Côte Dorking

We always enjoy our breakfasts at Cotes. Today, it was, as ever, excellent value for money in a relaxed environment and the staff were very helpful. We are using the Dorking branch while our local, sadly missed branch, is under repair. I am pleased to say, the same high standards are maintained across the chain.

The food was absolutely amazing, but the table we were given was not the best,hence one star less.As the serving staff were not native speakers, they also did not understand that my friend had an allergy to peppers (vegetables),not seasoning and that resulted in her getting steak with the sauce she did not want.

Excellent food and good service great atmosphere with all being efficient and making our evening very nice. Looking forward to seeing everyone again soon thank you all.

Excellent New Years Eve meal at Cote Dorking - great food, wine, service and atmosphere. It was our second year running and we really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed a very good steak and my wife a beef bourguignon. My chocolate fondant was excellent. My wife's "dark chocolate" mousse a bit disappointing - more like milk chocolate mousse. Pleasant wines at reasonable prices. Efficient and personable service.

A very pleasant breakfast on New Year’s Eve using a voucher - buy one formule and your guest can eat a formule for free. The food was yummy as always

The steak I had was very good and was cooked exactly to my liking, french restaurants always seem to be good at this, the frites were excellent to and the food arrived piping hot and fresh. Attentive staff, nice ambience. As always, very good.

I am disabled, and as soon as I get out side the door someone cames and opens it for me. Great to have a welcome. I was served quickly, and the food was excellent as usual. Still very good value.

Very good as usual. They certainly have a good chef in the Dorking branch. I was a little surprise so few people were dining out though!

Great food and good value for money. The grilled chicken always a family favourite, my children had calamari and smoked salmon as starters and that was all delicious. Cote is a quality chain where the restaurants are stylish and the food is very good and that's why it's successful. The service was impeccable too so we were happy.

We had attentive staff and great food. It was spacious for family get together. Lovely experience and one of our top choices for family meals.

As always first rate service, and very good and wine, we ate off the fixed menu, which is excellent value for money, it is certainly my first choice of where to eat in Dorking.

Good food, good service and reasonably priced. Met up with a group of friends and we were all very satisfied. we will definitely go back again.

We arrived a little early but were greeted promptly and shown to our table. Service was very efficient, and the gluten free meal was served to the correct person. Food was excellent and satisfying, as was the wine. We were not hurried to leave our table as soon as we finished even though it was Christmas Eve and tables were soon being taken up. A joyable experience for the time of year.

Great food and great service. Really enjoy it every time we go. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always attentive without being pushy and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

We had a lovely Christmas Eve lunch today at Cote Dorking. The service was good and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food to arrive. Staff were courteous and helpful. Our meal was hot, fresh and tasty. A bottle of Merlot added to the lunch. Thank you to the chefs and all staff and we wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and such friendly personnel. The overall service is great, with an exception here and there, but those are normally minor issues.

Good location in central Dorking. Great service as usual, set menu good value, good steak, salad and great deserts. Son loves ice cream and warm chocolate!

Enjoyable breakfast. I would recommend the vegetarian breakfast I'm not vegetarian but I have to say it was a tasty breakfast.

Good atmosphere. Local facility. Uncomplicated menu and the food came promptly. The staff were very Friendly and helpful. We had a lovely evening and will most likely return

No table at the side available which was a shame. One of the main meals very disappointing. Staff lovely & will certainly go again in the New Year.

Good food, friendly but slow service. No goats cheese available so had to make a second choice. Endive salad was tasty and coffee was excellemt

Fantastic service and great tasting breakfast too. Was offered a brilliant deal so one of us ate for free as well. Merry Christmas! Would thoroughly recommend.

We had a lovely lunch...food was delicious and very reasonably priced..staff and service were excellent...the atmosphere was lovely and not too noisy . a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

The ambience, service and food were excellent. I have a wee niggle that there are no vegetables included on a main plate which puts the bill up quite a bit, and also soft drinks are expensive. Also, on the lunchtime fixed menu, which IS excellent value, it says that the meals are available for early evening, but we took the children there at 4.30 and there was no sign of it. In their favour, the children's menu is as high quality as the adult one, which is not always the case elsewhere, kudos to Cote for that. It's still my favourite of all the bistro chains but I do feel a bit ripped off by the 'extras'.

