As always a polite and pleasant welcome. We had gone for lunch and it has a calm and efficient atmosphere. Attentive staff. The food is good both in presentation and taste.

The first course was tasty, an autumn salad, with butternut squash and blue cheese. The second course was a mushroom risotto, it was passable but not fantastic.

The pre theatre meal is wonderful value. Three courses for £13.50. We had a lovely bottle of red wine which was very reasonably priced as well. The staff were very pleasant and attentive so all round a very nice evening was had by myself and my wife.

Not enough potato on fish pie. £8.80 (incl service charge) for a 250ml glass of fairly ordinary Cotes du Rhone is expensive = £26 a bottle.

Excellent food and service; very busy in the evening which provided a good atmosphere. Our only criticism was that they had no crème caramel on the menu and this is a favourite item

Food is solid and appropriately priced for the quality level. We had a problem with one meal which they quickly resolved without any issues. Would be happy to return.

Very good service. We had the early evening offer, which is very good value for money. There's a large choice too, not just one or two things on each course. The room was very comfortable and welcoming on a wet night. Finished with the very delicious chocolate pot.

Disappointed to be given a table upstairs where the atmosphere wasn’t as good. My husband had the chicken but said it was barely warm. I had the pork belly which was over cooked and smaller in size than when I have had it at other Côte restaurants We decided not to stay for dessert.

I apologies for the length of time I have taken to give this review, however, better late than never. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to leave to take a friend to the station and were told we could come back and have our desert and coffee. Absolutely lovely would recommend this Brasserie and food amazing. Thanks to all the staff.

Meal was excellent and service very efficient . The restaurant was particularly accommodating by giving us a quiet table as we had a young baby with us. Would definitely recommend Cotes to anyone.

Arrived early but it was no problem as table was ready and waiter happy to seat us. Starters were excellent, charcuterie board in particular was very nice. Most of our group had steaks for main course which were nice but they were all only barely warm when served rather than hot. No one had desert as after giving us the menu the waiter didn’t come back to our table to take the order for over 20 minutes so we gave up and just got the bill!

Food was really good but service was’nt as good as normal. There was a red wine recommended to go with the lamb shank. I got a Rosie wine instead, although it was the same name.

We had lovely food - from the 10th anniversary menu (all the favourites that no longer seem to be on the regular menu). It tasted very nice. Unfortunately, we were forgotten for some 30 minutes, until our waiter was found and reminded. However, to their great credit, the staff retrieved the situation with both speed and grace, so we ended up having a very pleasant meal.

Our visit to Cote, Edinburgh was again very good. The service was god, staff friendly and it was made clear that being gluten free was not a problem to them. We also met people from our past who also gave the restaurant the thumbs up.

As always, the menu choice, the quality of food and the atmosphere were excellent. Service, too. However, for the second time, the bill when it arrived was wrong and was charging, on this occasion £5.00 more than it should have been. Perhaps, there is a justifiable reason but it does make me think. How many others have not checked their bill and therefore, been wrongly charged. Still, the restaurant is a place Inwill return to.

The food was delicious, and the service is very attentive and helpful. The only failing was that there was no creme caramel which my friend had set her heart on (and we were not pre-advised of this).

The servers were friendly and competent. The presentation was well done and the spicing in the sauces was excellent. It was not very crowded early on Sunday evening. We will no doubt return and see if the evening is as good. Based on what we experienced I have already recommended it to a friend.

Nice place in a central location. Tasty reasonably priced food. Can recommend the crab starter, chicken with wild mushroom sauce and pain perdu dessert. Didn’t like the service charge that had automatically put on. Service was fine and we would have tipped but it should not be an automatic add on.

Food was excellent however the service on this visit was well below standard. We were overcharged and it took a further 15 minutes to correct the bill and pay. With hindsight we should have asked for the service charge to be removed. Disappointed customers on this occasion.

Food absolutely first class we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening our only comment would be our wine our waiter wasn't very knowledgeable..... Also we think he was quite new because he had to keep going to get answers to our questions... But a good night was had by all. May jack. Newhaven Edinburgh.

Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere watching the world go by from a window seat. Small problem in that we were only half way through our shared fougasse when main course arrived, would have liked a bit longer to eat starter.

Always an enjoyable visit to Cote and a delicious menu this month once again. My only slight negative comment about the Cote restaurants both Edinburgh and Glasgow is that some of the tables for two are a bit close together to afford privacy. I know it's the French way and maybe it's just that I like a bit more personal space. This small criticism would not prevent us from continuing to visit Cote on a regular basis to enjoy the wonderful food and impeccable service.
