Lovely food, once again, and very efficient and pleasant service. Cote continues to pull the ‘rabbit out of the hat’ every time. Brighton Côte next!
Went for a meal after going to a matinee on Thursday afternoon. We pre booked a table, unusually the restaurant was extremely quiet, the waiting staff were attentive, the food was up to standard I have come to expect at this branch of cote. I think perhaps the upper management need to keep a close eye on the service and price since the increase in price. Restaurants can easily lose their excellent reputation overnight.
Great service and great food made this birthday meal really special. We really appreciated the birthday dessert and complimentary sparkling wine as well as the friendly staff
Been to this Cote before- ideally situated for the theatre and the pre-theatre menu is a bargain. Unfortunately my starter -ratatouille a feuillete - had the pastry substituted with a crouton. I queried this. It was still very nice, as was the seafood linguine. Pleasantly surprised when the waiter made my entire meal complimentary, as he had not told me in advance about the substitution. Excellent service!
Lovely afternoon. Bit squashed on our little table for two. Not quite enough room for plates, sides, drinks etc. Apart from that, really good food and service.
Not a very welcome 'Welcome' (I visit Cote a lot - not usual) Busy and not enough staff (maybe reason for above comment), so Slow service. Unfair charging (although rectified),
Visited late lunchtime mid week. The restaurant was very busy but staff were friendly and efficient, Food was excellent and very keenly priced for theatre land.
We were expected; we were welcomed; we were served promptly and politely; the food was as expected with only the exception that the mushroom bruschetta starter appeared not be have been freshly prepared - the bruschetta had gone a bit soggy.
Really lovely staff, they were very busy so at times service was slow but this is to be expected around Christmas time. Food and drink were brilliant!
Excellent as expected by a frequent customer of Cote. Only complaint is that the crab starter on the menu was not available otherwise very good.
Love this restaurant, it was my birthday and my daughters 21st. Food delicious and staff great Excellent every time we visit there A definite 6!😀
Quality and Tasty food, nice location. Nice staff. Bathroom should be cleaned better, both of them were dirty. I would Reccomended the place for lunch.
Liked the atmosphere and the food. You feel like they really care for you and there's always a smile. We waited a lot for our dessert (marvellous, by the way) but they sincerely apologised, and we understand that it could happen. Will surely be back next time we will be in London
Great value fixed price lunch menu! Really enjoyed by our party of 4 and would definitely recommend it! Good service and lovely atmosphere. Ideal location for the theatre.
Fab meal! Everything was lovely and the waiter was very attentive and accommodating! Everyone really enjoyed, will definitely be returning! ! ! ! ! !
Good food and service - Pre theatre menu great value and ideal before a show. Always select this restaurant and never disappointend - will be back in 2018.
Very good reasonably priced menu, and the waiting staff were very helpful in making sure my nut allergy was catered for. would recommend this restaurant!
This is a place where continuity is hard to achieve . The dishes we had this afternoon seemed to have being created by ‘children ‘ with an amateuristic and infantile imagination. Ratatouille fuillettage = a joke of few diced eggplant in fairly tasty tomato sauce with two of almost invisible dices of goat cheese with the same shape and size of the apple pieces of the dessert that one of the diners in our party had at the end . Tuna starter = an unappetising looking flat little mess served on a non too hygienic and I am sure ‘illegal’wooden board . Sea bass = miserable portion and dull presentation . Rabbit= two microscopic pieces of meat of unrecognisable nature , buried and hidden somewhere in a tiny terrine of cream potatoes (quite tasty I should add) which fortunately saved in part this otherwise ridiculous ‘main course’ insulted further with a pitiful garnish of six rouphly cut, semi raw and just boiled pieces of carrots. As mentioned above this is a place where you will be lucky to have a decent meal some days providing that many factors will be coincide at the same time on the day =ie. the right menu , the right staff cooking and serving and the time of the day you have your meal. Pre and post theatre menu should not be an excuse for poor food and presentation. Thank you SC.
