Lovely helpful staff, nice ambience and excellent food as always. The speedy menu is super - we were a part of four and there was something for everyone. Also speedy service.

Our first experience at Cote, which we very much enjoyed. The choices in each course was excellent, the quality of the food and the presentation also excellent , as was the service. one very small issue , space was limited due to tables being very close. understandable given the number of customers ,I guess. But it will not stop us from returning .

We were late and they gave away our table so we waited 20mns in the doorway (with my mum, 85), had 40 minutes to eat.

Excellent service by a very friendly staff. In case of a pre-theatre dinner speed is essential, and the service lived up to expectation. Food, all three courses were delicious and wine was served at the right temperature.

Wish they would get the order right first time - one of the party eat her meal when the rest had finished! Otherwise good atmosphere and good value for money food.

I love this restaurant. I have eaten there many, many times and I have never had a poor meal there. The lunch/pre theatre menu is excellent value. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cote, Tavistock Street to anyone.

It was, as ever, very crowded, but our waiter was charming and helpful. The food was good, of course, but that was the reason for going there.

Aperitif brought after first course. Steak frites good but plates cold. Took three attempts to get mayonnaise despite waiter offering it. Felt hurried, compared with other Cotes this was not one I would choose.

The fixed price menu is good value for central London. We had a three course meal for four with a bottle of wine for under £90 including service. The food was well presented and the service unobtrusive.

My daughter and I had a very pleasant meal last evening after a matinee at the theatre. I am a regular at Tavistock street and always find the staff happy and helpful and the food is very good. Adele

Very busy and buzzy restaurant. Food good and friendly service on the many occasions we have dined here. Recommend for pre or post theatre dining or if just strolling in Coventry Garden.

Top class food and value. Very professional staff. Lively atmosphere. Great dining. Amazing vfm for central London. But that's typical for other central London cote venues and why they are so popular.

The food was great, the service excellent but there were really too many tables and we felt hemmed in by other diners. And staff had problems navigating around tables.

We reserved a table for 2 for 1.15pm, got there at 1pm and only had to wait about 5 minutes to get our table. The menu is great, do ask for Pre-Theatre or Weekly Lunch/Early Dinner Menu (depending on where you are, it's the same menu but called differently) as they offer 2 or 3 courses for exceptional price. We ordered all 3 courses at the same time, which might have been a mistake - we got our starters (overly delicious, really great!) and then waited 30 minutes before our server went down to the kitchen and realised they must have not seen our order. We did get offered free drinks on the house as compensation, which was great. Mains were again good food, but we waited an extra 10 minutes on our dessert due to the kitchen having not seen that either - which got us a coffee/tea on the house each. So overall great food, decent portion sizes for the price and amazing customer service - only next time we wouldn't mind getting the food quicker.

Greeted at the front door with a smile and quickly shown to our table. The waiter Arnas was very good and attentive. Wine was great as was the starter, dinner and dessert. A most enjoyable dinner. Have already planned to meet friends there again in just over a week.

Great value for money, excellent and attentive service. Ordered pre-theatre and food was timed excellently considering we were there at the busiest time. Well situated for theatres so perfect find - the steak and frites is just the best I've had outside France!

Was heaving due to the pre-theatre crowd, and despite booking we were bundled into a distant corner despite other tables being available. Service was sloppy, the waiter not paying much attention. Food was tasty, but not the best visit to Cote.

At Cote the food is excellent and very good value, and the service usually quick and efficient, but on this occasion everything went wrong. The Tavistock Street restaurant was very busy and had no record of our booking made weeks before, but fortunately managed to find us a table. The service was so slow that it took 40 minutes before our starter arrived - even though we were having the "quick" pre-theatre menu! - and then the main course was brought when we'd only just been given the starter! Because we were going to the theatre we consequently did not have enough time for dessert. We were given a complimentary coffee, and not charged for an additional vegetable. Cote needs to focus on resolving these issues rapidly if it is to retain its reputation and customers.
