Côte Dorking

This is a favourite restaurant of ours. Firstly, the staff are so wonderfully welcoming and friendly. I genuinely feel like they are our friends. Côte have a really good team with Cipran and Katarina, they are wonderful ambassadors for the company. The food is always of a high standard, they currently have my favourite seasonal starter on, the seared tuna - delicious! Highly recommend.

A Cote visit is always a pleasure and to have ravioli which I love with goats cheeses was a delightful surprise. I hope this will be on future menus. Such lovely pasta. You have linguine with fish but I am not a lover of fish so this new item on the menu will be a future in my case.

Left before ordering, ordered drinks upon arrival which didn't arrive, waited over 20 minutes still no one came to take our order, so started to leave. Its only when we got up to leave did someone come over. Very very poor.

My only criticism is that the set menu on their website included Zucchini Fritti which I particularly like but when we got there it was not on it. I sisn't like the other set menu starters so had the smoke salmon which was good but pushed my bill up higher. Other than that excellent restaurant.

visited Dorking Cote this evening with my mother in law for her birthday. We were given a very gracious welcome, the food was delicious as always.... as a surprise the end of the meal a chocolate fondant dessert with a candle plus 4 glasses of bubbles were delivered to our table! (complimentary) The birthday girl 87 years young! beamed with happiness as everyone sang happy birthday. Thank you so much to the manager for turning a Tuesday birthday into something extra special. Well done to you all..... 5 STARS!

As always the food, staff and atmosphere was excellent. We are always assured of a friendly welcome and in fact we had reservations at another restaurant in Dorking but looked at their menu and decided we would have a better experience at Cote!

Never disappointed going to Dorking Cote - fantastic friendly staff and amazing food

Nice location but food was mediocre. Olives were poor with the stones crushed inside so difficult to eat, steak was tough. Spinach was flavourless. Dessert was good but can you fail at ice cream? I love Cote but Dorking was a little bit of a let down.

Food and service was top quality and enjoyed the whole experience.

First visit to the Dorking Côte. Food as always good and dependable...very lovely service too, but the noise levels rather high for the four of us. Lots of hard surfaces reflect the noise back.

It was OK except for the service, which was slow, and the lack of availability of lobster which featured on the menu as available.

We spent a lovely evening with our family at Cote Dorking tonight. The youngsters really loved the Lobster Frites ( main course) which was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff go out of their way to make us feel welcome and although the restaurant was full we weren’t kept waiting through all three courses. Cote is a jewel in Dorking’s Crown!

Service was brisk but polite. Food was a little on the cool side but they were very busy.

A most enjoyable evening, the food was superb and the staff were very attentive. One of my friends has to have gluten free food and was presented with a special menu which was extremely comprehensive and she commented on the bread which she said was the nicest she had tasted. We both had the crab mayonnaise, she had the gluten free bread whereas mine was served with “normal” bread.

We have just been to Cote in Dorking for our regular monthly "get together" with friends. The food, wine and especially service were as good as ever and we were excellently looked after.

Excellent service, great food - what's not to like ….

Felt very rushed not a nice experience. The restaurant was not even full or about to close. It seemed a problem that we needed time to make our choices. Ok we were chatting but that’s why we went out.

My friend & I were celebrating our approaching birthdays & this is the 1st time we had been to Cote in Dorking, as Cote Reigate is more local to us. The standard of food & the helpfulness of the staff is excellent in both & we had a lovely evening. The chef very kindly changed the sauce used in the fish stew from a chilli tomato based sauce to a creamy white wine & leek, which was much more to our liking & the stew was delicious, with a lovely generous mixture of seafood. Followed up with strawberry pavlova & a Baileys coffee, we were very replete. Thank you for a lovely meal & the complimentary birthday 'Kir Royales'. We will come again.

Really lovely evening, pleasant staff and food was very delicious.

The food was generally good. The Negroni cocktail was poor. Predominantly Campari, no ice, no garnish and a long time coming! The area was very cool. Clearly there was a staff shortage that night and we seemed to wait for everything and it was difficult to attract the attention of the server. Unfortunate as we are regular diners with you and had taken friends that evening.
