On a busy Sat evening we were pleased with the service and friendliness of the staff. Our meals were very good and we were in good time for 42nd St. Many thanks
Poor service over one hour before our food arrived also ordered an aperitif that arrived with our starter not the usual service standard don’t think I will go back
Although a regular Cote user I had not visited this restaurant before. Pleased to say excellent food was supported by excellent and friendly service. Although very busy our waiter made plenty of time for us.
We had a very enjoyable pre-theatre meal at Cote Covent Garden - Tavistock Street. The pre-theatre set menu offers a good choice of options and the food was well prepared and tasty. We were not hurried to finish our meal and the service was good.
Really good meal. Excellent service. Took one mark off as the eggs in our Eggs Benedict were cold by the time they traced our table
Great food as always from Cote, but an "awkward" restaurant, with tables far too close together. If you like noisy hustle & bustle this Cote is for you, otherwise plenty of quieter options in the area.
Good table and very helpful staff, despite it being a busy lunchtime and the food was served in good time and we felt was good value
Food seemed a little dry and didn't represent good value for money, I frequent Cote regularly, so will put this down to a one-off experience.
Disaster from start to finish - as soon as we walked through the door it started. Not nice at all. It was rescued 'sort of' by whom I assumed was the restaurant manager at the end, but this was my worst experience at a Cote restaurant - ever. And I have also visited Cote in other cities and enjoyed the food as well as the attitude of the staff. Food here was Okm and our actual waiter was OK - but our order went to someone else, but that's another story.
Good value, good food and great atmosphere. Table was a little cramped for 9 people but it was a Saturday night in Covent Garden. Staff were polite but seemed rather stressed.
It was packed but we were taken straight to our table. The service was quick and the food quality excellent Menu and wine list was very good
A good value meal from the set menu made better by the offer one guest's meal being free following on from receiving an offer from Cote via email.
The restaurant was super busy as it's a pre-theatre dinner location. However, we were seated promptly, and the food and service was excellent. The Breton fish stew was simply amazing.
The service was amazing, it was packed out but we were served quickly and it was never in doubt that we would get to the theatre on time.
Very busy and table booked wasn't ready for 15 mins BUT we were treated to bread and a glass of bubbly each and two apologies and food and service were excellent!
Great service and really nice food, with a good choice of dishes. We were given a quiet table, as we requested. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent lunch. Staff were great. Table brilliant - I had requested a reasonably quiet one if at all possible. Can’t fault it. Thanks for making it a really good occasion.
The meal was good as usual and the service attentive and helpful but the bill was wrong as we were charged with two alcoholic drinks which should have been included in the meal price. All refunded quickly and amicably but one should not have to check!
Pre theater meal great value at 3 courses for £22.95.Great atmosphere and staff excellent.Food was extremely good and well presented.A great place to eat before or after a show.
Good French food - fast! Perfect for pre theatre and delicious glass of Pinot noir to accompany it. 🍷😀 Staff were friendly but a little forgetful on the details like bringing mayonnaise in time to eat with your food 😂
Cote always delivers on food , service and quality for reasonable prices ! I had the Breton Fish stew and it was excellent ! Happy Customer :)
Excellent service at the best table in the house - the corner window. Excellent food. Great value for money. Lovely welcoming ambience with a happy buzz throughout
Post theatre menu not offered and when we asked it took a longer than usual time to be found and most choices were no longer available, despite us arriving at Côte immediately after the show finished at the theatre directly opposite the restaurant i.e. Why were the food choices so depleted?
Good Food, good service, good value. No requirement for the 25 word limit. A A A A A A A A A A A A
Staff here are curt and brisk, shoving menus at you. The bill was slapped on my table without a word. To be fair, the food was great as usual - the main reason why I return to Cote time and again. However, I was really disappointed with the service at this outlet today.
No note of phone call to change from 4 to 5 people. Some given different pre theatre menus - Xmas or Nov and very confusing Food bland
We always visit this restaurant when we go to London to visit the theatre. Yet again we had a great meal with excellent service and of good value. We will be back.
Great restaurant in a fabulous location. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Lovely food. The pre-theatre menu was great value and included a glass of Kir Royale.
