Quality of food and service excellent as usual All staff attentive even at their pre theatre busy time and we didn't feel pressed that we needed to rush our meal.
Busy restaurant and good vibe but We didn’t get the starter before the main, and got our bill in the middle of the main course which felt very weird
Saturday night, busy, hectic, nevertheless we had excellent food, good service and the staff even took time to present a little brownie with a candle and sing happy birthday. A really enjoyable experience.
Extremely busy prior to theatre but service was good and the food was good too. Well organised front of house so that people who had not booked knew when to return. Booking essential around theatre times.
Excellent service, extremely good food and wine, but that's I expect when I go to Cote. I rarely use any other restaurant chain as Cote are one of the most consistent ones at the present time .
Good quality food. Very busy. Tight tables. Nowhere to hang coats. Delay in getting the bill settled nearly made us late for the show. Overall very good value.
Great location for theatres in the West End, good selection on menu, excellent food and service, great value. Will definitely visit again in the future
Friendly, efficient, polite service. The food is delicious and extremely reasonable. Close to theatres and the Opera House which is a real boon. The fact that it is very busy is proof of all these positives.
I particularly like the fact that Côte does a gluten free menu and are sufficiently clued up to, where possible, adapt a dish on their specials menu to be gluten-free. Service is always friendly and helpful without being overbearing.
Lovely meal, friendly team all working hard. Charcuterie excellent and really enjoyed both the tuna and steak. Excellent value as we had a complimentary bottle of wine
Four of us dined at Cote in Tavistock on Friday 19th January from 6:30pm. Despite being so busy the waiter was very attentive and helpful as we're staff serving our food at the table. Three of us ate the chicken with mushroom sauce and Dauphinois potato. The chicken was tender and tasty as was the mushroom sauce. One of our party had salmon which he described as delicious. The Coup Noir for dessert was a real treat. The warm dark chocolate on vanilla ice cream ended my meal perfectly. We always enjoy trips to this branch of Cote. The staff are amazing. They always appear calm and positive even when the restaurant is packed! Look forward to going again soon!
The food was fine. Service a little too fast, you get the feeling they would quite like you out quickly The Ladies toilets were dreadful.
Great service, excellent food, wonderful location. We went for my husband’s birthday and they really looked after us. I’d requested a good table when I booked and they gave us a fabulous table in the window with a view. When I booked I also said his favourite dessert was a creme brûlée and wondered if it would be possible to pre-order one for him - the person who answered said they’d make a note of my request. I then forgot I’d requested that! So it was a lovely surprise when the waiters came over singing ‘Happy Birthday’ with a candle in the most delicious creme brûlée for him!! Wonderful evening 👍🏼😊
Good food of very reliable quality and representing excellent value. Cote always offers value for money and they are always in popular locations. Pre theatre menu is great.
The food at Cote is consistently great! The staff at this location in Covent Garden were very friendly and the atmosphere was great! We will definitely come back:-)
Excellent all round. A lovely meal and great service. Would definitely return for a pre theatre meal again, Very Reasonable too . This requires 25 words so waffling now.
Cote Covent Garden - tavistock Street was an excellent dining experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and well priced.
Great pre theatre meal. Were served promptly which is greatly appreciated when rushing to a show afterwards. We had a lovely dinner with great service.
I cannot praise the staff and management enough when they came to the aide of my wife when she took ill just as we were leaving the restaurant last Tuesday ( 16th ) evening. We had thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were heading to see 42nd Street. They were very concerned and treated the whole incident with efficiency, kindness and concern. I am happy to say she recovered enough to see the show . If we are ever in London again we would definitely eat at Cote. Many thanks . Ian MacRae
Great value for pre theatre menu. There is also plenty of choice ( for non veggies) and the menu changes regularly. 3 courses and wine cost us £25 each, including service.
Excellent meal. Excellent value for money. Great service and so near the theatre. Did not feel rushed in any way. Nice break between courses. An excellent waiter.
Buzzy, friendly and authentic despite being part of a chain. Good food and attentive service; pre-theatre menu is great value. Will return soon I'm sure.
Enjoyed a really nice meal after a show. Staff were friendly and food was very enjoyable although the desserts were a little small from the offer menu.
Enjoyable French food in a pleasant atmosphere, with a good range of choices on the set menu and a bottle of Syrah to help it down. Good value and good service too - just the right amount of attention! We have been a number of times and will undoubtedly continue to do so.
Friendly staff, quick service and remembered us when we went back later that night as we had left a cardigan. Happy to go back again.
Nice food but the staff need to be a bit more 'switched' on and aware of who is trying to get their attention rather than us having to get their attention all the time.
