It was great to be back!!!!! Social distancing worked, but affected ambiance.
Service was excellent and very patient as we were a bit slow on our ordering decisions. All 6 of us enjoyed the starters (Calamari, Prawn Gratinee, and the Chicken Liver Parfait) the mains (Sea Bream, Belly Pork, Poulet Breton, and the 3 steaks were all cooked well. I enjoyed my crepe. All in all we had a good time. Thank you staff.
They would not cater to our simple requirements. Went elsewhere and had a lovely time. Probably won’t return. Sad service in such desperate times for businesses. I would have thought they would be grateful for the custom.
Excellence in every aspect! Service, food and ambiance all superb. We thoroughly enjoyed the lobster and despite feeling more than satisfied, simply had to sample the dessert menu!
Great meal, great social distancing. Great night. Will be back next week.
Dorchester cotes is our favourite, the food is always delicious and the service is always excellent with friendly staff.
Lovely meal with a good but lobster was a bit dried out!
As ever, a delicious dinner and beautifully waited on. It's great to be back!
Fantastic service and the food was excellent. One of the best meals out of the summer and we eat out regularly.
First meal out since lockdown. Felt quite relaxed as staff appeared to be regularly cleaning tables and chairs and wore protective face visors. My husband is coeliac and, as usual, had great confidence in the menus and staff training. Food very good.
It’s always a good tasty meal at the Cote. It’s good to see you reopened!
Amazing food, great service, excellent covid precautions, love this restaurant
First family meal since lockdown, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you.
Loved being back at cotes, excellent service and gorgeous food a
It was nice to be at Cote again during ‘ eat out to help out’. The service was a little slow which is unusual as it was only quite busy. The food was very good as usual and the stall were as helpful as ever and concerned by the wait we had today .
I was really impressed with the food, standards of this company are high and you can definitely taste it. Although this is a large company, you can really see that they care for their product. With the visit. Thank you
Excellent food. Social distancing could be better. Lighting a bit dim for an old codger like me. However, to repeat, excellent food, good choice, sensible kids menu
It was lovely to receive such a warm welcome from the female hostess with the blonde ponytail. Sorry I don’t know her name. New menu was fabulous Service excellent Thank you for reopening in these unusual times.
Cote in Dorchester is always a pleasure to visit, and on our opinion is one of the two best restaurants in Dorchester, and there is plenty to choose from!! The food is always exquisite. The staff are always friendly without being ‘over friendly’. Was mainly served by Kye (really sorry if I spelt his name wrong!!), who was pleasant and chatty.
After weeks of lockdown we decided that an anniversary needed to be celebrated. We decided on Côte Brasserie and are pleased that we did. Good service, attentive but not intrusive. Good food, well cooked and nicely presented. Care exercised by staff in order to meet Covid 19 requirements so all in all a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely food and excellent customer service as ever and really nice to see the table laid. Understand its a reduced menu currently but hoping the breakfast deal with drink included comes back soon, also the eggs royale is back on the menu soon! Thank you though, really lovely for first Cote meal back after lockdown.
It was lovely to visit one of our favourite restaurants in town again and not feel overwhelmed by Covid-19 restrictions which seems to be the norm. Good food and drinks. Well done!👍
It was wonderful to be back in Cote. The food was excellent and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive as ever. My only points for improvement would be; 1) the first table we were seated at was directly in the draft from the open door. At 19:15 on a less that balmy evening it would have been good if the staff had considered this before seating us. When we asked to move we were relocated without any issues but it wasn’t a great start to the evening. 2) we were given the menu which had drinks on the back. Our favourite wine was not on the list so we selected an alternative. During the meal we observed other diners being given a separate drinks menu. When we mentioned at the end of the meal that it was a shame our favourite wine had not been available the waiter confirmed that we should have been given a separate wine list on which all wines were available. He apologised but it would have been better to get right first time.
A lovely meal . Social distancing measures spot on. Service excellent and meal was delicious .
So lovely to be back in our favourite restaurant, and catch up with the friendly staff again. Prawn gratin and steak as excellent as ever, see you soon
Good to get out, lovely food and service great. Finally able to satisfy my friends choc pot craving which she has had all over lockdown.
