Everything first class. Food, drinks, manager, and especially a very good waitress who helped to make the lunch. Overall a very enjoyable experience and day.
We were late and so in a rush before a show, but the understanding waiters, super-fast service and impeccable quality of the food were exemplary.
We often go to Cote as the food is consistently good and the waiters are always polite and the service is always friendly. We will continue to be regulars at Cote.
This really isnt the best of the usually reliable chain. They were very busy but even so the service and food were mediocre. I will avoid this branch in future
Unfortunately there were no cooking facilities available when I arrived and the menu was therefore extremely limited and so had to abandon lunch. Shame because Cote is usually very good.
I would normally give Cote top marks. We have never had a bad experience at one of their restaurants. However on this occasion the service was not up to its usual standard and the main course was not as hot as it could have been. We ended up rushing due to the time taken to bring food. Will be back as we LOVE their food but hope for better service next time.
Great service- we were on our way to a matinee performance so time was critical to us - and delicious, as ever, food! Staff were helpful, seated us straight away and somehow must have prioritised our order, which was served in quicksticks! Thank you, Cote, for another lovely Lunch!
Friendly, upbeat, well served, good food, decent value and enjoyable. A lively atmosphere, well spaced tables and we were swiftly seated (chairs with arms, as requested) by a window with glass of champagne in hand.
We had a lovely evening at Cote Covent Garden - staff so very polite and helpful - meal was great - I would highly recommend
The 3-course lunch has a wide menu and provides unbelievable value for such high quality food. The wine list is equally attractive. And the service was excellent.
Really nice place ,made very welcome, the food was good and the prices reasonable. Wlll definitely return , it is essential to book as it's very busy pre theatre
The staff were friendly and served great food . There was a good selection to choose from on the menu. I would recommend this restaurant.
Everyone was really nice and accommodating and they helped my friends surprise me for my birthday. Great food and lovely staff! Definitely will come back.
Waited one and a half hours for our main meal. The reason given was that the kitchen lost the order slip. Food was only eventually delivered after the manager intervened. This ruined our meal because we then had to rush our main course to leave in time to reach our theatre booking. No time for dessert course or coffee.
Another great meal at a Cote Brasserie, food and service were excellent. It was our daughter's birthday and they brought her a little treat, it's the extra touches which make the difference.
Again another great evening. Very friendly & helpful staff. Food as always delicious, very well cooked & delivered efficiently & with good humour. Thank you, we shall be back soon
They didn't get me the table I asked for !!!! Stuck us right near the door and my mum was cold ! I specifically asked for a nice table near the window and they gave us the worst seat in the house ! Food and service was good as usual
The food and service were excellent and the set menu was excellent value with a good range of options and made it worth visiting Cote.
We had a great meal before the theatre- the food was delicious and the service was excellent. There was nothing more we could ask for and will certainly go there again.
service and food were very good, will be oing back soon. . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Very Central for pre theatre dinner always very busy and like all the Cote chain the Al La Carte menu could do with an update.
Really enjoyed the food. We went there and had food for the pre theatre selection. Really good value for £13 we got a lot of food
Lovely meal and excellent customer service. We both had the ribeye steak which was superb ordered some sides of vegetables as well which were cooked perfectly.
Table which was prebooked was ready on arrival. Very attentive service. Excellent three course meal at a very reasonable price for Central London. Looking forward to our next visit.
Our experience at Cote, as always, was a success, great food, and even though it was at a busy pre-theatre time, great service. Will certainly return again.
Good atmosphere. Food was excellent. The three of us had different dishes for each course and all were excellent. It was my Australian relatives first visit to Cote despite having been in London over a year and she really enjoyed the experience.
We appreciate that this is a busy London restaurant, however the tables offered now on two occasions for 5 & 6 persons were really too small to accommodate our party. The restaurant service again perhaps due to the volume is very slow. The one disappointment on this occasion was that the camembert cheese main dish some of us looked forward to was already unavailable at 4.15 on a Saturday afternoon! Having said this we normally rate Cote high on our preference.
A more tranquil restaurant in the chain - friendly staff, nice food as usual and a stone's throw from bustling Covent Garden market. A pleasant experience.
As usual a really good pre- theatre meal, excellent Waiter from Lithuania, most attentive and served us well. Only adverse comment tables so close together, sometimes this can be an advantage and interesting conversations can be struck up, but not this time !!! slightly more breathing space would be appreciated by this loyal Diner!!!!!!!
