Food was delicious - cold tomato soup and seafood pasta. As ever, staff very helpful and friendly. Queues were out the door when we left - no wonder!!
A restaurant in a great location serving delicious French food by welcoming, efficient & friendly staff. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and would visit again.
Always dependable. Excellent food and extremely good value for money. The pre theatre menu is especially good. Very popular - so do need to book in advance
Good food and friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant was very busy but the staff worked very hard. Food was good value for money and we enjoyed our visit
On a very hot day and a completely full restaurant, the staff were brilliant. It must have been pretty awful for them, but you would not have known it - except for the inevitable damp patches on their shirts! Given the heat and the fullness of the restaurant, the quality of the food was very good and the service quite rapid enough. The branch passed a considerable test with flying colours.
Extremely busy place, but the waiters coped remarkably well with the pre-theatre rush. Food was lovely, and particularly good value. We regret not having had time for dessert
A very good level of service, with helpful waiters. good food for lunch. as expected! very convenient for Royal Opera House, and other theatres. not too crowded.
Speedy & attentive & fast service. Food choices excellent & tasty & hot. Buzzing ambience & close to theatre for show. Highly recommended for all round enjoyment.
Consistently good food. Menu changes every month and always a good variety on offer. Reasonably prices wines and very good value for money. Service slow at busy times.
The food was good but the service slow and although one waitress was good the others came across as arrogant and/or surly. I realise this restaurant is in the middle of a tourist area but the service in the other branches is considerably better - e.g. Hays Galleria. Also there was only 1 bottle of cold beer as there was a problem with the fridge - there are ways round this.
Very busy restaurant but great atmosphere. Always good vfm. Service a bit slow but not a problem as we had lots to talk about. Menu choice and quality of food very good.
Excellent food and attentive service. Speedy, needed for pre-theatre without feeling rushed. Staff responded to requests promptly and helpfully, but the star of course must be the food, which was most enjoyable.
Excellent variety of food cooked well. Prompt service from friendly staff. We like that the menus change on a monthly basis, always something new to look forward to. Well Done. Sheila
The staff were excellent, friendly and served us well. The tables are extremely small and difficult to negotiate, people behind us couldn't move chairs without us moving ours. Service a little slow but I understand central London in the lunch hour is extremely busy. Food really good but coffee way too strong.
It was as always very good pre theatre , set menu, quick service tasty food, good choice on set menu or a la carte if you prefer
An attracive restaurant in a popular London area. Immediate attention from staff. Excellent meal and wine at a reasonable price. Will definitely recommend to friends and look forward to my next meal in Côte Tavistock Street.
Excellent food, service and value - as always. Great choice for pre-theatre menu and have never been let down. Many thanks to the team x
The food was good (as always). The service a little slower than usual. But my guests and I enjoyed ourselves. We know that Cote can always be relied upon.
Good food and service. Monthly menus offer a good range of options for each course. Vibrant ambience yet not noisy. No pressure to rush and release table. Excellent value for money.
We were 10 mins early had to wait for table - that's ok - very busy - drinks took a while to arrive and I had to ask for my prebooked rewards drinks but waitress good and food excellent
Our visit to Cote in Tavistock Street was great from start to finish. The staff were efficient and very pleasant and the food excellent. We all thought it was excellent value too.
As usual very pleasant service. Helpful and courteous. Our meal was served quickly and efficiently which was good as we were going to the theatre. Can always rely on a good, value for money deal at Cote.
Positive: Lovely food, lovely staff, theatre menu good value and plenty choice. Not so positive: Hot day and no air conditioning so rather uncomfortable and only one toilet working for ladies.
Brilliant location right in the heart of Theatreland. Fast courteous service for Pre-Theatre meal. Lovely food and well presented. An ideal restaurant to visit soon!!
Food excellent, extremely good value for money and service is very good always extremely helpful if you want to change something would also recommend cote to a friend.
very poor service and slow service plus the incorrect bill was given twice. We knocked off the service as so poor. Disappointed as a great fan of Cote.
Been here on several occasions & find the menu varied & interesting. More importantly, the staff are always friendly & helpful, regardless of how busy the place gets ....... & it does get very busy. Thoroughly recommend this branch.
