The restaurant was full and there was a good atmosphere but not too noisy, especially for a Friday evening. The food was good and it was nice to have a decent interval between courses (but not too long), as sometimes it feels like you're being rushed. I had the prawn gratinee starter which was lovely, the duck breast main and a fantastic Grand Marnier crepe. Very good coffee after. Only downside was the most expensive rose wine which was OK but not worth the almost £30. Overall very nice indeed.

The restaurant is set in a beautiful old building. The food and service was excellent.

Good as always only problem that there was no pork fillet for the specials menu. I was offered the belly pork as a substitute but it did not work very well.

Good value but welcome could have been better. Premium menu had good choice and was served very quickly, useful if going out afterwards to cinema etc

We had another super evening at Cote Dorchester. The staff, ambience, service and food were excellent as ever. The overall cost for a 3 course meal with wine was very reasonable. We will be back!

As usual the food was very good but there was a hold up in the kitchen which meant we had a wait for our meal

The food was good, the service was awful..I don’t think they bother trying as the gratuity is already included in your bill. Very slow, unattentive, grumpy staff. All the tables crammed in like sardines. Disappointing.

Have been going to Cote in Dorchester since it was opened; always excellent service and excellent food! Certainly have never had a reason to complain.

Incredible! Lovely staff, fantastic food for a fair price. It was my husband birthday and we were given complementary drinks to celebrate. He was also given a complementary dessert.

Always enjoy excellent service and food on the early evening 3 course deal. I particularly appreciate that the red wine is always served at the right temperature to enjoy.

We visit Côte probably once a month mainly in Dorchester or Bournemouth, sometimes for lunch, sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for both! This time it was a convenient place to meet and catch up with friends. Friendly staff, reliable menu and standard bring us back. Today all 4 of us enjoyed our meals.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. It was very full l but the staff were very helpful and attentive. We all had different choices and we were all satisfied with our meals. I will definitely go again.

We have been many times to the Cote in Dorchester and did not find the service as good as usual. We ordered vegetables and initially they did not come with our meals but when they did they were only tepid. Indeed the man courses overall could have been hotter. As far as the veg. were concerned we did complain and the waiter did not charge for them as a gesture of goodwill.

Excellent food and very courteous staff who were very helpful with my gluten free diet. A Great atmosphere we will definitely go again very soon

Having had many meals at the Cote Brasserie we knew what to expect. We both had the fish Parmentier which was very good, hot and tasty. No complaints. The service was good. Venue is good with lots of room, good acoustics.

Cote is easily my favourite place in Dorchester for eating out, either singly or with friends or family. Good food and wine and friendly service are the hallmarks of this branch of Cote. I will keep coming back!

A few small but important things, I lived in France for many years and the first things that happen in a Bistro is that a carafe of water and a basket of fresh bread is placed on the table. We had to ask for bread. I had moules a la crème (not moule mariniers as described). The sauce should be hot, mine was barely warm. I have lunched at Cote with friends and family on many occasions and will continue to do so. The service is excellent and the waitress was charming and attentive without being obtrusive. We were in no hurry so waiting time was not an issue.

Meal was excellent. Staff were friendly and service good. We all had different mains and each were good. The only disappointment for one of our party...... no vanilla icecream!

We went for breakfast on New Year's Eve which was lovely and relaxing before the big event! As always excellent service and a lovely welcome and although it was busy we were really well looked after as always. Happy New Year to all.

Very prompt service, good value for money, and food very good. We ordered from the early evening menu. Good range of choices. Accompanied by areasonably priced bottle of wine.

Nice meal. Try the anchovy flatbread as a pre-starter to share. Really tasty. Scallops, sirloin and frozen berries were all just right. Service on the night was good.

Excellent food, great value, excellent service. Côte in Dorchester, is the best out of all restaurants in Brewery Square, definitely worth a visit, and try the Burger!!

As always, a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant was very busy pre Christmas, but staff were very attentive. The food was excellent, and good choice of menus.

All staff were very helpful and cheerful, especially with our wheelchair using friend. Good facilities for this too. The service was quick. Meals were delicious.

Enjoyed a relaxing and good value meal at Cote, Dorchester. Four of us chose the sea bass which was delicious. The creme caramel was also very good, likewise the iced berries with white chocolate sauce. The bottle of house white was crisp and fruity and good value at £16.95. Pleasant and efficient service. Great English breakfast. Large pot of tea and toast and jam plus a fantastic tasting orange drink. Fantastic value for money plus great service will return.

I had a most enjoyable meal, with a very good steak. The service was also good. I had not eaten at Cote for several months because I did not think that I received good value on that occasion. On tonight’s experience I shall be returning soon.

Really nice food and well-paced, helpful service. Enjoyed our meal there. This year we got crackers which we didn’t have last year. This was nice as there are few Christmas decorations inside the restaurant. Also menu has gone up by £7 since last year. However my meal was just about perfect. The goats cheese starter was delicious. The chicken was a welcome change from turkey, but seemed a Christmassy choice. My dessert was lovely- chocolate fondant pudding. Perhaps would have liked coffee to be included for that price. Will definitely visit again.

Annual Christmas meal with friends. Warm welcome as always. Nice table with a view, and plenty of atmosphere for a lunch time. Lovely food and very nice wine. Staff didn't rush us, service was excellent.

First class meal and good service. We went for the £13.50 menu which had mussels ,coq-au-vin and chocolate pot amongs other things which we found very good.

Service attention a bit insensitive. Choices and presentation off the A la Carte not very imaginative. Default size of a glass of wine seems to be greedy big. Deserts similar. Rather lost the great service good value image from before.