Sadly there was a problem with the kitchen and my guests did not want any of the few things available on the menu so we left. Staff were very apologetic.
Good service good food good value but just a bit noisy. Overall a very pleasing experience and would definitely go again when the opportunity arises.
Excellent food and service. You feel special when you dine at this restaurant. Calm atmosphere and a great location for theatre land. Would definitely eat there again.
Excellent food and service on a Sunday night in this restaurant. Really tasty French cuisine and some delicious wines. A really buzzing and enjoyable evening.
A quality offering in Central London at a very reasonable price. Difficult to beat given the location and highly recommended if you want decent and interesting food without paying an arm and a leg. Dropped one mark on the score because always slow to provide bill. Hint - ask for it when you order dessert or coffee.
I very much like Cote but today the whitebait was off the menu and we did have to wait longer than usual to be served.
Shown to lovely table straight away. Friendly staff, good food which in my opinion all adds up to a great experience. Have visited here before & it never fails to disappoint.
The restaurant was very busy at time of visiting - staff excellent though they could probably do with a little more help at busy times.
On arrival staff were very welcoming & friendly which continued during our stay. Food was very good & we enjoyed our dinner before going to the theatre.
Affordable central London restaurant with good service. Slight mix-up with Gluten Free order - was quickly resolved. Would return again if in the Covent Garden area.
Its in a great location near to the buzz of covent market & tube station. Its a very busy resaurant due to pre theatre goes. The food & staff are lovely.
Atmosphere and buzz was great. Food tasty although starter was warm rather than hot. Did feel a little rushed that they want you in and out quickly. Good service.
We always choose Cote because the food, the staff and the service are excellent. This branch is very convenient for theatres and the Rewards scheme is a bonus.
Arrived at 14. 15, as booked in advance, for a meal prior to going to the Royal Opera House for a performance at 16.00. Didn't seem to be very busy - plenty of tables available unlike when we book for a n early evening meal. Service was slow from the start and at first that was not a matter of concern as we had allowed plenty of time. Waiter was however unsmiling and surly when we declined wine - not wanting to fall asleep in the theatre. We waited ages for each course and two of the meals were cool by the time they arrived, but by now it was getting too late to complain. We had to find the waiter for the dessert menu which was given with bad grace, but at 15.40 had to ask for the bill and decline the puddings which were rushed up the stairs by the manager who tried to persuade us to eat them. We had ordered chocolate pot, Creme caramel and berries- so why on earth it took so long to produce them, heaven only knows. We had by now made it plain that we were attending a theatre performance but there didn't seem to be any understanding that you will not be admitted once a performance has started - and you are serving meals in an area surrounded by theatres. Manager realised they had been careless and offered us free desserts on the next visit. Realise now that we also paid the 'voluntary 'service charge which was not in the least deserved. This is a system we deplore but reluctantly accede to when food, service etc is excellent as it generally is at this restaurant. Given the fact I had booked for the three of us several days in advance, the experience was a shambles and we arrived for the performance feeling rushed, and having no time, either to deposit coats in the cloakroom so we sat with them bundled aroun us in a hot auditorium, or to enjoy the pre- performance atmosphere, or to reserve interval drinks. I would also add that two of us are well past the first flush of youth so prefer not to have to rush. Very disappointing, Cote, particularly when we have tended to prefer you from the many restaurants around.
Fab food & fab freindly service. And we got to theatre in time. Great value for the money. Will go again & again & again.
I love this restaurant - great location and great welcome. Food is always good and I always try to find a Cote restaurant as a first choice wherever I find myself. Sometimes gets very noisy - but that's the customers, not the restaurant!
Excellent attentive service and varied menu. The pre theatre deal is outstanding value for money with a good choice. The house wine is fine and reasonably priced
Food was very good and excellent value. Chose the house rose wine again exceptional value for the price. It was a busy time of day but food was served in good time. Staff friendly. The ladies toilets were cramped and one cubicle not particularly clean.
Made a reservation for 6pm, but there were 3 couples ahead of us queuing for tables who had also made reservations. Got table by 6.30
This restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly even though our visit was on a really busy Saturday evening. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was really lovely. This is the second time we've been to a Cote Brasserie - the other time was in Sloane Square. Both had a different feel about them so it wasn't like you were eating in a 'chain' restaurant. We wont hesitate in booking again
Great atmosphere, good tasty food well presented and happy staff. We were with our friends made very welcome, which made for a most enjoyable evening together.
