Delicious Gazpacho followed by mousse du canard with brioche toast. We had two starters as not terribly hungry. I had a glass of French rose but it wasn’t great, which it should be at £8 a glass! Service very good.

Service particularly good. One of the best restaurant chain, Cote is great value.

I had the Breton Fish Stew which was delicious and excellent value. The restaurant seemed short staffed and we waited a long to pay our bill.

Good food, great French menu beautifully cooked. Service a slight tardy but better that than intrusive.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, just a bit noisy at times , but that is because everyone is enjoying their selfs

Waitress /supervisor did not make us feel welcome on arrival and did not smile once. Her tone of voice and whole attitutude was awful. Apparently she had been working since 8am and was still there at 9pm so maybe Cotes should give their staff shorter shifts to make them less miserable. Despite sitting outside a no smoking rule was enforced. An adjacent restaurant yards away did not however enforce this rule and Cotes will lose business because of this.

Regrettably, was not the best meal I have ever had whilst eating out. Starters were ok, although the toasted bread was certainly toasted to the point of unbreakable, forget using a knife! My partner and I both had fillet steak and she stressed that the meat must be really well done as she is not keen on pink meat. All served up - not well done! So, we asked for it to be butterflied as is usual for steak and when it came back it had not been butterflied and was still pink inside - not impressed. the sides were ok, but nothing special and overpriced. Desserts were good, the pavlova was excellent. We had a really nice girl serving us, although, we were approached by other servers at times, which was a nuisance. In summary, very average and adding a 12.5% (admittedly not forced) cover charge is not good as, it is added to the bill automatically and when you are with someone, you are not keen to challenge and make an issue about, so, like most people probably just pay up and keep quiet. This and overall pricing puts into the upmarket category - and Cote is not that. Forgot to mention, long gaps between service, however, that may be deliberate, so, you do not feel rushed...

This was our first visit and certainly not our last! From the greeting to goodbye all the staff were polite, attentive but not intrusive. Food amazing and the surroundings certainly had a French ambience. Thank you Cote Brasserie for a lovely evening.

Cote consistently better than “the rest” on all fronts, really friendly helpful attentive staff. Loved our food as ever and the free cocktail was perfect! We’ve visited several restaurants across the UK and no matter where, the experience is great. Thank you!

Overall we enjoyed our evening. The food was good and for most of the evening the service was quick. The white wine would have been better if it had been chilled. Even though it was put in a bucket of ice it took quite a while to get to a nice temperature. We had thought we'd have a coffee at the end of the meal but once our dessert plates had been removed no-one came near us again so eventually we caught someone's eye & got the bill.

As always our meal was excellent and Calvin the manager was very attentive. Great service & great food.

7 of us for dinner. The food was absolutely fine. Serving our food, they did whip two of the steaks back to the kitchen when I said mine was the medium🤨. I don’t know why but I always leave feeling not very happy with things, the waitress struggled with English, so banter/friendly exchange wasn’t possible as she was so focused on getting the order correct. I’m pleased to leave a tip when service has been above and beyond.... but I feel angry and put out when a 12.5% is added to your bill as if it’s their right 🤬😡😡😡😡 I’ve now tried it several times but I won’t go again.

This visit was fantastic Kelvin and his staff went above and beyond expectations to make our family day special Cannot Fault the staff, Service or food will definitely return.

Friendly atmosphere with a smart outdoor space. Boooked for lunch and the food was very good (lobster). The complimentary gin was appreciated.

Visited on several occasions, the food and service are always very good.

A good thing abote this 'Cote' is that there is no pressure to be out quickly after finishing your meal - at least when it is not busy on the hottest day of the year! The standards here are very good, although rearranging tables and chairs after diners have left was too noisy and for too long.

We were a small party of 9 for my wife’s Birthday. Very attentive service by charming staff. Authentic tasting well presented food. From the moment we arrived the manager Calvin was courteous and helpful - nothing seemed to be a problem. Some of our party are members of a Fine Food and Wine Society - they enjoyed the calamari followed by duck. My Prawnl Gratinée owed by the Chargrilled Poulet 'Breton was ‘as I would be pleased to be served in Brittany. A more than adequate wine list. We enjoyed a lovely evening Calvin ensures that everything runs smoothly. Peter B

Great food and a great service made for a top night.

Absolutely gutted about our visit today, we ordered the calamari and asparagus to start, stunning as usual! Rib eye steak with a surcharge of 2.50 each to be honest it was only worth £2.50 from lidl. Full of fat and returned to the server, who kindly offered something else however we were both put off and didn't want any other main. Ordered creme caramel (beautiful as usual) and peach crumble, was fairly tasteless. 2 beers and a coke. Bill came to £60 for two starters, 2 desserts, 3 drinks. The server did take off the drinks for good will, however it's really put us off returning again, quite gutted as this is my favourite eatery and took two buses to get there. What a let down!

Food top notch without a doubt. Service good but waitress spilled a little hole bottle of coke on my husband. Accident happen I know but it was his birthday.
