Although not busy, service was quite slow and the food was served warm not hot. Not normally like this.

Had a lovely breakfast here but felt the portions could have been bigger. Very glued up on Coeliac Disease.

Unfortunately one of our party took ill just as we finished our main course . At our request the staff immediately called an ambulance and despite the restuarant being very busy the staff were very helpful in what was a traumatic experience for us We will be back!! Our friend was taken to hospital but has now recovered. Our thanks to all

Despite being a busy Saturday night the noise level was acceptable . The food was as usual very good. I had the lamb cutlets, much larger than I anticipated, but very good and cooked to perfection. My partner (a hotel manager) had a very good steak. The staff and service were very good.

We took old friends out for dinner to Cote Edinburgh. Every part of our meal was perfect and they said it was probably one of the best meals they have ever had out!

The food, wine & service was excellent. We were greeted courteously & shown to a lovely table.

Hard surfaces all around make the sound echo in parts of the restaurant building up the noise levels when busy

Had the early evening set menu and couldn’t have been more pleased. Whitebait to start and Beef en Croute main with Chocolate Pot to finish. Service great.

I’ve eaten in many Cote restaurants and this was an overall good experience. The food and service was of a high standard.

Lovely food (spinach & mushroom crepe delicious) . Staff friendly and left us to chat until we were ready to order didn't feel rushed at all even after we had finished eating. Great atmosphere lovely table in the window. Been a few times now and can't recommend enough.

Food was grear and serving staff were excellent. Really understating of my wife who is a coeliac, making sure that the food was clearly labeled and served separately

Food delicious and well presented. Booked for 1pm - order taken 1.45pm. Food arrived 2pm. OK as we were not in a hurry. .Don't like service being added to my bill.

Quality and presentation of food excellent. Service outstanding and the team were friendly, helpful and full of energy and passion.

Excellent meal and service. Not the cheapest restaurant in town but unlike many of its competitors the portion sizes are good. I was particularly impressed with the two large, fresh sea bass fillets I had. Atmosphere and service are good.

We always have a great experience at Cote. The staff are excellent we try to go 1-2 times a month and they always remember us.

Unfortunately Cote did not accept the £10 discount we had been offered by Quandoo. It said others had had the same problem. It was embarrassing and we would be grateful for an explanation. Lois Ronay

Excellent food, service and atmosphere to brighten up a dreary day

Fabulous!. Great food and atmosphere. Perhaps families with children and babies could all sit together. So the noise is contained- we couldn’t hear the background music. I’ll stick to going to Cotes in the evening rather than a Sunday lunchtime. Despite the couple of negative sentences. I love Cotes.

My one reservation is regarding the 'discretionary' 12.5% service charge. This is a rather annoying London practice brought to Edinburgh by the chains. However your steak frites keep me going back for more.

We were greeted like regulars and one member of staff even remembered from our last visit that we’d had travel problems and enquired how we had got on.

lovely bistro restaurant in Edinburgh city centre. food always fresh and well cooked. very tasty and worth a visit.

Unfortunately been had power cuts but the staff responded brilliantly. Service remained efficient but friendly and the food full of flavour.

This was my third visit and Cote lived up to expectations. The food and service were great - my friend and I had a fabulous afternoon.

First visit and will definitely return. The menu was very reasonably priced compared with similar city centre restaurants

I have been for lunch several times and the food and wine is excellent. The ambience is buzzy and the service very good. Overall an excellent experience.

Really nice food, well presented and not over-priced. Service was great and the wine we picked was lovely and reasonably priced also. It can be cool if seated near the door.

Normally have the set lunch menu which gives a good choice of starter, main and dessert. Never have a problem finding something to choose. The service at the Edinburgh Cote is exceptional. Staff extremely pleasant,helpful and attentive. Have recommended the restaurant to many people and will continue to do so. Also taken many friends for the first time and introduced them to the delights of Edinburgh Cote.

Staff were very attentive, in essence the food was also very good however, we had not finished our starters when a tray a food appeared which was swiftly rotated 180 degrees. When the mains did arrived all four steaks were a tad warm / coldish we did inform a waiter and he did immediately offer to replace all four meals which we declined but 10/10. We were compensated for this but DONT be put off by this we all have our bad days and we will go back.

Really delicious food. Superb service. It was my Mum and Son’s birthdays and they were given a glass of Prosecco and kids cocktail & sweets for the kids. Couldn’t have done enough to look after us. Great restaurant- we will definitely go back. Thank you

Love this restaurant and is one of our go too’s. this was a Hogmanay booking. Food was excellent. A large party at the rear of restaurant were we were initially sat was very noisy which spoiled the ambience but we got moved for dessert and enjoyed the rest of our evening. Excellent value considering it was Hogmanay

Good food - reasonable price. As expected from Cote. Was missing some menus items which was annoying. But plenty of other options to choose from.

The usual high standard at one of our favourite restaurants in Edinburgh.

Service was good but could be improved with taking a quicker drinks order and checking food was okay after starting. It was a busy lunch time however could be slightly better staffed. Food delish.
