Brilliant as ever. Good food, attentive staff. Just great. Never been up stairs at Edinburgh before, we loved it.

I love the food here and actually ordered what I usually do and it was absolutely delicious. The guys serving were charming and very polite. A most enjoyable evening catching up with a friend

Attentive, professional waiters, lovely choice of food with matching wines (Valentine Day menu) at very reasonable price. We even got our favourite table in the window, Quiet and cosy with view of wet, wind-swept street. What's not to like!

Meal was good, apart from problem with freshness and texture of sirloin steak which was replaced. Main complaint was smokers standing in doorway and cigarette smoke blew in through door. This resulted in us having unpleasant smell of smoke in our dining area close to door... repeatedly. It doesn’t matter the weather, It’s against the law & it’s their choice to smoke but others should not have to suffer secondhand smoke

Really horrible day weather wise but as soon as we stepped into Cote it was warm and welcoming.

Very happy with our experience but we do find the decor and lighting at rear part of the restaurant a bit dull and depressing

Everything about the place is excellent: the service; the food; the decore; value for money; all apart from one tiny but significant exception - the noise from the kitchen (or from what I assume to be the kitchen). We were sitting in the central section of the restaurant, near the area where all the dirty plates were returned. The sound of crashing plates was REALLY noisy! Next time I will try to sit either in the front or back section.....

I have been many times but it was a first for my 3 friends. They all commented on how lovely the restaurant is, how friendly the staff are and the choice of menus. Think they'll all be back as will I.

Welcoming and cosy, pleasantly quiet, especially in the front of the restaurant. We went for brunch and had delicious food all served quickly and efficiently.

A very welcoming place - from the decor to the staff! Excellent service and in a welcome break from the norm all our food was brought to our table at the same time - so no waiting for anyone to be served. Extra staff needed to make that difference but worth it IMHO. Food was excellent and catered for most food preferences. Prices were reasonable also. Service is added by default - but good service costs so no issue from me. Highly recommended!

We had a great evening. The service was excellent and atmosphere in the restaurant was good.

Staff were great on the evening. I had arranged a group of 15 and everything went well. The pre-order worked, saved a lot of time. From making the booking to organising payment it all went very smoothly.

Exellent food and service in this cosy city restaurant. The lunch menu is especially superb value for money.

Took friend for her first experience of Cote - absolutely loved her Goat's cheese salad choice and the accompany January offer wine. I enjoyed my goujons although they, and the accompanying frites could have been hotter. Restaurant was full and we were placed at only remaining table beside the bar - this made conversation difficult when the added noise from the coffee machine competed for attention. Service was very polite and apologetic about this.

As always the service, the food surroundings were excellent. Every member of staff was helpful and efficient and we made a booking for February.

Food and service were excellent. Prices were competitive, but 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill. I would rather have decided on that myself, and indeed I would have left a tip but it should have been my decision.

Restaurant was very busy but Maitre D and waiter very prompt and courteous. We were given a good table and the food was really good value.

We always enjoy our meals at Cote and thank the member of staff at the Canterbury restaurant for pointing out a few years ago, that we now had a branch in Edinburgh!

Food delish as usual. Service was efficient and friendly. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant but book in advance. I was there Monday lunchtime and it was chock a block
