Food was lovely. Staff amazing. We've been here many times and would recommend it. Marked down slightly as we were originally seated in a very noisy area at the back amongst a large and noisy family pre wedding day get together. They were having a great time but we couldn't hear each other. The staff were amazing and moved us to a table nearer the front which was perfect - thank you!

Service excellent as usual. 14 in our party and everyone was highly satisfied. We have been to York, Cambridge and Lincoln restaurants and have been happy with the food and service in all.

A most delightful lunch, food, ambience, and service in corresponding order, delightful, relaxing, courteous and prompt.Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I look forward to my next visit.

Location, comfort, ambience, food and service EXCELLENT! Need I say more? We visit this restaurant every time we come to Edinburgh and we are never disappointed. Highly recommended.

We booked for Mother's’ Day requesting our favourite table. Arrived to find it booked and ready for us and then followed a delightful lunch, delicious food - excellent and varied choices - and a glass each of kir royale. The staff were charming and efficient and we have to say it was one of the best lunches at Cote, ever. Thank you thank you for a very special meal!

Everything was excellent. Staff were very attentive, the food arrived quickly and was exceptional. I needed a gluten free meal and the staff were really helpful. It was very quiet (possibly due to the fact that we were there mid afternoon) which meant there wasn’t a huge atmosphere in the restaurant.

The Mussels meal was huge and the fries that came along were very tasty. The restaurant was happy to accomodate lactose intolerant request. The fish parmentier was just as good. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommended.

Excellent service by our waitress fully deserving of the 12.5% service. Restaurant is well located, nice ambience with good temperature and music. The mussels starter wasn’t as fresh as it could have been and felt some mussels had dried out. Calamari was pleasant and a nice change to be breaded. Seafood linguini was ok couldn’t detract any lobster jus and would have been improves my more sauce, again felt volume made rather than cooked fresh.

We all agreed that the food was very tasty. There was so much choice, it was quite hard to decide what to have. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch.

Impressed by consistent quality of Cote - delivers its vision extremely well - good quality wholesome food, good value, delightful staff and variety for repeat customers. No pretensions just is what it is and very good at it.

Another excellent meal at Côte. Reliable as ever, with a few new and seasonal choices to add to the mix. My friend enjoyed his escalope de veau and I had the familiar duck breast. Complimentary glass of gin and tonic added to the enjoyment.

My friend and I had a lovely late lunch here. The staff and food were very good. We had an enjoyable time.

We always have a wonderful time at Cote. We try to go once or twice a month and the staff always remember us. The food is excellent and because some of menu changes there’s always something we want.

First time visit, but it won’t be the last. Very good food and a great atmosphere. A little bit of France right in the heart of Edinburgh. Highly recommend a visit.

Amazing with a wonderful helpful staff. I thought the food was amazing and had a great value for the money that was spent for dinner. Excellent wide selection of wines, beers, and cocktails as well.

Very friendly staff who were understanding of the requirements for my wife who is a coeliac, ensuring that all food was served separately and labeled for peace of mind. They were quick and attentive. Nice atmosphere and excellent food. I would definitely go back when I'm next in Edinburgh

We had a very pleasant experience dining at Cote Brasserie. The service by Justine was excellent and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

I have been to Cote many times but on three ocassions in Edinburgh. I much prefer to sit in the front of the restaurant and that is where I was today. It was very pleasant, a seat by the window. The service was excellent, food was good, wine too if not a little pricey. All in all I think Cote is a lovely place to have a meal.

The starter of warm gorgonzola salad was poor, the croutons were stale, after eating one bite, I asked to be replaced. There was no apology, or I will let the chef know, the statement to me was,' would you like another, but it will be exactly the same' so in other words, the chef after receiving a complaint, would still continue to serve! Also when taken away, I ordered a replacement soup, there was no apology and when the soup was brought back, no apology and I had to sit and eat my food alone, whilst my friends had all finished. To add insult to injury, no deduction was made. They also add a 12.5% gratuity automatically, in such an instance I would like to chose, if I pay a gratuity, when there is a problem. When we left there was no real goodbye.

Allways made to feel special. Never disappointed. Thank you

A delicious meal, as always, from first bite to last. It was my friend's first time and she and her mother loved it too. Service was good too, although a little bit slow at times today.

Always consistently good, delicious food, great wine and wonderful service can’t fault this restaurant, the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for any kind of dining from work night out to intimate dining , attention to detail is spot on, you are doing a great job

Food was excellent , we chose from the lunch menu and were happy with the options available. Staff were very helpful, fast service but didn't feel rushed. Will definitely return.

Excellent service from showing us to our table to bringing the bill at the end. Couldn’t have been more helpful and very efficient. Food delicious and had no complaints.

I paid my 2nd visit to a Cote Restaurant in a week, first Shrewsbury then Edinburgh. Mentioned this to our waiter who brought 2 Kir Royales by way of a thank you. Lovely! From the extensive Gluten Free menu, I had the pork belly followed by dark chocolate pot. Husband had the Breton Fish stew followed by Tarte fine aux Pommes. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. Together with a decent bottle of Merlot, a coffee and Calvados, the total was a little under £75. Good value and this visit more than reinforced our fondness for this restaurant chain which manages not to feel like a chain.

Easy booking online. Welcome was really good and friendly. Food well presented and first class. Service was excellent. Really enjoyed the meal and experience. Will definitely book again.

The food and ambiance is always fantastic. The specials change every month and as we try and go every fortnight it give us more choice. The service is excellent.

Had fantastic lunch. Food excellent, service very good. Little bit noisy but didn't detract from a lovely meal. The set menus mean on tight budget you can still get a delicious meal.

As always our food was great. On this occassion we were seated upstairs. We felt we were not attended to as much as we normally would be when seated downstairs......my husband even went downstairs to find someone! We did get an apology. We are at cote Edinburgh a lot so hopefully this won't happen again.

Myself and 5 others were at the restaurant Saturday night. Our waiter was excellent, she was very pleasant and helpful....we were quite demanding lol! nothing was too much trouble for her. Food was absolutely amazing. I had crab for starters, then Lamb and finally Crème caramel. all beautifully served and prepared. We also had a complimentary blood orange cocktail which was also amazing. Cant wait to return here. Thank you Helen

Excellent service, food and wine. Noisy table behind us but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the evening. Very helpful staff. I can thoroughly recommend Cote for value for money.