We really enjoyed our meal but was upset at end as was not offered option to not pay the optional gratiduty was told the combined amount minus the vouchers I had and we left a cash tip too !!I normally pay amount without gratiduty and leave my own tip . Realised when we got home when too late . Other than this I couldn't fault anything .
The whole experience felt rushed, food came out very quickly and you didn’t feel as if you had a chance to relax before the next course.
Good to see you back, especially those familiar faces of your lovely excellent staff. The service and quality of food is exceptional.
Nice to get back to our local Cote, see all the same faces of the staff that where there before Covid and have the same amazing experience and great food even if it was only from the main menu. The eat out to help out was just a super bonus. Best wishes to all and glad you have come through the worst of 2020 and survived. Keep smiling stay well and stay safe.
Lovely to go back to our favourite restaurant in Dorchester, and to see the same staff back in their familiar places! Thank you.
I am a frequent customer of Cote, I could not see any COVID measures in place but felt very comfortable and safe
Great food, great service thank you, will return another day soon
Great to have Cote open again and we took advantage of a"Eat out help out" lunch. Lovely calamari and lamb chops with a glass of rose, and everything felt normal.
Thank you so much for a faultless meal at lunchtime today. My daughter and I were celebrating her 21st birthday and we were thoroughly spoilt with complimentary fizz and dreamy chocolate mousse. Thank You
Excellent service, very nice menu with good choice, will definitely return.
Lovely lunch with mum. Staff as friendly and attentive as ever despite the inevitable visors and the atmosphere really happy and buzzy. Everything felt as normal and safe as they could make it so I would have no hesitation in going back. Thank you for all your hard work to be able to reopen
I was concerned about the lack of social distancing. The layout in the restaurant look as it’s always looked, another customer had to squeeze past my husband.
Food very good, service very good, very happy, would go again.
A bit stressed as social distancing not observed. Tables too close together. Probably won’t visit again
A well managed establishment and apart from the obvious face shields, not much has changed from previous lockdown. Food quality is the same and the annoying secret service charge on the finsl bill but glad the restaurant is open for business again. Most other restaurants currently operate with staff not having to wear full face visor. I am hoping the cote management team look at the risk to benefit analyses regarding staff face coverings and adopt the same system as neighbouring restaurants operate. A face covering with a mask over the moith and nose is ample. The full plastic shield is less effective and makes communications difficult between staff and customer.
Very enjoyable meal. We will certainly be back in the very near future to enjoy your food which is always of a very high standard.
Lovely to be back and seeing our favourite staff and eating from the full menu again - with the bonus of £10 off with a Rishi dishy meal! Went a bit mad and had the lobster with frites so had to have a glass of wine and then couldn’t resist a dessert! Treats all round. We’ve also enjoyed Cote at home meals during lockdown!
Always a pleasant dining experience and great, well cooked food!
Always helpful, efficient staff, quick service with a good menu
Great to be back at Cote after nearly 6 months! Food and service as good as ever. Well done all!
Amazing food, lovely staff and a great atmosphere. Was a pleasure.
We come to your Dorchester branch at least once every two months. The staff are always friendly and the food is of great quality! Worth every penny! During this experience it seemed that we were rushed, we hadn’t finished our appetiser when our starters arrived, we were in and out of the restaurant within an hour of arriving having had appetiser, starter and main, we wanted a relaxed evening as we haven’t been out due to feeling nervous about Covid 19 and my partner being higher risk than others, it just seemed a bit rushed. We felt safe in the establishment however we did observe that people were not socially distancing very well. The staff all wore face coverings and you could tell as always the place was well cleaned. We really do love your restaurants!!
A very enjoyable evening with old friends, with a lively atmosphere, attentive service, from a reduced menu, unfortunately some choices missing from menu, so a bit limited. Nicely presented and cooked food, lamb chops could have been leaner and the fish Palmentier needed some green vegetables included, and looked rather bland. Desserts were usual standard. Not the usual standard of food expected, but this was the first night open after 6 months of closure. I would not have wanted to pay full price for this, but ok with Gov subsidy.
Their first day of opening and on the “Eat Out to Help Out” promotion. The service was attentive and the food excellent. It was lovely to have Côte open again in Dorchester and to feel a sense of normality in its familiar ambience.
