Highly recommend, good food, excellent service and great atmosphere. 1st visit to Cote and ate off the set price menu which was excellent value. Will definitely be back.

Excellent service.Clearly trained staff who were attentive without being intrusive. Food from the more expensive lunch menu was very good and worth the little extra.

The entire experience was faultless from the friendly welcome and shown to a window table. A choice of flexible menus from Sunday brunch to 2/3 set lunch and a la carte with enticing sides to add to dishes. I had Breakfast with a Bloody mary, while my friends had the Set lunch. Reasonable wine list. Attentive service - all very leisurely. We shall definitely return.

Lovely restaurant in a central location in Edinburgh. This is a lovely French restaurant with a nice menu and a lot of interesting dishes. The staff were very helpful and attentive. They have a nice wine selection too with a range of prices. We will definitely come back here.

Normally good service was spoiled by officious manager informing us if we order flatbreads they are for sharing not starters. Our main course arrived long before we finished the bread! Charming lady made up for his bad manners. He requires a course in restaurant management.

This was our first visit and we were seated upstairs. On reflection we felt this was the optimum location for a relaxed set lunch. We were very impressed with the service.

Excellent choice and tasty well cooked food . Mussels came with a great sauce but no bread to help mop it up . A bit disappointing

Sevice and food excellent, but did not appreciate the gratuity added automatically to the bill, poor show! I realise that this is an optional payment, but as such it should be left that way and not a presumption on your part. It puts the customer in an awkward position, especially when in the company of friends, therefore we felt somewhat obliged to pay the bill as delivered rather than question and put the waitress in an awkward position. A good move on your part as I am sure many customers will do likewise. No other restaurant in Edinburgh has this practise, unless for tables of 6 or more. So, I am afraid because of this I unfortunately won't be returning to Cote at any time.

We booked for breakfast on Wednesday morning. Fantastic breakfast. The veggie breakfast is the best, and the veggie sausages are really well made. Great service as usual. We will be back

Great service and good food. Would recommend for a leisurely lunch close to the city centre. Front area of restaurant probably has more atmosphere and people watching possibilities than the back!

Lovely restaurant, great service, good food. Went to Cote in St Albans last weekend & raves about it so much I had to take my husband to the Edinburgh branch today.

Hello, we had a lovely meal on Friday 30th March. You have brought out a premier set menu and we ordered from this menu. There is another group of six ladies who I come with a lot (around once a month) and we usually order from the cheaper set menu. A few in this party always order the crumble for dessert so I was disappointed to see that it was now on the premier menu. Can this be changed or can we ask to order this item as part of the cheaper menu? Some of the other ladies visit the restaurant outwith our group visit as I did last week. Another of the group was there with different friends that same evening. We really like eating at the restaurant and have been eating there since you opened in Edinburgh. Thank you from a fan of the restaurant!

This was our first visit to cote after a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed excellent tasty and well presented food and great service will be returning for sure.

Another good lunch at Cote. Large choice from the set menu making it very good value. Definitely worth joining Cote rewards given free offers that appear from time to time

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was lovely and romantic. As a coeliac, I was amazed at the choice of food on the gluten free menu, and was pleasantly surprised when the waiter said they could alter some of the dishes on the main menu to suit me too. The food was out of this world. The French onion soup was amazing, the duck confit was superb, and the chocolate mousse tremendous. It means a lot to me that they take gluten intolerance so seriously, and to have such a wonderful meal with no ill effects is simply great. Thank you to all staff and chefs, you created a perfect night for my wife and I. Paul B

Food and service was excellent, only gripe was the optional service charge which was added to the bill without discussion. I asked the waitress, politely, to remove it which she did without question and I left a very good tip. There were 8 in our party and all were pleased with the whole meal. I will be back and happy to recommend.

Great service and reasonably priced delicious food. My coffee loving husband also said that the coffee is 'excellent.' We (a group ranging in age from 13-70years) all really enjoyed our lunch. We would certainly go back to Cote.

Good food for a reasonable price with good service and ambience. Music was a wee bit loud, the restaurant is quite dark and a 12.5% optional service charge is added to the bill. However, well worth a visit.

Good meal and set menu was great value with a good choice of food. Service and ambience also very good. Overall would recommend as a place to find decent food at reasonable prices for Edinburgh City centre

Six of us had the March Set Lunch and we all enjoyed our meal with no complaints. Staff all very professional and friendly. We had all been before and will be back.

We have visited a number of Cote Brassiere’s around the country and never been disappointed with the food or service. Tonight at Cote Edinburgh was excellent as always

Very much enjoyed our lunch. Chose from the 'Premium' menu, which was well priced, with good choice. Service was excellent-no long waits, & staff were extremely pleasant and professional. Will definitely be back!

Lovely, low key evening. Lovely food, great wine and perfect service. Who could ask for anything more. Would seriously recommend to anyone who is looking for a pleasant eveningin town.

We enjoyed our meal, but we were only given the premier meal deal or ala Carte, we found out later there was a cheaper meal deal, bit disappointed we didn't get offered it. Staff very attentive, maybe too much, I'd just put a mouthful of my main in my mouth when we were asked how our meals were, and my plate was cleared as soon as I put down my knife and fork. But I still enjoyed my meal, even if pricier than we expected!

Usually I rate my experience at the top but today we felt the soup was very thin and my chicken slightly dry. This is the first time after regular visits I was slightly disappointed.

Just love this restaurant, friendly staff, nothing is to much bother for them . I also like their lunch fixed price menu as they change this every month. Have recommended this restaurant to many people and will continue to do so

Frustrating that 12.5% service was added automatically for a table of 3. Food was good though, lots of choice, and the atmosphere is good - not too loud to talk.

Had to use a torch to read the menu. Lighting insufficient. Menu needs to be black text on white background or improve lighting. Sea bass was superb but boefe burgeogne was accompanied by potato puree whist boiled potatoes should be used as in France and anywhere else I have had it in the UK. Optional gratuity was on bill which I think is presumptuous brass neck which may not be spotted and customers may pay it unwittingly. Noisy, could do with soft furnishings to quieten the place but it is the customers creating the noise so there is little you can do about it.

Fabulous lunch. Great prices and great staff & service. I would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone for lunch & dinner. Set lunch has great choices and the main menu is fabulous. The staff are wonderful and friendly.

Cote serves beautiful food and lovely wine. The restaurant is very relaxing and the staff are attentive. I would highly recommend a visit and guarantee a return.

Fabulous food, friendly helpful staff, beautiful ambience; our Cote Edinburgh experience was everything we had hoped for and so much more. A truly enjoyable evening, we will definitely be back for more. Yum!

We enjoyed our visit to Cote. The food and service were excellent and we were given a very nice table in the window area. This was our 5th visit to Cote and we were not disappointed.

Lovely flavoursome meal would have voted excellent if we had been offered bread with our soup and a piece of fudge or chocolate with our coffee

Food acceptable. Very over priced. Staff lovely. Very, very warm room! The clientele appears to be elderly ladies who lunch, not really my vibe for a lunch.

Tuesday lunchtime I thought it might be quiet but it was quite busy and there was a very nice atmosphere. The food was very good and the service excellent. I'll be back. Jim
