I have always liked Côte for its excellent menu and friendly staff - Côte Covent Garden was no different. There were so many courses I could have had making it hard to choose. The staff were always willing without making you feel pressed which helped to make a nice atmosphere - if a little noisy, as in most restaurants on a busy weekday lunchtime.

Excellent friendly prompt service. Good food selection. Understood our need to be at the opera in time. very busy so it was absolutley necessary to book. Which we did, and were seated on time.

Service was attentive and food was good. There was a problem with not being offered the pre-season menu, but this was resolved with a complementary glass of wine. All in all a good and pleasant meal. A good start to the evening.

Although we often frequent Côte, this is a branch we have not been to before. Experience was, as always excellent in terms of ambience, service and food. A delightful meal in every respect for our party of six. Thank you!

A lovely meal and very good service despite the restaurant being very busy. We would definitely book to go again. The only downside is that the tables are very close together and crammed in.

We enjoyed another good meal with a reliably high standard of food and service. It's a busy restaurant so tables are fairly close together and noise levels are a little high. Good food at an affordable price.

We eat in a lot of Cotes. Today it was excellent especially considering the time of year and it was very busy of course. Excellent service too.

I selected the Christmas menu. For starters I had the breaded Calamari which was quite greasy. For main I selected the rib eye steak, I ended up leaving half of it as it was full of connective tissue - yuck!! Very disappointed!!

It was very, very busy and tables were too close together. The service was mixed: my main course of halibut was missing the braised leeks - I didn't bother asking for them as waitress seemed so busy. White wine was £8.50 per glass and not really chilled. The food that I did have was, though, well cooked. I wouldn't bother returning, as I felt that, overall, it was quite expensive for what we had and the atmosphere was chaotic.

We had to wait a long time for our food. We had told our waiter we were going to the theatre and we had to keep asking where our food was.

Cote Covent Garden has great food and a nice busy atmosphere in the heart of London. It must be the best value on offer in the City.

The usual Cote - excellent food and drink with excellent service and unbeatable value for money. The Christmas set lunch menu was a pleasant change from turkey. Why go anywhere else?

Very good.Reasonably quick and attentive service and excellent food and wine. Several menus to choose from so there wS plenty of choice. Have been to this restaurant several times with no complaints. Prices also very reasonable for London’s theatre land.

There were 4 if us and were offered a table in an area which could not seat 4 people comfortably- we were then seated in an area where the air conditioning was broken and hence blowing cold air onto us on one of the coldest days of the year. This could not be rectified. One of the orders was wrong and one of the meals was warm rather than hot. Have eaten at Cote many times and this was the first poor experience.

I do think that when Cote Covent Garden is booked, you make it absolutely plain to everyone that there are TWO Cotes in Covent Garden. In two taxi's, both of my parties went to the wrong one and had to walk in the freezing cold to the other one. Also - it's rather cold sitting next to the window in the Tavistock Road Cote - the windows are not double-glazed and its very draughty. Otherwise, the food and service were excellent, as we've come to expect from Cotes everywhere.

The quality of food high and of excellent value as always. Staff were very busy but still managed to keep the service flowing. The only complaint was the table we had which was right by the cash machine meaning that my chair got knocked numerous times!

Lovely service - everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Supper was good, but the endive and Roquefort salad was a bit ‘mashed up’. Pleasant, but not as good as previously when you had whole leaves and a little jug of cheesy deliciousness!

Lovely French atmosphere. Waiters were great, made us feel ery welcome. But the food was very average and frankly below par. Nothing like the lovely food in France; less than ordinary. A great shame as the menu, particularly the vegetarian menu, promised so much good food. Disappointed. :-(

First time at Tavistock Street and it didn’t disappoint. It was very busy but the staff and atmosphere was very welcoming. My main dish arrived which was the wrong one but was very quickly replaced with the correct order, so it was no big deal. Cote, you are a marvel, may it all continue.