I assume that 6 is the highest, not the lowest! An excellent meal, with great service, a very extensive menu, and altogether a memorable experience.
Absolutely lovely food as always. Service was brilliant, attentive but left in peace. Always a really nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a date night or meal with friends.
Excellent service excellent food great surroundings and great location to Covent gardens and theatre land, Pre theatre deal was extremely reasonable and of excellent quality.
Excellent food and great service. Pre theatre menu and timings are just spot on. Food is served quickly and piping hot - only reason to to give 6 is tables are a little close together but then it is London....
Lunch was delicious. Service was good & staff helpful & friendly. We would prefer to offer a tip for good service rather than the restaurant adding it to the bill. Will definitely visit again & we very much enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. Thank you.
Sadly, we had chosen a Wednesday which, apparently, is always busy due to the matinees in the surrounding theatres. Consequently it took some time to take our order but that was okay because we were catching up. However, we both ordered moules frites which we have had many times at other Cote restaurants and they were disappointing to say the least. The waitress asked us how our meal was and we told her so she gave us free coffee to soften the blow. We were also offered a free bottle of wine at the beginning of the meal - as part of our deal, apparently - but neither of the wines tempted us. I think it would have been better if we had been given a discount on the wine that we did choose after our disappointing meal rather than a coffee. This has not put us off Cote in the future as 90% of the time it is good.
Lovely food and friendly and efficient service. It was too noisy for us, but you cannot do anything about that. We will be going again.
Great food and atmosphere on a Tuesday pre-theatre evening. Staff were helpful and attentive. I would certainly visit again or any of their other branches. One of the best chain restaurants around.
Once again a great pre theatre menu selection. The staff were charming and the meal excellent. Service was perfectly timed to fit our schedule! Great value for money.
A very good experience. Excellent and professional staff. Everyone enjoyed the food too. One slight criticism would be that slightly too many tables are squeezed into the available space. We find Cote is reliable everywhere (and the best place to eat in Cambridge).
Excellent food, service and atmosphere as always.we have rarely had any problem here in many visits. Minute steaks in particular very good and tasty for such a thin cut.
The whole experience was excellent. We arrived at 5-10pm for our table and after aperitifs we enjoyed one of the best meals we have had in a Cote restaurant. The staff were all extremely charming and attentive and we are looking forward to our next visit.
Always a good experience at this venue. Great service, with a smile. Pleasant environment &, although usually always busy, things go smoothly. I return time & time again.
Nice atmosphere and helpful staff good food overall a nice experience. It was busy but we were served quickly by a friendly waiter and no complaints at all,
A good venue with timely service and a good range of food choices. We were interested in a venue that was close to the theatre and having used Cote before we knew that we would have an enjoyable time.
Great venue and location. Tables a little crowded in, but service was very good and attentive to needs. Meals were generally very good, but muscles were only average.
Nice atmosphere, friendly helpful staff .Food was good and with the early evening menu deals it is a great value pre-theatre option.Would certainly go again .
We had a meal from the pre-theatre set menu. The food was excellent, as were the staff. A very relaxed atmosphere even when busy. Thoroughly recommend.
We went to the Cote in Tavistock Street for breakfast as we had a meeting later that morning. I can only say how good the Cote Breakfast is. All the ingredients are of the best quality much as you would expect from Cote, the service exemplary, and excellent value as always. If you find yourself in London, or come to that anywhere near a branch of Cote, and need breakfast to set you up for the rest of the day I can highly recommend a visit to your local Cote.
Very nice meal. All courses were good. Not as cheap as originally planned as we ate a la carte instead of the pre-theatre menu. The sea bream from the January specials was excellent.
Service was quick (important as we were going to the opera), impressively so for a friend who arrived late and was served literally about 2 minutes after his order. Food was tasty, consistent with other Côte restaurants.
Excellent value pre theatre menu..the sea bass was particularly good. Only £43 for three of us, admittedly on Dry January and drinking only water, but two courses each.
Immediate, attentive service which continued throughout our meal. Choice of food excellent. Cooked perfectly. Reason for lack of six rating was a glass of Kir Royale was sent back twice because it was flat....third time lucky. Disappointing it was not recognised by the Bar Steward but was satisfactorily dealt with.
Great central location and it doesnt matter how busy it gets here its always 1st class service and usual Cote food quality. Always a good buzz at this location. Tables are a little overcrowded which makes for a bit too cozy dining if with "loud/rowdier" neighbours and staff have extremely limited space which at times can become a bit of an issue as husband attempted a more relaxed posture..stretching out his 6ft 3 height !! Dont normally eat with pre theatre session and will avoid in future.
