Côte Dorchester

We had an enjoyable meal for a reasonable price at lunchtime today. The staff were helpful and we will go to Cotes again another day.😁

We love this restaurant, we dine there quite often. The food is delicious, the selection of wines is fantastic. There is only one thing why I don't give the restaurant the 5 stars and it is because the waiters and waitresses bring you one course after the other with no time in between them as if they wanted you to go as quick as possible. It's a pitty because apart it's a very good restaurant

Arrived for a very late lunch and so the restaurant was quiet but it filled up towards the end of our meal. Food, wine and service were of the usual high standard throughout.

My first time eating at Cotes, Friendly efficient service, nice ambiance. I had the steak frites and it was perfect and very reasonable price. I shall be visiting again.

Visited this restaurant just before Christmas on a week day evening. Restaurant reasonably busy with a good atmosphere. The service was ok, staff efficient and friendly. The food, however, was awful. Bland and terribly overpriced for what it was. No repeat visit planned.

Really great staff, very welcoming and friendly even though it was very busy. The food was excellent. We will definitely recommend to friends and will visit again.

We had a very enjoyable business lunch in Dorchester. Food was delicious, service was excellent and pricing was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Lovely full English breakfast with juice and coffee. Good way to start a day. Very good value for money and service and ambience very good.

Really nice food but quite small portions. Service charge added. Main server ok but others were a bit surly. I wouldn't normally tip 12.5%. Rating 5.

Lovely food..and wine. French onion soup is favourite and I has salmon, husband steak. Atmosphere good, served well. All cheery..it is just before Christmas so busy. Lemon tart was very good, not too acid. Why do your expressions come in glass...no handle! In France we've always had a small cup.( yes I know we can ask for a cup.

The food was as we have come to expect, very good. My wife is dairy intolerant and the waitress was very kind in helping her choose and making sure that there were no dairy products used in her meal. The rest of the staff were efficient and friendly. Overall a nice atmosphere. I would recommend Cote to friends and family or to any one else

We enjoyed our three courses which came up to your usual standard The atmosphere was very pleasant, warm and comfortable, and our waitress was charming, helpful and efficient.

Excellent food and service will come again although someone from another table walk off with one of our coats hopefully by mistake staff very helpful although stil waiting result

Friendly helpful staff,but they were quiet so hope same service would be offered if busy.Food up to normal Côte standard.Wine waiter helpful .Wife’s 60th Birthday and complimentary drink offered.Food served on wooden board which was not a good idea,knife fell off on to my lap dirtying my shirt

Lovely friendly staff, who took on board that we were a family meeting together in a central place with us all having travelled some distance. They didn't rush us , but were ready with the next course when we were... And kept us supplied with drinks etc. food was of a very high standard and I have some relatives it is hard to please, but I don't think anyone left anything on their plate ! Except me when I couldn't manage the last spoonful on chocolate sauce! Thank you, we will be rerunning for the next family get together! Well done!

Interesting that the Christmas menu was more than the normal menu. Felt slightly more rushed than usual though it was less busy. Don't like the fact that you add the tip to the bill.

Excellent greeting and service as usual here. The food was delicious and paced just right. This is a perfect place for us as it is very close and comfortable.

We met a friend there for Sunday lunch and had Lovely food and excellent service. Portion sizes were good - not too much and not too little. Duck with cherry sauce followed by Chocolate fondant was lovely.

Perfectly cooked steaks. Creme caramel is superb and wonderful bottle of Fleurie. Also my daughter loves the children’s menu.

Good, friendly service and lovely food. We have enjoyed eating at the two Cotes we know of, and our friends enjoy eating at one near them as well.

The food was great as usual but we had to wait a while for our breakfast to be served Nearly ate the confiture which was for display purposes only. Not sure why it's necessary!!!

Another lovely meal at Cote, Dorchester. As it was my birthday I had a complimentary Kir Royale which was a nice treat. Our waiter was very helpful and the food delicious.

Good place for lunch en route to Poole. Cote Brasserie is pretty standard whichever branch you visit but that standard is a good one. Good food and service.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, good food perctly cooked. The chocolate fondant was a melt in the mouth delight with each spponful. Wide choice of dishes.

Food up to standard of other Cotes we have visited. We have some French staff in our usual branch which adds to the illusion of being in a French restaurant which was lacking in this one.

Easy to book on line. Wine at good temperature and lovely staff. Good choice of food, well coooked. No trouble for celiac and help with menus.

As always service first class. We love that even though you can eat exactly the same items from a menu in another Côte restaurant the food always is beautifully cooked. It’s ‘proper’ food. The recipe for chestnut stuffing served with poulet roti could be improved. Chicken though was delicious.

Very good service and food was delicious. One of the party was gluten and dairy intolerant. The food knowledge of our waitress was excellent and it was good to see the Gluten free flag flying in the dishes which reassures you that the Kitchen are on the ball. Very impressive.

Whichever Cote Brasserie you visit the ambience and food is excellent. Dorchester Cote does not disappoint. The staff are really friendly, helpful and put your needs first.

A large party of over 10 and the service was first class. Staff kept calm and gave us good times between courses. no mix ups with food or the bill

Always friendly efficient service we had the mushroom and spinach bake which was delicious. Brewery square here in Dorchester looks amazing with the skating rink

We had an excellent meal tonight. We always enjoy dining at Côte, food is delicious and service very good. Brunch at the weekend is our favourite!

Would have been top marks if waitress hadn't said I had to pay for a small amount of extra tartare sauce. Given that I's brought 5 people and we spent the best part of £200, this was petty in the extreme and I objected strongly.....not about the price, whatever it was going to be, but about the principle. I've never had that even suggested before in any decent restaurant. I couldn't believe it! Common sense prevailed after my objections (after a little while of me making sarcastic comments to the waitress) and she returned, presumably having discussed it with the manager, to say I wouldn't be charged after all.

Another great meal and experience at Dorchester Cote. Staff very welcoming, efficient, attentive and helpful. Another offer for 4 eating before 5pm and free bottle of sparkling wine Cremante! Cannot wait for the next time.....

I always enjoy the pudding course, so being unable to choose between creme brulee and cream caramel, I had both! Each was the best version I've ever tasted - absolutely dreamy.

First class food from the early evening menu; prompt & friendly service. Table allocation as requested. Usual attention to cleanliness; some of the best toilet facilities in town.

Good food as usual, however bill when presented was incorrect twice and had to be rectified. Embarrassing when you have guests... We will return as we like the food and hopefully the bill problem was a one off....

Starters were fine, cassoulet was over cooked as were the green beans! We didn’t complain because we were out with my elderly parents who would have been upset as it was their treat but Côte, the cassoulet special last year was way better than this years dry offering. Service at 12.5% is excessive and staff overdo encouraging you to order drinks which irritates me beyond belief!

First table was by drafty broken door and kindly moved to second table. Tables (round) are generally very small and not fit for four. Staff were great though . Food was good although Spinach tasted way too salty more like seaweed.

We had a lovely evening at your restaurant. The service and food was excellent and there was a happy buzz about the place. Will definitely come back!

Great food, good service and buzzing atmosphere made the whole experience a very special evening. We visit the Dorchester restaurant a few times a month and always have a great meal.

Extremely good service, good food and a wonderful venue-skating rink is being laid down outside and that will make the eating experience even more awesome
