you want. The food is excellent, and the service friendly and efficient.

We often visit Cote when in Edinburgh as we love the menu, and service and ambience are always good. Last night was no exception - the January special of hake with Savoy cabbage and mushrooms was particularly good, and the chocolate fondant was a special treat.

Cotes does not disappoint. Delicious set menus at lunch time and excellent value. Fabulous choice in the evening too. My only complaint is I love the duck with cherries, but it now comes with a veal jus, why?. As I don’t eat meat, I can no longer have this!.

lovely Hogmanay dinner. I didn't know there was an upstairs part of this restaurant. wine pairings were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the dessert wine

Restaurant manager was very rude and when we went in said he had no tables but then I managed to book online. Still when we left there were so many free tables. I am also 31 weeks pregnant and he left us standing up for quite a long time with no apology or offer of a seat whilst we waited.

Had the 2 course menu for £17.95. Quite expensive but it is in the centre of town. Would go back though as servings were good and tasted nice. I deducted a star for price and being seated too close to people.

Been 3 times and have found the menu flexible with good choice, friendly staff and reasonable value. One fiend is vegetarian and she found the pumpkin dish uninteresting.

The meal could not be faulted, I had been a good few times but had the company of another three people who hadn't been and they thought the same as me. The staff were so attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Good food. Good atmosphere. Good choices on menu. Cater for different dietary requirements. One negative is the 12.5% tip which for two people is more than standard.

Delicious food and a very interesting (and fairly priced) wine list. My husband is addicted to the anchovy tartiflette, and we also rate the steak tartare and cassoulet very highly. We'll be back!

Great food. I had the calamari and the 10oz Sirloin. It was cooked to perfection and came quickly. The wait staff were terrific, very accomodating and polite.

Visiting Edinburgh for the first time was great fun and finding a local Cote along the way was even better. Lovely, warm atmosphere and good service. Good value early dinner menu as well. Would recommend visiting.

This restaurant is great value for money with a wide variety of choice on their menus. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was friendly and the food was served hot.

Friendly service, busy and noisy space, staff overstretched and forgot to bring a second glass of wine, but subtracted cost to compensate, food mostly very good, veggie main a stolid patty with inadequate accompaniments, creme caramel blissful, cost reasonable.

As always in Cote Edinburgh.....super food. The staff are just charming. Very friendly and helpful. Very cold outside but nice and warm in the restaurant. Always such a delight.

We had a delicious dinner, salmon rilletes and calamari for starters and tenderloin of pork and Breton chicken. We took up the offer of 2 courses in set menu and a bottle of wine for two for £34. Fantastic value for money and the service as usual was exceptional. Definitely one of my top 3 restaurants in Edinburgh.
