Food always good at Cote and staff always very friendly. This location is very good for Covent Garden and several theatres. Service very quick despite being very busy.

First time I've been disappointed with the food at this restaurant. The lettuce, bacon, walnut and egg starter was satisfactory but would have been much improved if the bacon had been freshly cooked rather than being cold and looking like it had been sitting around for a while. The main of chicken baguette was disappointing; only three strips of chicken, sparse salad and a rock hard baguette that was inedible.

No recognition or welcome was offered considering the booking was made through Cote loyalty program. Food and atmosphere were good and waitress was attentive to our table.

Crowded place - but loads of pre theatre atmosphere. Cheerful and attentive service plus the usual Cote consistency with food production. Nice glass of house Rhone - benefitted from good turnover I would expect. Fruity and not stale. Pre theatre menu excellent and tasty and swift. Will go again.

Excellent meal and superb service... even though the restaurant was crammed to the rafters! Yes, we arrived just before EVERYONE was heading to the Theatre.

As outstanding quality and value as ever. We come here every time we go to the theatre in London and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended!

Very enjoyable early evening dinner. When the restaurant is full it's quite noisy and the tables are placed very close together, but the food is consistently good.

Good food and great service. Pleasant table. A bit noisy but generally a convenient and good value for money venue. Cote's consistency of standard is remarkable and their lunch menu cracking value. Sensibly priced and very drinkable house wines.

Loved it, great service and amazing food at a great price! The food came super quick and although they messed up one of the dishes (gave us the wrong one) they quickly corrected their mistake and brought the right dish.

Exceedingly poor customer service - table in the cellar (far too hot in this weather) order wrong and main course arrived after everyone else on the table had finished theirs. AnneMarie the table host tried her best - however the 'manager' Marcos frankly ignored the situation and made matters worse. I paid (reluctantly - they did take off a few drinks) but frankly the bill should have been zero - I shall be taking this up with their MD. As regular Cote patron this was NOT a good experience. They can and should do better.

Ate after watching a show at nearby theatre. Took in excess of 30 minutes to get 2 plates rapide which seems rather ironic. Brasserie was not busy at the time. My butterfly chicken breast definitely had the texture of a dish that had been lying under the hot lamps, then had a fresh sauce and chips applied. Other than that the service was good and attentive. I would certainly use this Cote again if in that area of theatre land

My party had a lovely pre-theatre meal. It was a warm evening but the restaurant was nice & airy. Our waiter treated us very well & the food was excellent & very good value. We all chose from the Pre-theatre menu. We will definitely book again.

Problems with electricity on a rainy mid week evening. Lighting would come on full and then rapidly fade to candle light. A bit hypnotic by the end of the evening!

This is a regular place for me and my friends to eat. The quality of the food is always consistent and the service likewise. Choice is good too. On the last occasion, we arrived half an hour early and although the restaurant was v. busy, we were fitted in albeit with a time constraint, which was suitable. Keep it up!

Booked for 5.15pm but got there at 5.00pm. We had the 3 course pre theatre menu which had plenty of choice for £13.95. We didn't feel rushed at all and service was very efficient. We left at 6.45pm and the place was full with more queuing for a table. Very enjoyable and Beautiful at the Aldwych theatre was brilliant.

I have been to Cote Tavistock Street several times. I like Cote overall but this one has gone down the pan. Last time the boiler or heating had broken. I was told I might get some compensation but nothing happened. This time it was rushed, chaotic and the food was poor quality. My asparagus was practically uncooked and the chicken had just the meanest bit of gratin potatoes with it. Not worth the cash and there is a lot of competition around in Covent Garden so I am afraid I shall be changing to another restaurant next time I go to Covent Garden.

We had dinner here before going to the theatre. There were two different menus, a a pre-theatre set courses menu and the regular menu. Half our party ordered from one and half the other. The food and value was excellent and the staff were professional and the service was brilliant. We would definitely visit again.

Friendly staff, food served hot and freshly prepared and good value pre-theatre menu. Chef should be more meticulous with the preparation of fish dishes as we found bones (more than 1) in our starters of smoked mackeral rillettes.

Consistently serves up french classics to a high standard. Good ambience with courteous professional staff. Particularly like the light two course lunch menu that provides the opportunity for a good weekday lunch without the need for an afternoon nap.

The food was enjoyable. The wine disappointing - very limited choice of dry white wine by the glass. Although we were seated in an alcove, it was extremely noisey - I know it is difficult and the restaurant was ful- disappointing as we only meet occasionally.

Nice meal, staff very friendly. Our visit included complimentary glasses of prosecco., the offer being clearly shown to the waitress when ordering. However when bill received the prosecco was included on the bill. The amount was removed when pointed out so no problem, but that sort of thing always makes me wonder, "genuine mistake" or ??????

Staff friendly and helpful despite being very busy. Food good. Minor criticism - long wait for main course which, since we had booked for a matinee performance, we were unable to have desert or coffee. Waiter aware of situation and very apologetic. Cote still the most reliable and used restaurant for us.

Myself and a friend went for a meal after going to a matinee on Saturday afternoon, knowing the restaurant would be busy we pre booked a table for 5.30pm. And despite the fact the restaurant was extremely busy, the waiting staff were extremely attentive, the food and service was up to the excellent standard I have come to expect at this branch of cote. I was quite sad to learn that many of the regular waiting staff that I have come to know over the last four years as a regular customer at this branch of cote are leaving, and I do hope the new waiting staff that are replacing them, will be an improvement on our experience of last week when it appears the regular waiting staff were off duty. I think the upper management need to keep a close eye on the service because restaurants can lose their excellent reputation overnight by poor service.