Cote is always a reliable choice for breakfast, brunch or at anytime! The Dorking branch is baby-friendly and has polite staff. I recommend the breakfast deal!

Very attentive staff and a lovely meal. The fish was a little overcooked but everything was delicious, even so. It's a lovely place to go for a nice evening (or lunch) out.

Good food with lots of choice. The staff were helpful without being intrusive. A nice atmosphere for our Christmas lunch. Cote is always a reliable option.

The service and atmosphere was great my steak was great but the ladies found the chicken over spiced and one lady found it almost inedible However we had a good lunch and social time

Bright and stylish dining room, good food and service. French Onion soup and Seabass very nice. My first time, will definitely return to Cote, whether in Dorking or elsewhere.

Enjoyed a delicious meal with three friends. Only problem of cold chips was quickly remedied. Service was friendly and efficient even though the restaurant was very busy the week before Christmas

The restaurant was very welcoming with sophisticated Christmas decorations, lovely to get into the warm on a horrid wet morning. The breakfast was delicious, no sausages had been delivered, so extra bacon. Totally delicious, will definitely return. Thank you

Dorking is by far the best Cote there is. I’ve been to Reigate, Guildford, Woking and Weybridge but dorking is the best. Hubby had the perfect birthday dinner.

Excellent welcome, attentive service, superb food.Monthly changing specials menu, always ensure there is something different to try, or the main menu will tempt you back with firm favorites.

Another enjoyable, civilised breakfast at Cote in Dorking, with yummy food and friendly attentive waiting staff. Looking forward to our next visit with friends and family.

We had a fantastic meal on Saturday evening here. The service was brilliant and the food excellent. I've always liked the atmosphere in this Cote restaurant, it's always buzzy and the waiting staff are always so friendly and attentive.

I have spent a lot of time visiting Cote Dorking with my family and usually very happy however tonight the restaurant was not as warm and cosy as it usually is.

Had a catch up lunch with friends. The steak was one of the best I've had. Delicious. Friendly efficient staff. Visiting again next week so hope the standard of food is the same.

Cote never disappoints. Excellent and friendly service and the steak frites are to die for. The lunch menus is good value and I’ll try the Christmas menu when I come again on Friday

We had the Christmas Lunch set menu and the food was great, especially the rib-eye steak; cooked to perfection. The service was very good as always. Lovely ambience too.

As usual in Dorking, a very warm welcome followed by efficient service with a smile. Excellent choice of menu, nicely presented. Thoroughly recommended and we always look forward to our next visit.

The usual good-value food, good and friendly service. But the complementary drinks to celebrate my birthday was an unexpected touch, and very welcome as well.

Went early as going to Dorking Theatre. Had the early 2 course menu, which is good food for a fair price. Would go there again.

Not what it used to be. Food still great but staff distant, cold and uninterested. Plenty of pleasantries but felt scripted as opposed to genuine. Left me to take coats for entire group and collect them at the end of the meal. Presented with 4 menus but nobody explained once you'd ordered one course from one that you couldn't order a different course from another - totally inflexible and unaccommodating. Especially given the same meal was more than £10 dearer on one menu than another, yet what arrived was an identical plate of food. By this time I'd given up trying to reason with the staff so as not to upset the rest of the group. Having been here many times before we chose Cote Brasserie for what thought would be a warm and inclusive pre-Christmas family gathering with a great atmosphere and service to match. We left feeling disappointed and wondering if the food alone was enough to bring us back. If you're looking for somewhere to eat out in Dorking there are many more restaurants that offer a much warmer welcome.

Great experience and really great food. It was a busy night but we were still served quickly and our dishes were cleared not long after we finished. It was loud as it was busy, but it was a Saturday night, off peak visits are a lot quieter. Our waitress, Claudia, was lovely.
