Côte Edinburgh

Had a wonderful meal as usual. The fish dishes are so good.

It was a special meal as we were having a weekend break in Edinburgh to mark my 70th birthday. We were given a great table and were well looked after all evening. I let my coffee go stone cold because I was enjoying my dessert and port and it was replaced, a nice touch. All 8 of us had exactly what we wanted including the young ones and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

Food was good, very noisy at the ground floor asked to get moved and this was done.

An early supper with friends. Lovely waitress and nice table at the back so we could all hear ourselves chat. All enjoyed our meal except one guest not happy with lack of lamb in the lamb special November dish. However, this did spoil the evening and the manager deducted the cost of lamb from the bill as a gesture of goodwill which we appreciated.

We had another wonderful meal here, just as we expected. We have been here before and to the branch in Soho in London. The standard is always high. There is such a varied menu and the food was cooked beautifully. I had pork tenderloin and it’s so easy to overcook that but it was perfect. It’s great value too and the staff are lovely. I wish there was a Côte in Dundee.

Excellent food for a decent price. Has a good selection/range too. Service was perfect, no complaints. Perhaps the only negative is the automatic 12.5% service charge - seems a little steep for something that’s automatic. It is optional though. I still feel tipping shouldn’t be ‘forced upon’ in this way.

Great food,my sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and delicious. My wife is Coeliac and requires a Gluten/wheat free diet. She was delighted with the numerous choices of GF options and her chicken. Lovely setting and a very relaxing atmosphere. All in all, a very pleasant evening. Will definitely be back.

Always have a good meal at Cote but the food this time really wasn’t hot!! I felt it had been sitting somewhere waiting for service so the chicken and the potatoes were lukewarm

Always love the Cote restaurants and this is no exception. Lovely place, good service and food consistently good.

The food was lovely, but there were a couple of issues. We ordered olives and bread to have with our drinks before dinner, but then immediately starters were served and we would have liked more time to enjoy the olives and bread. My husband ordered the chocolate mousse and we both ordered coffee and calvados, which we had finished, but still no mousse. It appeared to be delivered by a delivery driver, but by then my husband after finishing coffee and calvados did not want dessert. It could have been a better experience.

My first time at Cote. Food was delicious, staff very attentive & friendly. Great choice on Menu and great value on the 2& 3 courses menu. My only complaint was we were seated at the back section of restaurant and it was a Sat. Lunchtime, found it very noisy, will certainly b back but would request a table middle to front of house.

We try to eat dinner here twice a month, once off the specials menu and once off the usual one. The food is always excellent and the service also. There is always a good atmosphere.

I’m generally happy with the food at Cote, but I have tried twice the one in Edinburg and I was disappointed. The waiter suggested our food was late ( more than half an hour) because we ordered a well done steak (if this make sense). There was no difference between medium and medium to well done steak. The steak was swimming in water from spinach. Overall, I cannot say it was a great experience.
