Côte Dorchester

Six of us had a very pleasant meal at Cote Brasserie in Dorchester. There was a nice atmosphere as there were plenty of other diners there. Our second visit there as a group of six - will be returning.

The early supper/ all day menu is incredible value for money. Great quality food served by smiling, attentive staff. We happily recommend Cote Dorchester. Our go to restaurant when we visit the town.

A pleasant experience. We had the fixed price lunch menu: 3 courses. Service good, food good -except that the hake was overcooked but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Eating at Cote is always a pleasure and today, at Dorchester, was no exception. Nice, friendly staff - attentive but not intrusive. We just ordered a main course each (a delicious seafood gratin jammed full of prawns, salmon and haddock) but that was followed by a couple of complimentary creme caramels accompanied with a small glass of desert wine courtesy of Cote Rewards. If you have never had the creme caramel before then a real treat awaits. Added to that carafes of chilled filtered water and linen napkins. Great to know that Cote will hopefully soon be in Bournemouth.

Great service friendly staff - lovely place to enjoy nice food with friends and family. Central location next to train station and car parking, car parking is free after 6pm and on Sundays.

Good service. Had scallops as a starter. Delicious. Chicken main. Friends had calamari as a starter. Large portion. All really good . Nice atmosphere in the restaurant .

Really great ambience and food, although we had to wait 50 mins to be acknowledged to ask for the bill!!! Shame to end a great evening on a low

I took some friends to Cote's for the first time, they really enjoyed it. The food was good and very friendly staff. Just one thing that could have given them a 6 rating was:- I enquired what herb or ingredient was added to the creamed spinach, and the waitress just said cream. We all thought she should have found out from the chef and told us,. We are no more enlightened as to what it was!

We received a friendly welcome and shown to our table. It was busy but our food was served promptly and the staff were very friendly and efficient, and happily checked various dishes for ingredients as one of our party was allergic to peppers & chillies. The food was excellent and we will be returning.

We arrived early & this was no problem! Every request was handled brilliantly. Service was quick & menu was very reasonable with a wide choice. I'd happily recommend & return.

Lunch set 3-course menu was good value, good selection, and good food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Optional tip added automatically, which I prefer as it saves agonising over whether to tip and how much.

Fabulous evening, wonderful food and extra special treat by the waiting staff who discovered it was a 50th birthday meal and brought out his pudding with a candle in it and then the restaurant sang happy birthday to him, such a nice touch. Thank you

Lovely food from the celebration menu, which meant it was extra value too. We visit this restaurant whenever we eat out in Dorchester and can thoroughly recommend it.

I often go to Cotes and it is always an enjoyable experience, and the food is excellent. The service is good, and the staff are always ready to accommodate any requests.

Tables too close together and the noise levels were so high as to be almost stressful. Service very good and food dependable but unremarkable. Something of a relief to leave.

As always lovely staff and excellent food, early menu is great value. But time to change the pudding menu, has been the same for years.

It's a treat to go Cote in Dorchester. The staff are friendly and helpful. We eat simply from the set early evening menu and have a bottle of wine (approx £50). Last night we had a complimentary glass of Kir Royale as a birthday reward. Thank you Cote.

Great food, fantastic wines and superb service all combined to make it an extremely enjoyable lunch. Definitely a place to return to before much longer. Many other menu options that atttracted us again.

The service provided was good and efficient, the choice of menu is comprehensive. The food chosen was presented well and tasted good. Final bill was to be expected and reflective of the quality received. Will definitely eat there again but not sure when.

Being our wedding anniversary I wanted to treat my wife to a well regarded restaurant in Dorchester. Cote was the first choice as we had been there before. The staff were very attentive; they could not have done more to make our experience enjoyable. The tomato soup, seabass, peach crumble and chocolate pod were excellent and good value. We will be dining at Cote again soon.

Beautiful food as always, quick service and polite staff. Ambience is awesome. Table of 5, we had the duck and the pork belly from the a la carte and could not fault it. Great portion size and very well cooked.

An excellent lunch, served by pollite staff, at a reasonable price, the service here is always good, we have never had a single complaint. You are guaranteed a great meal.

We were greeted and shown to our table . We ordered off the early menu ( disappointed that you had to order potatoes now .None supplied with any of the dishes ) Good food and quick service as we were booked into to see a film . Our waitress was very pleasant , an enjoyable meal .

The service is always excellent, proper linen napkins, water on the table. My only critisism is that it can get very noisy and difficult to hear others on your table as there is little in the way of soft furnishing to absorb the sound. On this occasion my potato gratin was cold, it I didnt complain as I was in a hurry!