Absolutely brilliant—as usual.staff and food exceptional atmosphere was really good and we came out having had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We just live cote and you never disappoint.
Overall a good experience, the food was excellent, service was quick and efficient even though the restaurant was very busy, although there was a slight problem with the bill.
Very busy at 1.00 pm for mid-week lunch. People who hadn't booked were being turned away. The waiting staff were attentive and the food was great and served on piping-hot plates. Couldn't fault it. Just one point taken off as it was (inevitably perhaps) quite noisy.
Traditional French menu. Delicious food and very good value. Good service too. The downside was a ladies loo with only two cubicles, and one was out of order.
Excellent quality of food - rib eye steak melted in your mouth and we were even offered a complementary glass of wine when ordering from the Christmas set menu. Only drawback was that we were charged for it! However this was taken off when brought to the attention of the waitress. Great restaurant in a good position for the theatres, we have been here before and will come back again
Good food and wine at great value, with friendly and attentive service. Only downside was the noise - too much echo bouncing off wood floor and bare walls in a very busy restaurant. Difficult at times to hear ourselves speak.
Crowded and noisy, but food was up to our usual high expectations. It's a pity the waiter slopped coffee over the table and one of the guests, and more so that no offer was made to reduce the bill to reflect this mistake. A rare hiccup at our favourite mid-range restaurant chain.
Great food great service great atmosphere An all round perfect experience after seeing a wonderful Play at the theatre Well done everyone involved Thanks a lot
Great food, great service, great value for money, great atmosphere! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Perfect location for theatre - goers. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it there 😊
We were a table of 4 for dinner. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted in a friendly manner. We were shown directly to our table by the window. Very nice food, service and atmosphere. The menu remains very stable, but the quality consistency is always very good. Overall, a very enjoyable enjoyable evening.
Out of the rain into a cosy, well managed bistro. It was packed on Saturday, but we had booked before our matinee around the corner. The service was slick, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was a perfect start to our afternoon. couldnt fault Côte, always reliable.
We had a most enjoyable evening with good food.We were impressed when offered a free drink when our table was not ready. We would go again
Very nice service and excellent food. I use this restaurant whenever I'm in London and am never disappointed - we had a very enjoyable lunch and the house wine is really good. I've only rated it 5 and not 6 because the noise level is very high and occasionally it's difficult to hear what one's companion is saying - would be good if something could be done about that, and the stairs to the toilets are very steep.
Great place and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Service was good too and food delivered quickly, particularly given how busy the place was. Only slight issue was the toilets being in the basement, very close to the kitchen and accessed by narrow stairs and corridor which meant bumping into waiters/waitresses bringing up food. Otherwise absolutely loved it!
Service efficient and friendly. Food always good. A most pleasant experience which will be repeated. I do not think I need to go on at any length.
A very pleasant lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The service was fine, the food excellent. Bound to be our first choice next time we are out on the town.
We always book this Cotes when we are going to the Theatre the meals are always delicious service excellent all round good place to eat.
Prompt and efficient service. Helpful staff. Good food. Nice atmosphere. The steak was especially tasty and accompanying vegetables well cooked. Always a reliable place to eat before or after theatre.
As a regular at this branch of cote I was pleasantly surprised by the new Christmas set lunch menu, we went for an early lunch before going to the theatre for a matinee and decided upon the set lunch menu we both had the French onion soup to start which was excellent followed by the salmon, although more expensive than the usual set menu i.e over £26 per person including service, I think perhaps a bit overpriced as you can have almost the same items from the ale carte menu at the same price. As always the service was exemplary.
Food very good and prompt service. Very noisy! One complaint - there were three of us. Two paid by card and I paid by cash requiring £1 change which was not brought back to me. This has happened before. It should not be taken for granted that change is not required. It was only a pound but we were in a hurry to get to the Opera House so I did not challenge it. This is a bad policy and should be mentioned to staff as it is not good practice.
Service very slow. No time for dessert or coffee as going to theatre. Soup not hot enough......no bread served with it. Very average, unlike previous experiences there.
From beginning to end this was a delightful experience. We had three courses each, five different dishes between us, and each was delicious and beautifully presented.
