Delicious food cooked perfectly as always! So glad to have them back open after covid. The only, very minor niggle would be the rush of service to speed up the flow of tables and get as many bookings in as possible. We had eaten and handed the bill in under an hour! But still as good as ever! Thank you.

As usual an enjoyably Meal with my family was pleased when the restaurant reopened. We usually only go for special Occasions.

Booked a table for my partners birthday as he loves the Belly pork, we love it here your always treated as though your the only customers in there, the food is always amazing, the staff are always friendly and have a smile and nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely food but little disappointed when they expect the 12% tip and don’t even give you the option even though it says ‘optional’ on the bill.....

Beautifully prepared food complemented by excellent service made for a most enjoyable experience,

Food good, service good. One small observation - I asked for a cold bottle of cider when we arrived - this duly arrived at our table but with a warm glass !!!

Excellent meal, fast and efficient staff, pleasant and comfortable surroundings, our only quibble was that weekend meal costs are significantly higher than weekday costs, but very good food. We will return, but next time it will be on a a weekday.

As with all of our many visits to Cote Dorchester, we had a marvelous time. Very attentive and professional front of house staff and magnificent food served just as it should be with spot on timing from the kitchen, made this special birthday visit quite wonderful, and we could not have wished for or found better. We noticed that all of the other customers, including another three birthday celebrations, received the same level of service. We have rated honestly all headings with 5 stars including the noise level because even with near capacity covers and four birthday crowds we could still have good conversation, and I am a bit deaf! Well done Cote, Dorcheseer!

Quick decision to do late lunch/early dinner. Turned out to be a fine option. Quiet when we arrived at 4pm but great to look at fountains. We must have started a trend as restaurant filled up. Service and food always very good.

Côte is always brilliant wherever we go. the Food, the wine but most of all it’s the staff and Dorchester was no exception Wonderful service

Order taken efficiently. Starters arrived promptly and were very good. Thereafter it went downhill. We waited approx 40 minutes for our main courses. Four of these were steak frites: no garnish other than frites but all steaks were only just warm and, for my liking and one of our group, too rare and very tough. I did mention this to our server and the cost of my meal was deducted from the bill which was a nice gesture. Our post meal coffees were not hot either. We have always had a very good experience at Cote but this was most disappointing.

Exceptional service! Our food was delicious and served quickly, very much appreciated with a small child. No criticism at all. Thank you Dorchester Cote, excellent as always. See you again soon!

Good value set menus for a pre-cinema meal. Excellent service as always. Tasty French influenced food served piping hot. We return here on a regular basis.

Perfect attentive service right from the beginning to the end of our evening, absolutely fantastic food and wine. The onion soup is delicious. Highly recommended 10/10.

It was a pity that they had run out of the pork loin on the prestige menu. I think 12.5 % service charge is too high. Regards Stuart Palmer

Lovely waiter and waitress , every course of the meal was delicious , loved the squash and carrot soup , thoroughly enjoyed as usual . Look forward to our next visit.

We have been to this restaurant many times before but the experience we had last night was below par. There were many new staff who were not the same quality as our previous experiences. They were far less friendly than usual and the dishes were almost thrown on our table rather than placed. The experience was not helped by the fact that we usually go to Cote because we all like our steaks. They only had one sirloin left!! When it came to the bill I noticed that the 4 of us were charged for 5 main courses. Although it was refunded there was very little by way of an apology. It was a great shame because we have had many good evenings there in the past.

Fabulous service and food. Booked for a small intimate family lunchtime celebration and were looked after perfectly. Arrived to find a bubble of bubbly chilling and the table simply decorated .. Staff couldn't be more helpful... Price also very reasonable...and good amount of food with each portion served .. Thanks..

Very disappointed in the service at this restaurant. I had pre booked a certain table weeks ahead for mother’s day in the special requests details and I have spent many times at this restaurant and spent hundreds of pounds in the past going here. Today was a big mistake from when we arrived we were ushered to a tiny cramped table with people seated too close together, the other option we were offered was the seating area we originally requested if we ate quick and got out of the seat for others who had pre booked (allowed to do so due to two more attending) It was a chaotic frenzy with babies screaming, old people coughing and a draft from the main windows by our table. We felt rushed the whole time and what was supposed to be a special occasion was a nightmare dining experience. It completely put me off going here again. I will be writing a review for trip advisor about this experience.

It would have been 6 stars but the mussels were over cooked and bouncy. Other than that, fab!