A wonderful experience as ever. One of our favourite restaurants
Fun, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food, consistently great. What more could you want!!! My only negative comment would be that the The loos could be cleaner
Busy Xmas period, however we were welcomed seated and served by friendly waiting staff. Food was good at reasonable prices. Altogether a pleasant dining experience, we will return
We’re huge fans of Cote so we were slightly disappointed with this meal. Two starters of soup were served cold and the special steak was not cooked as asked. However, this was all rectified graciously and the service staff were very pleasant.
The New Year menu was quite restricted but the food overall was good. The regular menu looked good and would probably look at going there again. Also good spot for ore-theatre meal.
Very good pre theatre menu, which was served quickly and pleasantly. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was excellent. We have been there before and would definitely go again.
Booked special menu for New Years Eve and was pleased with the variety and quality served up on a very busy evening. Reasonable value for the West End of London at just under £50 per head including wine and service.
Extremely busy with theatre-goers we had to wait a few minutes for our table, and service was a little slow. Starters & mains were good.
Pork belly was very tasty and creme brule was excellent. Steak at medium rare was definitely worth a recommendation. Thanks!
Excellent meal on New Years Eve. Great service too! Was slightly apprehensive due to being a very busy night but needn’t have worried. Would happily go back.
Very good value in excellent location for west end theatres
Excellent as always. Food great and a Private corner as requested for 'ladies who lunched'!! Lovely waiter and we shall return yet again. Thank you
Ambiente molto piacevole e soffuso. Menù con piatti che si fanno apprezzare tra cui il petto d’anatra che ho assaggiato delicato e gustoso
A fantastic meal as always in a very convenient location close to Covent Garden. Attentive service and good menu choices which made for an enjoyable experience.
Excellent experience. Beautiful, well presented, delicious food. Service was friendly, efficient and fast and our waitress was a delight. Excellent value in the heart of theatreland.
Excellent food and service. Had the pre-theatre menu which was good value. Really vibrant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this venue when visiting this part of London. .
Good food, good service and excellent value. This restaurant is ideally located for theatreland and is to be recommended. Third visit and will go again
Great service and at a good price. Location was perfect as we were right near the theatre district! Would recommend for convenience and customer service.
Very good service, friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices. Have been going to Cote for quite a few years now and it remains consistently good.
Went for a pre-Xmas dinner. Despite being busy, the staff were as pleasant and attentive as usual. Food was great too. My friends always ask me to book this branch when they come up to London.
Had Pre-Theatre diner at Cote. Had the Pre-Theatre menu which is excellent value for money. It was not the first time we had that menu and had always had a good experience. This time we were slightly disappointed since the quality of the food was not as good as on numerous previous occasions (e.g. the chocolate pot dessert was disappointing this time). But all in all still an enjoyable experience and good value for money.
We gave Cote in Covent Garden a try before our night out at the theatre. Would definitely recommend. Good food with great service and reasonable prices for the West End!
Perfect location for the theatre, good simple tasty food at reasonable prices with good friendly service. What more could you want from a pre theatre meal.
Quick and efficient pre theatre meal. Good selection on menu - both pre theatre and dad main one. Inevitably very busy so not the place for a quiet chat.
Excellent and prompt service. Decent food but boeuf borginon meat was too dry. Nice Pinot Noir. Very good location for several theatres. Would visit again.
Superbly organised. Great staff and of course food was brilliant. Moules frites had a genuine French feel. Steaks great and deserts sublime- tarte tatin yum yum. All at a very reasonable cost.
A very enjoyable early supper with friends. A great selection in the set menu.
Buzzy atmosphere with staff on good form and working well together. Food up to usual high standard of Cote. Always a consistently good experience wherever the location.
Lovely waitress. Helpful and cheerful and patient. Good good too! Very convenient for the theatre, not far for elderly members of our party to walk. 😊👍
Very comfortable atmosphere, enjoyable food and helpful and friendly serving staff. The manager remembered us from a previous visit and made us feel welcome. One of our go to places when in London.
Very poor range of veggie options, and my risotto was swimming in oil. I left most of it. An "optional service charge" of 12.5% was added to the bill, but when paying by card, there was no "option" not to pay it.
My steak was over cooked and inedible, however the manager walked passed several times and never acknowledge me despite asking others how there meal was. When I went to pay they then offered me a new meal which was ridiculous considering my wife had finished her meal. Overall a very disappointing visit
