Nice location. Staff polite and courteous. . Food excellent. Especially the sea bass and lamb special. Will recommend to friends and family when visiting here.

The restaurant is delightful, the food is excellent and not expensive and the staff are attentive. What more do you need. I have booked another visit.

Varied menu with regularly changing 'specials' means that every visit is different. Attentive staff with just the right level of communication look after every need without being intrusive. Reasonably priced food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere... What's not to like..?

I used the a la carte menu for the first time and was disappointed. The beaf bourginon was dry and there wasn't sufficient mashed potato.

First class meal with excellent service. Enjoyed being upstairs in the restaurant on Frederick Street as nice and quiet..Took friends there for their first visit to Cotes so both were very impressed. Am quite sure they will be returning some day

The Côte Brasserie is a chain, and while the atmosphere was pleasant enough, the overall experience was nothing special - the food, the wine were OK, but ultimately disappointing. Mostly the service was cordial but uninspired.

Excellent food. Very attentive staff. Excellent surroundings. Everything added up to a very enjoyable lunch. My friends were very impressed and we would all recommend it to others.

Have been here a few times never disapoints. Food and service very good. Also good selection of wines. The Retauraunt itself is very nice with a nice atmosphere . They have a wide range of menues early evening or lunch is very good value.

Lovely main course but frozen berry dessert was disappointing as white chocolate sauce not warm enough to melt the berries. Staff were helpful although service a little bit slow.

Very enjoyable lunch. Almost scored a 6 but my wife was disappointed that the Creme Caramel was unavailable. Otherwise fine and will certainly be back

Booking on line was easy and receiving a reminder e-mail asking to confirm attendance or otherwise was helpful. Food in restaurant was very good as was the ambience.

Great food and excellent service. WE were not hurried and were allowed to sit at our table for a couple of hours. The only negative is the noise in the back room. We asked to move and this was done swiftly.

Food good. Service excellent. Menu varied enough to suit most tastes. Ambience pleasant and proximity to town centre good. Waiters knew who had indeed what and bringing the food on a tray held by one waiter while another serves is classy.

Have been in evening a few times and had nice meals. Received email about breakfast offer so decided to give it a go. Both breakfasts were excellent (price included freshly squeezed orange juice and hot drink) and service was great.

Not much ambience. Food OK. This was our second visit, because we had a complimentary wine offer. We usually like Cote restaurants but this one is missing something.

The menu offered a good choice for each of the courses, the food was well cooked and all-in-all it was great value for money. Unfortunately, on the evening I was there Hurricane Ophelia was in town and keeping people at home, so the atmosphere in the restaurant was somewhat lacking. However, that did not spoil my enjoyment.

My friends and I visited Cote tonight for dinner. The food was grest, the place had a nice atmosphere, and the service was fantastic. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent service and delicious food. The great think was we were not rushed and were able to sit for as long as we wished over lunch.

Lovely meal apart from the lamb rump which was a little chewy but everything else was very good including the service. Don't agree with the service charge though.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh. I keep coming back because the food is always absolutely amazing, the service is very good and the atmosphere is lovely. Very consistent- I definitely recommend it!

We had great food and service in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were attentive but not pushy and the menus had a varied choice to suit all tastes.

We had a great time it was our 50th Wedding Ann. and that staff made it special with some flowers. Food was excellant as always

Great restaurant serving delicious high quality food and very attentive staff. We were a table of 5 and sat at the back of the restaurant and were served by Iain who was a great host.

The food was fantastic as was the service. Shame no pork belly left but will be back to try! Coffee was delicious :) Highly recommend.

AS USUAL FOOD EXCELLANT AND STAFF FRIENDLY.The Faernham restaurant has a lovely sitting out area and I miss that in Edinburgh but a good view of Edinburgh chaotic traffic

Nice layout with reasonable choices on menu at reasonable prices , friendly helpful staff . Not too busy at lunchtimes on a Sunday , will return

Everything was good apart from the fact we had to pour our own wine. If you’re going to charge 12.5% for service more attention needs to be paid especially during a busy Saturday. We paid out but I just wanted to make you more aware that it fell short on Saturday evening. Hope that helps.

Excellent food and service. However, I find the "discretionary"12.5% service charge rather annoying. In my view this is a London practice which I do not wish to see imported to Edinburgh. It seems that as more of the chains come North this will become standard practice thus denying the customer the opportunity to reward staff according to the level of service received.

Lovely evening and food was delicious and service very good. Staff were friendly and not over powering. Added bonus was a free bottle of wine - can’t complain about that!!

Staff were very helpful and polite, also, the food was very good as was the wine. Cote is good value for money. Would definitely visit again, in fact going for a xmas meal which I am looking forward to.

Excellent lunch, fabulous choice on Menu. A very high quality of ingredients used to create the dishes on offer. Very attentive and knowledgable staff serving. A pleasure as always to dine there.

A great time was had by all! Very good for Gluten free choices and apart from my friend's potatoes not being cooked properly but was quickly rectified with many apologies a lovely unhurried meal.

Very tasty, well presented food. There is a good variety of dishes on the a la carte menu. The service is efficient and friendly and the ambience is relaxed.

To be honest the meal was almost inedible and this may well be our last visit having eaten a number of times before . There has been no improvement so it looks llike goodbye.

Good location. Good value.. Very helpful staff. Two of us ate from the lunch menu and two from A La Carte. Mushroom and Spinach Crepes were lovely...did feel we needed some bread with them which we had to order as a side.

Great new restaurant in city centre. Second visit in a week and standard consistent and of a very high standard. Service exemplary. Only minus - get someone to fix that door! Sitting next to it is very draughty!!

The greeting, service and food was lovely as always. Busy spot, nice buzz and great food/menu. All diners were happy and we will all return.

As usual, the quality of food was excellent. We were not rushed by the very good staff, who were very welcoming. They moved us from a draughty tabletop a warmer situated one without a problem. Happy to continue eating at Cote, whether Edinburgh, or Chichester, where we have been before.

The ambience is great. The staff are excellent. The lamb was absolutely delicious. All in all it was a super lunch and reasonably priced. Thank you.