We were celebrating 2 x 75th birthdays having known each other over 64 years so chose a half way point. We have been to your Chester Branch and Amersham which were delightful and I would say just had the edge on you because of noise. We were lucky enough to get a quieter table but we must expect a huge table to make a noise, it certainly wouldn’t put us off coming again. Food was lovely but my veal was ever so slightly greasy as it cooled but as it was huge it didn’t matter that I left some. I can thoroughly recommend the pancake with Grand Marnier i look forward to another on my next visit

Booked valentines meal in advance on website, at which time no menu had been released. Turned up to meal, shown to our seat and given our menus, when ordering drinks we were told not to turn the menu around as it was only the valentines menu being served. We had not been told this in advance or when we sat, instantly felt really uncomfortable as we were expecting to order our usual favourites and instead were limited to about 6 choices. Kate, our waitress came across rude when turning our menus around for us. This was in no way made clear for us when we booked our meal. Starts came out quite prompt, but then a 40 minute wait in between courses. No explanation, no apology. I understand busy circumstances but it’s common courtesy to make your customers aware of wait times. Enjoyed our desert and then had to wait another 25 minutes just to get someone’s attention for the bill. Again, busy evening, but sat there with no drinks, totally ignored. very disappointing. To top it off, an £8 gratuity charge was added to the bill, and although optional really topped it off for me. This should be the customers choice to add it, not the uncomfortable feeling of asking it to be removed. All in all, we won’t be returning. Bad experience that didn’t leave us talking positively of your restaurant and being in customer service myself, I won’t be talking highly of it to others either.

Food was good though sadly 2 options on the menu which my guests wanted were unavailable. However, the table we were given was horrible as there was a pole in the way & we were seated at the back where there were 3 very large parties & we had a job to talk to each other as it was incredibly noisy.

We often choose Cote as our place to eat in Dorchester as it is consistently very good. We have visited with friends and everyone agrees that Cote is now on their list of places to return to. We used to go to the Cote in Guildford before we moved to Dorset and we were very pleased when the Dorchester restaurant opened.

We are always find the food and ambience excellent in Dorchester. Until they stop putting 12 1/2% service charge on the bill without asking, they’ll never get all stars ticked by me. It’s an arrogant assumption which irritates the hell out of me! Staff are really friendly and helpful but who in these parts gives a tip higher than 10%? Those that shut up and pay up presumably :) The answer is to refuse to pay it and then give a gratuity that you want to give.

We have come here a few times and Everytime I come I ask for my steak to be very well cooked yet the chef still insists on cooking it medium pink and a little bloody..this I cannot stand and it such a shame for a restaurant that does lovely food. Please listen to your customers.. this is why we don't pay the gratitude tip as you just can't seem the grasp what I am asking for.

As always -good food - good service and excellent cuisine - fine dining on an affordable budget - would recommend to all our friends (as long as they take us along with them?)

Booked a table for 6 people to celebrate our daughter's birthday but omitted to tell Cote that it was for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately 2 had to cancel, but the staff were very understanding. When they realised that it was a birthday celebration the three adults were supplied with a complementary glass of prosecco each, and they even gave our 15 year old grand-daughter a specially mixed non alchohlic drink in a prosecco glass. The food, as usual, was superb and we had a very enjoyable time.

An enjoyable meal and evening to celebrate our son's birthday. Food and service were excelent. We were able to choose our table and sat in a far corner away from the doors as past experience has been that there are cold drafts every time the doors are opened. It was still not that warm though.

We are regulars. Most reliable restaurant in Dorchester and staff always efficient and friendly and food as good as you would expect from any Cote. Appreciate the free cocktail offers through the member club!

Ambiance good. Waitress excellent Main course food cold and fish totally over cooked > I did not complain because it was Mother's Day and it was not appropriate to break into the celebration I am sorry to report food (main courses) on previous visits have also been cold

Enjoyable dining on a quiet afternoon We were shown to our table and quickly organised with our complimentary cocktails. Our orders were taken soon after. The food was delicious and very HOT Rare (pun ?) to find steak tartare on menu but it was perfect, in fact the best that I have eaten. Our mains were just as good Service was efficient and polite. Good customer service

Always a great experience at Cote Dorchester but on this occasion the service was very slow, some of the meals were incorrect and the Chateaubriand was incredibly tough. When we discussed this with the waitress we were told that the feedback regarding the Chateaubriand would be given to the Regional Manager and that was that!

Excellent food and great service as always and birthday drink and pudding for the birthday girl was much appreciated....Irene
