Excellent menu, featuring a wide choice of dishes, and also catering for those with small appetites, through the light mains selection. As expected on a Sunday evening in January, noise levels were not a problem. The service was efficient and friendly.

Booking was easy and efficient online. Staff courteous and helpful from moment of entering restaurant. Service was excellent and food of a high standard. Price good.

Lovely environment. Good food and friendly helpful service for myself and 5 friends celebrating my birthday. The onle sad thing was that they had sold out of the guinea fowl which I had been looking forward to having as my main course.

Service was slow and the french onion soup wasn’t to the usual standard but was ok. I have been many times before and this was the first time I’ve been disappointed. Not great as I had brought friends who hadn’t been before.

Great value lunchtime two or three course fixed price menu with small supplement for steak cooked to order. Tap water readily available and wide range of choices for each course.

Very warm welcome by member of staff and looked after us as he took us to our table. Explained clearly the different menu options. Service was very professional but relaxed. The dishes chosen by us were very much to our liking and, overall, a most enjoyable dining experience.

Food was lovely, scrambled eggs nicely cooked, tasty smoked salmon and a lovely big pot of tea. Nice friendly staff and was impressed we were asked if we wanted hot water for our pots of tea. There were seven of us for breakfast and everyone enjoyed.

As a party of six, we enjoyed a fine experience at Cote, as a mini reunion some 37 years post qualifying. Having booked, we were seated quickly at a round table which certainly facilitated talking with each other. Service was prompt, polite, cheerful and never intrusive and three courses and drinks all arrived in good time. We ate from the fixed menu and a selection of dishes enjoyed by us all, each plate looked very appetising on presentation and was completely eaten. Everyone was happy, we enjoyed our dinner and out catch up without any pressure to vacate. Well done Cote, thank you,

A lovely lunch, and the January offer of a bottle of wine with the a la carte menu made it particularly good value for money!

Food excellent, ambience very good, not rushed, waiter personable but forgetful

We had a delicious meal, which once ordered, came in a timely manner. The staff were sweet and helpful but there was only one waitress on for the whole service, which seemed incredibly unfair. We waited so long to be even offered a drink that I had to go and ask. That’s when we were told there were no staff. We had tried attracting attention but every staff member failed to notice us even when walking towards us and I was waving my arms!! Not great. We would, however, definitely come again.

Delicious meal served by efficient and friendly staff. We had the lunch menu which is served until 7p.m. and it's excellent value. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Another great lunch at Cote, Edinburgh. The staff, as usual, were very attentive and extremely accommodating in explaining the menu and ingredients. Service was swift with an appropriate break between courses, altogether very satisfying. Well done all, from front of house to table service and of course the kitchen a huge thank-you.

4 people in our party and everything was lovely apart from my duck which was a little tough but no problem replacing it with something else. Just one of these things but the staff were very helpful and couldn’t apologise enough and reduced the bill accordingly. Every other dish was really good and we all enjoyed it. Atmosphere and service was great and good value for money.

We had a lovely catch up with great food and service. The only negative was the acoustics making it difficult to hear as the restaurant was busy. (Perhaps more soft furnishings might help?)

Food was excellent, as per the restaurant. Only negative is staff spent too long chatting, both when waiting for our next course (30 minutes) and trying to pay the bill we waited a good (20 minutes). There was only 10/12 people in at lunchtime. But would still recommend
