Yes it really is that good. Our go-to restaurant both in Dorchester and Exeter - we live in between. As good as it gets - great food and an excellent choice of sensibly priced wine. Cote is a top brand.

We dined on a busy Saturday evening, so we were pleased that we had booked a table. We were quickly shown to our table and were given a complimentary cocktail as part of an offer at the time. The service was good given how busy the restaurant was. The busy restaurant, and particularly a large birthday party, meant that the background noise level was high, which made conversation difficult for me - I'm sure younger people with better hearing would not have noticed. The food was generally very good, but was let down for me by the white wine sauce with the moules which was far too salty to be enjoyed. All the other food was very good.

Very disappointing. Pepper steak was overcooked and way too much pepper! Beef bourginon was not like one I’ve ever had before. To be fair the soup was nice. But overall not a good experience.

The only reason I’ve given it two stars is because of the staff. The service was excellent and the waiters were extremely pleasant. The food however was over priced for what it was my meal in particular was dry - I had a burger and my pudding which was the crepe was so sweet and stodgy it made my mouth go dry.

This visit was to celebrate the16th birthday of our grand-daughter and we all had a very enjoyable meal as usual.

Very welcome cocktail (slightly too sweet for our taste) Delicious Calamari Scrumptious Herb Chicken and sauce Disappointing Artichokes (hard and mistaken for new potatoes) 🤫. Quickly exchanged for potatoes so had no veg other than two cooked spinach leaves. (This is where you lost your point.).... Fabulous Creme caramel. Very good service as always ........I admire how well you cope with so many customers. Very well done indeed 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Lovely meal but I don't like haveing 12.5% gratuity automatically added to my bill. It can be removed but makes you look really stingy. I think it is up to the paying customer to decide if and how much to give.

We went for a birthday meal. The service was great, food outstanding and birthday champagne on arrival dotted with other birthday niceties from the staff made the evening very memorable. Thank you all at Dorchester Côte.

I had a lovely meal here with my wife celebrating her birthday. The ambience was a bit subdued given it was a midweek lunchtime (not a lot you could do about that?). My wife's crepe meal was just as she wanted. I had the fish parmentier and wished it had been highlighted to me that some vegetables or salad with it might be a good idea. Certainly, I wished I'd had some vegetables or a mixed salad with it. Generous chocolate mousse pudding which was plenty for us to share. Excellent selection of wine by the glass, our sauvignon blanc was lovely and just what was needed.

As always, we had a very enjoyable night out at Cote. Faultless!

Yet again we had an excellent night out at Cote.

The food is consistently first class. Today’s menu in particular was excellent and just happened to be my favourite combination (roast vegetables & grilled chicken plus lovely mustard sauce) and what good value. Absolute perfection. What a treat, especially after a nasty medical appointment. Thank you, it’s a bit like being in France.

Cote is our favourite restaurant. As usual the food and service were fantastic. The staff really are superb. Only given 3 stars on this occasion, the reason being was the noise coming from the people on the table behind us. They had obviously failed to realise that there were other people in the restaurant and they were so loud it really was uncomfortable. We had 3 young grandchildren with us but couldn’t hear anything they were trying to say to us! What a shame some people do not consider others when in a public place. It’s all about them !! I hasten to add that we realise cote cannot be responsible for customers behaviour. I am hoping the customers i am referring to might read this review and remember it for next time. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and very impressed they acknowledged our wedding anniversary by providing a free bottle of bubbles and a dessert plate with happy anniversary icing on it ABSOLUTELY OUR FAVOURITE RESTAURANT! We constantly recommend this place keep up the good work!

Another lovely evening spent with friends at Cote Dorchester. The noise levels are horrendous however. Only 6 of us at the table but I could not hear the 2 friends the other end of the table (3 each side). Food always good and served hot! Good value on the 'meal deal' before 7pm.

Haven’t been for a while, nice to see some staff are still here since the branch opened. Lovely to sit outside in the September sunshine, apart from the wasps but that’s life. Enjoyed a relaxed lunch, will be back soon.
