Food is always good. Staff are polite. The restaurant itself is nicely laid out. Can be a little noisy but everything else makes up for that.

Always reliable for great food at sensible prices and that goes for the wine as well. Staff are friendly and attentive without the annoying habit some restaurants have of asking so many times if you are enjoying your meal!!

The food was good but I felt a bit uncomfortable being served separately as a gluten free customer. I prefer it when everyone is served at the same time, I had to wait quite a while for my starter.

As ever we enjoyed good food delivered by a great team of highly competent and friendly people. We have yet to have even a remotely disappointing visit to Cote Dorking.

Very good service with well prepared and presented meal - great value - had the 2/3 set menu that was available before 7 0'clock. Good all round experience. Smart restaurant - good ambience.

We enjoyed our early evening meal, the dishes were attractively presented,looked appetising and proved to be full of flavour. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The complimentary bottle of wine added sparkle to the occasion.

So nice and good to catch up with the Horsham manager David who has been relocated thanks to the fire in Horsham Cote. Mussels were perfect, bottle of wine with the deal was delicious, what more could we ask for?

Overall the food and value was very good. The meal was let down by three plates (out of four) arriving less than hot. Need more attention at the ‘pass’ to get plates ready at the same time.

Sunday lunch with friends. Food cooked to a high standard full of flavour and well presented. But... why isn't it possible to get a burger 'medium' or even medium-rare? Choices are apparently only medium-well or well-done (ie grey)? Apart from that small gripe, pretty well perfect.

Had a lovely evening meal with friends. The food was great, the service was attentive and overall it was good value for money, I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Very friendly helpful staff. Our wedding party went for breakfast on Saturday morning. Very pleased to be able to get good quality food from 9am.

Food was excellent. Birthday trip for son who loves steak. He said he really enjoyed it. I had the salmon and ratatouille, which was very tasty.

Another enjoyable breakfast at Cote Dorking. Even though we only had a short wait the manager only charged us for our drinks which was very unexpected.

As always very nice wine & great value food. The starter was so tasty & fresh, I always try to leave room for pudding. Can't wait to go back

The waiting staff always provide excellent customer service with a huge smile. They make me feel better about my day. And the food is amazing too.

Attentive service, delicious food with gluten free options, nice location in a historic town. I recommend the sea bream with ratatouille, and creme caramel if you have a sweet tooth.

Once again it was excellent value for the early menu and although we dined early there was still a great atmosphere - will be back again very soon!

Not as good as usual. Mains tookove 1/2 hr to materialise and steak was not cooked as asked for. Staff very courteous manager no where to be seen.

Everything was perfect. Service, food and ambience. Better still to have complimentary glass of kit royale each which was a special offer. The lunch menu is great value.

I visited with three friends for breakfast. We all had the Formule which, although has increased slightly in price recently, is still excellent value and quality. We were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. Will be visiting again soon.

First time at Dorking Cote, have visited many others. This was a great experience, superb food and friendly service. Nice quiet location. I can highly recommend

Very good meal, good choice of wines, friendly service, knowledgeable waiters. The food was brought promptly, as were the last minute extras we ordered. A pleasant experience.

The meal and the service we had was very good. The reason for a not so good score was due to so many of the menu items not being available. I accept that this was a Sunday night at 7pm but I really accept that you would have regular deliveries to keep the stock to level where only an occasional item was not available. Saying that we would still recommend our friends to go to the restaurant for a meal.

Attentive service, meal fine but complimentary wine was added to bill and lighting is so dim we almost didn't spot it! Breton fish stew was a little disappointing with poor mussels and a stodgy mass of potato in the bottom and a general lack of flavor overall, but the duck and fish pie were good. We arrived a few minutes before seven but were denied the early evening menu which seemed very good value.

Not quite up to the usual very high standard we have normally experienced . Quick Friday evening dinner for two of us , restaurant not that busy at 6.30.pm . My steak frites arrived and had to be sent back as steak and plate both cold and garlic butter had not melted ! My wife’s chicken chasseur dish was hot and quite tasty but quality of meat not very good . Service was fine and management team as friendly as usual . We will return , probably for a lunch time session which generally we prefer .

Nice food and friendly and helpful staff. A bit slow but we weren’t in a hurry. I was the only one with a grouse - my duck (!) was seasoned with an overwhelming amount of herbs.

We have always enjoyed our lunches and dinners at Cote Dorking. Today we were treated to a very acceptable complimentary bottle of wine, which went well with the chicken salad and Risotto we ordered. Nice full bodied Americano and chocolate mousse to follow. Pleasant environment with our own booth, which we prefer and the usual quality service. Job done.

A full bistro on Saturday evening, cheerful atmosphere, inviting menu, delicious food and wine, courteous and friendly service. Our third or fourth visit and we will definitely return!

We were celebrating our sons engagement to our future daughter in law, Côte's made the evening really special for us, the food and service was excellent. Very highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would strongly recommend the restaurant to other people. My only complaint relates to the lighting and the menu. With the lights dimmed, you cannot see the menu properly. By using black print on the menu cards, you would make life much easier, not just for me, but many others I saw struggling to read.

We decided to visit Cote Dorking for a last minute anniversary celebration. It was easy to book on line. We had great service from Katerina and the food very enjoyable.

As a lover of good French cuisine Cote gets my vote every time. We ate off the Prix Fixe 3 course menu which was excellent value. The staff at this branch of Cote are particularly attentive and helpful.

Slight hiccup with the starters - wrong dish brought - but quickly rectified. All the food was delicious, although the sauce bèarnaise could have been thicker - needs to have the consistency of custard! Otherwise, excellent.

Situated in St Martins Square, one of our favourite pieces of urban regeneration there, is a choice of indoor or outdoor tables. Always a friendly greeting from the Cote crew. A great choice of food from a la carte to specials what is there not to like? Today enjoyed a beautifully cooked and presented roast sea bream with attentive service. Cote in Dorking is one of our favourite restaurants

Service was extremely slow and certain waiters seemed only to be able to perform certain tasks. It all seemed very confused. Food was quite good.

Staff fairly indifferent and fixed price menu portions have now got so small don't think i will be going there again. Used to be better on food portions

The food is excellent and we enjoyed your 10th anniversary meal that included a glass of champagne which was very welcome. The ambience and the service were very good. We will definitely be returning soon.

Always love Cote, very reliable and good quality food (especially the desserts!) I find service is better on a busy evening such as the weekend, we went when it was quiet so that is why we didn't give it a 6 on this occasion.

A varied and very good menu, staff were especially helpful and recommended a couple of very good wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening as a birthday celebration for one of our group.

Very good service and quality of food is excellent. We would however like baked beans with the full cooked breakfast! The staff make the effort to make you feel welcome.

Cote has good bistro food. The waiting staff are friendly service. The restaurant is clean. It is a good place for an evening out with the family.
