Côte Dorking

My friend and I had an excellent meal and enjoyed the friendly and attentive service. Really enjoyable. Have been before and will certainly be going again.

Only negative was is that We had to wait 30 minutes for some water. The waiter was very good. My friend is Gluten free and the menu choice was excellent.

A pleasant experience - good value food and friendly service. Côte Dorking is well situated with easy parking in St Martin's Walk). The tables are sufficiently spaced so that you don't feel crowded and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed a well-priced and good tasting bottle of wine with our steaks.

It was ok. Couldn’t swap menus which was annoying. Why can’t you just charge the higher priced menu? Service was a little slow. Had to ask twice for water.

Great Restaurant, good food and friendly & efficient service. This really is classic french bistro food at its best. We always look for Côte restaurants wherever we find ourselves.

I dined with a friend at Cote in Dorking, having been at Chelsea all day. We were both looking forward to a relaxing meal. Cote was superb. The restauarant was very busy at 7.30 pm but we were greeted immediately on arrival and shown to our table. We had water on the table immediately and ordered our choice of drinks. we chose a 2 course menu and coffee and it was delicious and very hot which is a nice change. Cote is our favourite restaurant locally and we will definitely return.

The breakfast at Cote Brasserie was delicious! I enjoyed the French breakfast with delicate toasted brioche and very tasty boudin noir and field mushroom, perfect scrambled eggs and crispy streaky bacon. My husband chose the vegetarian breakfast which included a lovely veggie sausage, soft and full of flavour, tomato, mushroom and avocado. Altogether a perfect experience with attentive and friendly staff.

Excellent as always. Delicious food, great service in a clean and friendly atsmosphere. Definitely recommend to others. High quality from this chain restaurant yet again.

This lovely restaurant is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service is wonderful, patient and attentive without being pushy. Good tasty food, things I can eat and I am very fussy. I keep going back.

Very good food as usual and served with a smile. Slight delay between starter and main but not really an issue for our party - ?could have been for some. Good value for money.

Great restaurant. Quiet. Good service. Lovely food. Good staff. Good Parking which was free on a Sunday evening and ample. All in all a great experience.

We visited Dorking with our friends for our regular monthly Cote meal. As usual, we were welcomed warmly and ate another excellent meal, thank you.

This is a charming restaurant in the centre of Dorking - one of the most attractive of all the Cotes we have visited. We went for Sunday lunch which was a most enjoyable experience. As ever we were greeted immediately we entered the restaurant and shown to a table without any problem. Service was good and friendly. throughout the meal. Crab mayonnaise and a garlic bread to start followed by a chicken and walnut salad and sea bass for me. How very thoughtful to have the mayonnaise served on the side rather than over the fish. This suited me as I only like a very small amount of mayonnaise. No desserts this time but some very acceptable decaff coffee. Overall a most enjoyable experience and we will be returning.

Excellent service and good food. Always a successful meal out at Cote. It was my husbands birthday and they allowed me to bring my own cake with no problem - quite rare nowadays but it meant a lot.

We had another excellent meal at Cote Dorking. The food is excellent and the service very friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. We have eaten there a few times before.

Great value lunch in relaxed atmosphere. Only negative was the terrible smell which intermittently came from the bar area - must be a blocked drain !

Disappointed with my main meal on the Set Menu - it was dryish and not very appetising, usually eat at Cote in Cobham which I have never had any complaints about.

Easy to book, with great food, and good service. A little noisy but I suppose inevitable as it is popular. Service on bill automatically whereas I prefer to give cash to say thank you.

First time visit, very pleased with the experience as one of the party is a coeliac and needed a gluten free meal. Staff attentive and polite, food good. We will be returning again fairly soon.

For sure one of the best restaurants in Dorking and nice service as well. Good winelist as well. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday there and she loved it!

Cote is a very reliable place to eat as usual. Great gluten free menu. Steaks are cooked as requested and good quality meat. Great selection of wines.

Friendly welcome, restaurant was very quiet but sometimes staff hard to find. My coffee was virtually cold and had to take it to the serving counter. Tuna rillettes was actually tuna mayonnaise, quite pleasant but not rillettes. I live in France and know what rillettes should be like. I’ve had better meals and service here before. A little disappointing.

Another enjoyable dining experience at Côte Dorking - good ambience, food, drinks and service. The steaks as always were excellent and the desserts top quality.

we Sat towards the back on the right which is too near where the waiters put dishes etc and thus we witnessed a lot of clattering and a few dropped plates! food very good so that almost made up for the noisy area!

Greattach service, nice friendly staff. All our food was lovely really enjoyed the whole experience. Prices were cheap especially with the high quality of the food ! We will definately come again.

Food, drinks & service reliably good. Minor point but as a regular I wish the sauce was always properly warm to thaw the frozen berry dessert - sometimes it is perfect, but more often not.

We always have a good time at Cote Dorking - lovely staff, good food, great value - we have never had a remotely disappointing visit there

We had an excellent visit - great food (starters and mains), and really lovely service, waiting till we were ready without ever being intrusive. Brasserie atmosphere created a relaxed yet buzzy evening.

Great lunch menu and lovely food, but did feel slightly rushed. This was surprising as it wasn’t busy and I hadn’t seen my friend for a long time, so plenty to catch up on!

The restaurant was comfortably full, so good ambience. Service was friendly and prompt. Our food was well cooked and seasoned. A very enjoyable lunch. we shall be back!

Standard Cote reliability. A little off the pace for remembering to bring gluten-free bread; had to be reminded otherwise no grumbles. Always know you'll get consistency wherever you are with Cote

The food was excellent as usual, and quickly served. I had my favourite table. The meal was very good value. The menu continues to give a wide range of choices.

Cote Brasserie at Dorking is an excellent restaurant and the staff are so helpful and courteous. Outstanding quality of dishes and a lot of variety.

price of set menu increased since last visit. Portions smaller and required ordering of extra vegetables to constitue a "mea". No longer a good value.

As a hard critic of food professionally dining at a chain well known name they served amazing food that had been beautifully and artistically presented, the service was brilliant making the whole experience rather exquisite. I requested a silent area of the restaurant to sit with my partner and my request was met perfectly which is extremely rare. Overall experience was 10/10

All round excellent experience, food service and location, and of course not forgetting the staff. I would recomend this venue to all, also in a very good location

Lovely atmosphere in a very comfy restaurant. Staff were friendly and provided great service. The food at Cote is always good and at Dorking was no exception.

Had the lunch set menu today, very good value although the bread served with my starter was a little on the hard side and somewhat difficult to eat. Service good, friendly staff. Would recommend.