V good food and lots of atmosphere. Service as good as it possibly could be given how busy the place was. Perfect location just yards away from the theatre.
The food and service were very good. The only downside is that it was exceedingly noisy, though this is understandable for a full restaurant in Theatre-Land.
Excellent service, although it was very busy with pre-theatre diners, we did not have a long wait and when the food did arrive, it was superb. Very friendly staff and would return along with recommending this restaurant to my friends.
Very, very busy before theatre start times but staff were happy, quick and efficient. Would come again - If you want to eat between 5pm and 7pm you MUST book or you'll be waiting for ages.
The experience was spoilt when it came to the end of the meal. The service during the meal was very good, and the food was excellent. Having finished, we had to ask for the bill 3 times, and it took half an hour before we got to pay. Very disappointing end to what was otherwise an excellent meal.
I have visited this restaurant before. Never disappointed by food or staff. On this occasion, the staff member (unfortunately, I cannot recall her name: blonde, short hair tied back) was a delight. I was dining with someone whom I had not seen for some time: she, with good humour, accepted our slight delay in ordering initially; totally charming throughout.
Visit here regularly and always find speedy service and great value for a pre-theatre meal. Lovely last night as warm enough to have all the windows open and we were lucky enough to be by them.
Very slow service for a pre theatre menu but let us come back after the show for our desserts! And gave us free drinks, So happy with that.
Nice staff. Great Food. With a Cheap and more than acceptable Menu. It is Difficult to find a better place in the centre of London.
Food and service were excellent as always at a Cote Brasserie. My only negative comment would be that tables at this particular venue seem very close together and the noise level very high. However my guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our pre-theatre lunch, despite having to almost shout at each other!
Have booked here a few times as it is a great location if you are attending the shows in the theatres around it. Staff are excellent and we always have great service.
Had a lovely meal on a hot summers day. The restaurant was buzzing with lots of diners and yet still felt waiters were attentive. Food was superb!
The food, as usual was xcellent, the staff efficient and very friendly, it was our grandsons birthday, they produced a cake and all sung to him. Love Cote
Yet again, another great visit to Cote. And so wonderful to have our table in the alcove. Another super meal wth friends and family. Thank you so much, yet again.
Absolutely fantastic - lovely food and great setting. Would recommend getting the gratin with anything as it is that good. Staff were helpful and polite. Perfect evening meal.
Arrived early but they found a table for us quickly. Food came very soon after being ordered. Food consistently good as it always is at Cote. Staff very efficient and polite.
Friendly and attentive service. Went for a pre-theatre dinner and were served promptly and efficiently. We ordered a la carte and the dishes were as described and good value. The portions were just right. There was a good vegetarian menu for the non meat-eater among us. Would recommend this for pre-theatre visits.
A fantastic pre theatre dinner before we walk over the road to 42nd Street. But you MUST pre book!!!! A thoroughly enjoyable evening for all.
Great service and lovely food, not too expensive and perfect for pre theatre dinner. No waiting time for food and we were sat down immediately even though we were 15 mins early.
Food was great. The only problem is that the restaurant was very crowded and the waiters very busy. We had to rush our dessert to get to the theatre.
Booked pre theatre menu on a Wednesday evening with my husband for 6pm. I arrived a little late & the restaurant was almost full - very busy! Seems like the pre theatre menu is very popular! I ordered the tuna starter & my husband ordered the crab & avocado. We shared & preferred the tuna. For main, I ordered the veggie risotto & my husband ordered the steak frites. I found that the mains were better than the starters however, all food was good for the price - 2 courses for £12.50. The service was good - our waiter cleared plates away promptly & brought extra bits when asked. There was a nice buzz in the restaurant as it was so busy. Toilets could have done with a bit more attention - there was no loo roll but thankfully, there were napkins by the sink. All in all a good dinner for the price but nothing wow. Would definitely revisit if I had a show to go to in the evening again because of the convenience & price.
Excellent service enjoyable lunch, impressive crab and avocado starter, followed by steak with bearnais sauce, we were very impressed with the wine list and selected a bottle of Bordeaux. Good value
Great food and service. Very friendly staff. Good value menu and quick service if you are going to the theatre. Thank you for a great meal!
